I watched some moms blog video that had ten tips.. One of her tips was think of contractions like your pushing it out of your body, sounds weird but they only last about 30 seconds so to keep a positive mind and act as if the contractions were going through your head and out your feet... Hopefully when the day comes it'll be a lot easier done than said ahaha!

At my Dr appt on Monday I was dialiated to a 1 and today all day I have been having random painful contractions. There between 10 and 15 minutes. What do you guys think..

I did tons of research when I first started having my symptoms and almost all anxiety checklists list blood pressure/heart palpitations/etc as the top symptoms. you can get them even if you aren't feeling anxious. I decided to go through with all the testing mainly because I'm a hard person to convince and the only way I'll be able to truly believe it's anxiety is if I have physical proof that my heart is alright.

I'm wondering that too cause i told my doctor about some pressure i had in my stomach one day, and it went to my vagina after and he said it was probably just a contraction and didnt seem worried or anything like that. I thought they were only common during your second, but its my first.

I'm doing ok. Last night I had some abdominal pains for about 2 hours that really scared me. I think I just overdid it at my kids ballgame last night. Once I finally got comfortable in bed & fell asleep, the pain subsided. It could have been contractions, b/c my tummy got hard during the painful episodes. Hi there. Well, many women have Braxton Hicks contractions which are not true labor contractions. It's sort of like a rhythmic hardening of the abdomen. However, true contractions at 5 months can happen if you are in premature labor. I would contact your doctor to see if you should be seen or to get clarity on what you should do. BH contractions are again, common and you just rest. They are pretty harmless.

I have had contraction like pains for the past few days... never consistent but they hurt, I no Braxton hicks arnt suppose to hurt. I also had some light spotting this morning. I'm 28 weeks 3days. Hey im 26 weeks and having contractions the last few nights i know that these can be common but are they caused by doing to much and maybe pushing ur body to far or just another pregnancy symptom

I had these and it turned out to be siatica (sorry about spelling) common later on in pregnancy. Would definitely get it checked out though.

Well it has to start sometime..... Some women feel contractions like cramps all day until they get stronger and closer together, other women ( like me) wake up in the middle of the night and their water breaks or you feel strong contractions that are really close together and getting stronger!!! Mine stated at 4 minutes apart and pretty strong and only increased from there until I was in so much pain I was puking less than 3 hours later!!!
