We have taken meds and puffers nothing is working. I have been coughing then leads to vomiting either flem or froth, and gasping for a minute or so out load to replace hair in my lungs.It is the most horrible thing... I get headaches and feel very tired. But told that we are to just relax and takes time :( Well to take time it's been over a month that we have been so sick!!!

Hi I have copd and when the coughing starts sometimes I "leak" the vomiting sounds serious though maybe a doctor visit is a good idea.
I would take her to her physician as soon as you are able, it is certainly not healthy for her to keep coughing and vomiting. The coughing will hurt her insides if it is too strong and vomiting will prevent her from getting her much needed nutrients from food, etc.
I really am not able to tell you what it is, it could be a number of things, and, as I said, it would be best if she saw a doctor.
Please let me know the outcome, I know she must be miserable.
If puking your guts out won't cause a miscarriage, then coughing and sneezing won't either. The body experiences a much more violent reflex for vomiting than either coughing or sneezing. I have had this for a long time. It had gotten somewhat better but then it was really bad again. Through process of elimination I realized I started a blood pressure medication the generic for Zestril. I cut the dosage back and it got better then I stopped it and the coughing & vomiting stopped. It's not gone but I'm out of the terrible period. Are you on any medicines?
She could have something called bilious vomiting syndrome. Even though it's called bilious vomiting syndrome, it's not an actual vomiting that brings up the foam, it's a gagging cough. This happens in some dogs when they first wake up, the stomach is empty from not eating all night and there is a buildup of acid. You can try an experiment to see if this is what it is - try feeding your dog a small snack late at night or, if you wake up during the night, give her a cookie or two.
My cat was coughing and breathing heavy. I took her to the Vet and after they took X-Ray I was told she has to be under medication for two weeks. I started her on Clavamox 15 ML but after couple of days I noticed she vomits after each intake. I was told by the Vet to give her Metochlopramide 5 MG first and wait 20 minutes before giving her Clavamox. She is not eating food and I am giving her Garbor baby food (chicken and rice) along with Clavamox. I noticed she still vomits after each intake.
my 7 yr old dgtr has been coughing and vomiting at the same time for going on 3 weeks now. She is asthmatic and has been diagnosed with bronchitis. nothing is helping the cough is about every 20 min awake or asleep. The cough started out to occur only at night and it has now moved to all day and all night. She no longer has any food in her stomach and just violently dry heaves. She keeps being given antibiotics and thats it.
I am not a alcoholic, I do drink on some weekends, I have noticed that I stop breathing and wake up coughing then that usaully leads into throwing up, this only happens when I drink liquor the stuff i throw up is black in colour, not like coffee beans any ideas what could be going on with me I am 42 yrs old thanx
How can I stop my cat from vomiting? She is taking Clavamox drops and was vomiting after each use. (except coughing spasm), 5 days ago she had vomiting, loss of appetite and then 2 episode of white poop. (last just today). yesterday she has some small urticaria on her body, hand and foot. I gave her Loratadine and now she is OK.
about your kids, could you understand what was the cause? should I go for blood tests and liver function test?

Yesterday when I drank my morning coffee I felt a itch in the right side of my throat, and began coughing heavily and ended up vomiting. I am a male age 60. In the last 6 months I have experienced coughing, choking and mucus for about 30 minutes after eating. I first thought it was related to a food allergy, but I cannot isolate it to any specific food group. I do not experinece and acid reflux or vomiting, just constant choking. I cannot eat because i get even more mucus and my throat is full of it and my stomach and my intestines and colon, from one end to the other...I was throwing up all night last night and it was mucus coming out both ends. It feels like I am going to drown. When I was a kid I would get it when I drank drinks with allot of sugar so I avoided sugar as much as possible but now......I recently got a thyroid blood test and TSH was high 5.8 but the uptake soft tissue test was normal.
