contractions hospital timing

Ive been feeling weird since yesterday and today ive been really crampy then it turned to contractions. Ive been having these off and on since 27 weeks but they never really hurt and would fade away if i sat down. Well i finally sat down and the contractions keep happenin, so i started timing them and they're every 5 mins about 45-55 seconds long. They hurt but more back pain then anything.

How far apart should they be before i call my doctor or go to the hospital? I live 45 minutes away from the hospital im delivering at.im 37 weeks 3 days.

2 weeks and I was wondering when I do start to go into labor (hopefully not for another 8 weeks or better) when should I go to the hospital since I live an hour away to the closest hospital should I wait till my contractions are 2-3 min apart like everyone says to do or should I go in sooner since it's further away? Thank you for your advice.

Where I live they tell u to go into hospital if your contractions are 3-4mins apart and the contraction lasts about.

So I've been timing my contractions for the last while and they are about 60 seconds long 5 - 7 minutes apart. I expected them to be more painful though? And now my little guy has the hiccups. Did anyone else have these kind of contractions? They are tightening with back and abdominal pain. Even when I adjust positions they are continuing.

My doctor told me not to go to the hospital until I'm having contractions that are 5 minutes apart. Start timing them and if they're getting closer together go in and get checked. Better to be safe. Good luck!

When ur timing contractions and they're 10mins apart 4 instance. Do they have 2 b EXACTLY 10mins? Or can they b 6mins and 10? Or 10 and 12? And still be real?

Okay, so Iv had atleast five contractions in the last hour and a half, about 8-10 minutes apart.... but they I haven't had one in about 20 minutes.... can it be the start of labor???? I'm 38 weeks!

Could be contractions. Are they consistent? Have you started timing them? If they are consistent call l&d and they will tell you when to come in!!

I'm 39 weeks 5 days. I had a csection with my first at 39 +4 last time and never once felt a contraction or loss of plug (or BH.) I definitely don't plan on going to to the hospital until I know I'm having contractions much closer together or my water breaks. I just wasn't sure if each contraction is normally exactly the same amount of minutes apart or if that is just how they get once they are very close together.

So last night I started having contractions and my fiancee was timing them they were about 5-6 minutes apart... well after about 2 hours they just stopped... n now I feel them every once in a while but there's no regular patern.. my due date is april 8th and last week when I went to potty I saw my mucus plug... could baby be about ready to come?
