contractions stopped

My contractions were 4 mins apart after 10 hrs of having them, went into l&d and they were at 4 mins for another hour. I was only at 50% and dialted between 3-4. My doc was out if town and the on call doc said to stop my labor. I got a shot in the back of the arm and the contractions slowly faded away, and my cervix went back. Now I'm having contractions again in my back anyone ever go through this???

Hi I will be 35 weeks on Wednesday nd this morning I went into labor and delivery for cramping and turns out I was having contractions and dilated 1cm,they stopped my contractions nd I came home and slept for the remainder of the day but I wakeup with some contractions again and I think my mucus plug broke...has anyone delivered a baby at 35 weeks and was the baby ok...

Went in to labor on Friday night! Contractions 4 min apart. The dr on call have me meds to stop them because my dr was out of town. Been home since Saturday and they are back to being 15min apart. When they sent me home I was Dilated to a two and 50% effaced. What can I do to. Bring them closer.

I had preterm labour stopped at 27wks and had to have it stopped twice more in the following week until they found a med that worked. Good luck!

So relieved! After 2 days in the hospital they were able to stop contractions. Took a long time and lots of medication but I am finally home. Im 31 weeks and so thankful that things worked out the way they did. Was the scariest 2 days of my life! Im on strict bed rest only allowed up for bathroom and food, total of 1 hour a day. I have a 3 year old and a special needs 13 year old so the next 8 weeks will be hard with my husband working full time but we will make it work.

I just wanted to update everyone and say thanks for the prayers some of you ladies put on my earlier post. I went in to ER and was 1/2 cm dialated and having contractions every 8 minutes. They did an ultrasound to check baby, who is very healthy, and then gave me some Demerol and meds to stop contractions. Finally after 8 hours I am being released with instructions for strict bed rest for two weeks. So thankful my little man didn't come at just 16wk!!!!!

I was in the hospital Saturday (thought my water was leaking, I guess I'm just having increased thin discharge? Idk) and I was having a contraction every 4 minutes lasting a minute long. I actually lost my plug when I used the restroom during it, but the nurse said the contractions shouldn't be varying in intensity so I went home.

Last night I started having contractions, painful and the babies head was low and engaged, I couldn't close my legs, and had a hard time walking or even trying to roll onto my side. It took me a while to realize, hey I am in labor, so I grabbed my phone and started timing them, they were 6 minutes apart, and were consistent for 30 minutes. I told my husband we had to get the last of our items, because I thought the baby was coming.

They were pretty consistent, close and always around a minute long. Shortly after i stopped, they stopped though. I did actual work outs through my whole pregnancy, so i know it's not that. Does this happen to anyone else? I am 39 weeks.

Well I starting getting contractions Wednesday at 1am then lasted all day until they where 5 mins apart at 2pm so I went in and was 3cm dilated. Midwife told me I could either go home or go for a walk and be admitted to hospital. I decided on going home and in over twelve hours I was only 3 so didn't want to be in the hospital for ages. Well at 1am Thursday I woke up no pain nothing no movement from baby either.

Ahhhh im having contractions!!! They hurt so bad. I went to hospital, they sent me home cus im not dialated enough. they told me to come back Monday to induce me. Omg the pain is horrible!! why couldnt i stay in hospital and get drugged up?

Have anyone had contractions at 29 weeks that had to be stopped and if so how many weeks are u now

Hello ladies...last night I went to The hospital because my baby didn't move all day.. found out I was having contractions but I couldn't feel them.....anybody else have this?? They finally got them to stop after some hours and I didn't have to Get anything for them.....The nurse told me it could be causing my cervix to soften...I'm 32+5.....does it Or did it for some of you ladies who have been through this??

i haavee an ob appointment in two houurs, i have had labor stopped 5 times so im waiting too see whats going on. .

I had contractions very painful from 3 am to 9am and they stopped now I'm having them a few here and. There has this happened to anyone else?

My cervix was checked when I was having contractions every 3 minutes when I was 32 weeks they gave me a shot to stop contractions but didnt help but they gave me a pill every six hours thay stopped my contractions.

m 39 weeks and I had contractions every 10 minutes for 10 hours yesterday and they just stopped over night. Only had a handful of them today.

) And It made me very shaky and made the babies heart rate go up (doctors will explain them both being side affects) but it helped my contractions slow down then they stopped. Talk to your doctors about stopping your contractions, good luck!!!
