4419530 tn?1368475773 Nothing is working.
Avatar f tn 3 wks today and at my last appointment I was just a tad opened (which had nothing to do with neither or these ) and cervix was very soft (wich was the point. I like getting lots of Braxton hicks contractions because I know the more I have them the more efficient they will be when the real thing comes :-) Also good to know- neither of these things won't induce your labor! Good luck momma!
Avatar f tn yeah, and I have to insert 2 capsules nightly for a while. What it will do is soften my cervix in hopes that the contractions I am having start to cause my body to react to them and move me along. She did tell me it will not start labor, but might get me moving in the right direction so that my body starts thinking it is ready, so to say and does the things it needs to to move it along. Anyone else doing this, or have done this, and if so, did it help you at all?
Avatar f tn Hi ladies..... I've been in slow labour for 6days now, last night was the worst night by far, contractions got 4mins apart and really quite strong. When I got examined they told me my cervix is still really thick so got quite a way to go yet. I'm 38+3 , baby has been engaged from 36 I suffer bad from SPD and now I'm contracting for my 6th day in a row.... :'( I have read that EPO can help thin the cervix. Is this true? Has it worked for anyone else?
Avatar f tn Hopefully this works, the contractions are horrible but not consistant. Has anyone taken it? If so how long did it take to work for u if it indeed worked. Im losing patience!
Avatar f tn I'm going in for my 37wk induction due to Cholestasis on Tuesday but was told she isn't engaged, she's just floating. I was wondering if any of you have used this oil or know of any methods I can try to start contractions?
212350 tn?1376428115 I was wondering if any of you ladies know anything about evening primrose oil capsules? I had heard they were good and help with getting pregnant. However I have bought some and it says on the packet do not take if you are pregnant or are likely to become pregnant???? Bit confused, also I have started folic acid and vitamin B6 n(also heard this helps) do you know of anything else that maybe useful?
Avatar f tn I feeling discomfort and back pain and pain in my abdomen. I also have swelling in my legs and sometimes it is so hard to walk around. I can't even lay down on my sides, back or face down on my bed. My butt bone off and on is pushed out. I can even feel my babies stretching and the bones cracking, and for some unknown reason I have a strong increased of (appetite) < is this normal???.
Avatar f tn Im 33 weeks 3 days and i am having a lot of pressure in my lower stomach and lower and middle back. Do these sound like contractions? I am a ftm and idk what to do. My stomach is also constantly hard but my baby boy is still moving around a little. Thank you for your response in advance!
Avatar f tn Yay!! Thanks! I love all these positive responses!
6333619 tn?1386598382 You can also take red raspberry leaf capsules or drink the tea. It is a uterine toner, which promotes more congruent contractions during labor and can decrease the amount of bleeding postpartum. It also helps breast milk come in sooner. If your past 38 weeks you can take 3 capsules or drink 3 cups a day until 2 weeks postpartum.
Avatar f tn I had what I think were to contractions yesterday evening. The first one was very extreme, I was sitting at dinner and my stomach started to tighten up, and a very intense pain started. I couldn't even move! Everything hurt so bad, my boyfriend tried to get me to stand up but I couldn't. It only lasted for about 2 mins, then later in the car I had the same feeling again but not as intense. Are these contractions?!?
689528 tn?1364135841 I may start to take it next cycle...I already take a lot of things but if it helps with cramps and all that fun stuff then I may consider it.
Avatar n tn Hi everyone am 37weeks gone and have been having menstral-like cramps every evening a kind of pressure on my cervix that feels very heavy for three days now can I possibly be having contraction or does it mean something else?
212350 tn?1376428115 According to research, EPO helps to produce more EWCM during your fertile period. But it can cause uterine contractions in pregnancy too. Best time to take EPO is before ovulation (the start of your af til ovulation). Once ovulation is over, you can take flaxseed oil or fish oil. That's what I have been doing. EPO before and during ovulation and fish oil after ovulation until period arrives. Hope this helps...good luck in ttc.
Avatar f tn But I read it helps contractions so good luck
Avatar f tn Ftm. 39 weeks today. Gave in and started taking evening primrose oil yesterday. 2000mg orally in the AM, 1000mg orally with dinner & inserted 1000mg vaginally before bed. I had 2 contractions within a couple of hours, nothing that progressed though. Has anyone else gotten contractions after taking EPO vaginally? I know its just supposed to ripen the cervix, but found the timing odd.
Avatar n tn Has anyone ever took evening primrose oil to help induce labor? If so did it work? And did it help speed things up? And when did you start taking it?
Avatar f tn The epo it's supposed to help you to induce labor, but they have any reaction like diarrhea, or upset stomach or things like that, I been having contractions and I'm 37 weeks 2 days I'm thinking on drinking it, and how many did u take???
Avatar f tn Hi ladies is hope you are all doing well.
Avatar f tn 36 weeks and wondering if anyone's done evening primrose and had good results?
Avatar f tn has anyone ever tried this & it worked? if so, did you take it orally, vaginally, or both? & how many? & what mg? ive been really thinking about trying this. interested in hearing about your experiences.
9830120 tn?1413507947 My dr also said that the baby is really low in my pelvis ready to come but no contractions
Avatar f tn I took one orally a couple hours ago, and just inserted one vaginally, and I hope it does something. I swear i have been in labor since last night.
Avatar f tn I started using evening primrose oil yesterday and I wanted to know how long it took for the ladies that have tried it to see any effects. I have the 1300mg tablets and I have been doing 3 in the day and 3 at night. I haven't noticed any changes and last week I was having contractions but no dilation and I haven't lost my mucus plug. I'm 38 weeks now.
Avatar f tn So, I'm getting contractions (they still feel like braxton hicks though) but they're every 30 minutes or so... And every time I get one a few seconds after it starts my baby starts moving around. Is that normal? Do you think baby is actually moving or is my stomach.moving him/her. I'm 40+4 so I know real ones are coming I just don't know/think these are the real deal?
Avatar f tn around 1230 i wasnt really able to get to sleep and wanted to soak in the bath... i ended up cleaning the entire bathroom before i got in the bath ( for some reason i juat couldnt get in with out cleaning first probably some nesting going on...) but i soaked in the bath and got out... inserted anoth capsule and layed down. by 130a was having mild contractions about 10-12 minutes apart was able to fall back asleep in between...
8227972 tn?1414913484 i had an appointment with my doctor yesterday and said that one of the pregnant women whom i was talking already gave birth.. she was taking the evening primrose oil at 36 weeks and at 39 weeks she decided to pay my doctor a visit because she cant sleep.. so my doctor checked her and said that she was 5 cm dilated..she asked to wait for her husband who brought her stuff..she never felt contractions until an hour later and when checked was already 8cm dilated..
Avatar f tn I am 40 weeks + 1 day had an appointment with Dr today. The reason I have had problems dilating due to scar tissue on cervix from 2 previous D&C procedures. I was admitted this evening at 6 30pm contractions are 6-7 minutes apart. Hopefully with medicine I will be holding my baby within the next 12 hours.
