Yes, it's possible to get them just on one side. It's just one side of the uterus contracting instead of the whole thing.

Im currently 35 weeks pregnant and have been experiencing severe pain down my right side from my rib to my hip, then occasionally spreading into my abdomen. This has been non-stop for over 24 hours now. I have also been getting constant Braxton hicks contractions, sweating, headache and a cramp in my leg that won't ease. I have had a very smooth pregnancy so far, so unsure of what is going on.

Labor contractions will feel like menstrual cramps in ur lower abdomen. I used to get BH contractions all the time with my first pregnancy and it would come and go and never hurt.

So since I haven't gotten many feed back on here like I do on babycenter I was wondering does anyone get cramps on only one side on your first trimester? Like I hadn't had them just yet and tonight I am having them cramps ok and off like contractions... But mild though. Is it normal?

Okay so I'm 38+4, and today I got checked I'm 2Cm dialated. I inserted 2 primrose oil pills vaginally bout 2 hours ago or a little less and I'm getting like cramps on my left side but I don't feel them on my lower abdomen I feel them on my thigh up to my butt and back.. What foul this mean? I don't feel anything on my right side btw!

I was just wondering if it's normal for my abdomen to be hard just on one side. I'm 17 weeks with my first. I had an ultrasound last week and my baby was really low on my left side and it's only hard on that side. My bff is a month ahead of me in her pregnancy and her whole belly's rock hard.

I literally just got home from my doctor and they had to stop my contractions. For me it started out in my lower abdomen on only the left side. They were so strong I couldn't move or breathe through them and it left me with tears in my eyes after each one. Those went away and about an hour later i started feeling a cramping that I can only explain as feeling almost like diarrhea cramps, in my whole belly.. It quickly started wrapping around into my back and my spine.

Drink a glass of cold water lay on ur left side and time contractions for an hr if they go away it's false labour if continue then go to hospital..

t think they are limited to one side or the other of the abdomen. I can also feel the tightening inmy stomach without putting my hand onmy abdomen. You probably are just feeling the baby pushing and turning.

ve also been having Braxton Hicks contractions for the past month but they were mostly mild pain in my lower abdomen and my stomach hardening and once I would lay on my left side and drink a bunch of water they would eventually subside. Also the baby is still moving but when he kicks during the cramping it feels like my uterus is going to break open. Is this what contractions feel like or does it sound just like normal pregnancy pains?

If they were contractions, your whole belly would tense up like a hard rock during the height of one. Then it would release at the end. Cramping on your left side may be ligament pain, or possibly even a kidney stone (I had two while I was pregnant, and round ligament pain the whole time). Speak about this with your midwife or OB and they can put a fetal monitor around you to check for contractions or fetal movement.
