I am on strict bedrest because my placenta is grade 3 and ready for labor but when I wanna go in for the contractions they stop. I've had 2 children 1 with an epidural and 1 natural I know these are not Braxton hicks because if they were I would not be dilating.
Idk what contractions feel like. But I've been having pain in my hips lower back and vag. Sometimes when baby moves. It does hurt pretty bad when baby hits my cervix!

Well if you're having really painful contractions (which you should be if deciding to get epidural) then you won't really feel anything because the contractions will be so bad :)

How far along are you? Could be Braxton hicks contractions or real contractions. I hope the drs get back to you soon. If they are really bad and close together I would go to the hospital to get checked especially if you don't hear from the drs soon.
You'll have a lot of contractions from now until you deliver, and they are not all contractions that cause labor. Please google or look up in your pregnancy book "Braxton Hicks contractions" for more information. When the contractions get serious, you can tell because they get more regular.
In my case, I had a lot of Braxton Hicks contractions and then they got serious, and THEN the amniotic sac broke. That's probably the usual order for most women.
Don't be I was induced and I was on low dose BC of my baby's heart rate but I had her natural its jus ur body and how well baby does with contractions I'm sure u will do fine stress is the worst thing u can do try and stay calm and think positive

I too am a ftm and in the info my Dr got me for my third trimester, I understood early contractions are any contractions before 37 weeks AND when the contraction frequency is four or more in an hr.
last night I went to the hospital cause I was having pains turns out I was having contractions every 4-5 mins but they were only lasting 10 seconds instead of the whole 40,seconds. So they told me I was dehydrated and they put fluids in an ivy. That made the contractions separate but I was still having them. And now today there back close together and within 4-5 Mins apart also.
Okay because I haven't had contractions start yet and I didn't know if I needed to be having contractions before my water has to break! I'm a first time mom, only 20 years old so I only know so much! I didn't know if I peed myself because I was yelling at my mom.
I'm 38w 5d and had my first contraction this morning!! I never experience contractions or Braxton hicks before actual labor (same with my first) so I was pretty surprised when it happened and it was only one that lasted about a minute, and boy did it hurt!! Lol... definitely gave me flashbacks of when I had my first little girl and reminded me how much every thing is going to hurt, but regardless of that it was still very exciting. We're almost there may mommies!!
My last ultrasound showed fetal growth of 38-39 weeks with posterior placenta of grade 2 maturity. Baby weight is 3.3kg. There is no lightening or contractions yet. How long will the doc wait or will I hv to go for c section ??

the DH numbers that were put in me were 10million and mainly grade 3 and some grade 2! so lets hope it works! the wait is just killingg me! as far as symptoms are concerned! i have fun! expect some bloating but my doc told me i will have it due to the progesterone inserts! anyway please do let me know as soon as you have the news! wish you the very best!!!!
Put your feet up as often as possible and try to keep up with drinking water. I'm 29+1 and have been having contractions off and on for a few weeks now. If they start to get refular to where you can time them, you need to let your dr know asap. Other wise there isn't much they can do. Try walking around or taking a shower too. I just lay down and put my feet up and eventually they wear off...
So im 38 weeks today before i got put on bed rest i had steady contractions. Now that ive been off bed rest i have been walking and exercising some and the contractions will stop but once i stop moving the contractions stop as well...ive tried having sex, eating hot chili, squats, walking at an incline. The only thing i have not done is drink ******* oil..idk what to do...should i talk to the doctor about scraping the membranes...
Yes and they had notes from the lady I talked to on first shift (they do 7-7there) so they said they would check for contractions and that was it and I had 4 in an hour and they said come back when it's six. They didn't check to see if I was dilated anymore or anything. I told my hubby I'm gonna call my midwife and tell her they refuses to let me speak to her. I don't know if I can switch drs now or not but I'm gonna try another place that's about 30-45 mins away from me.
To be honest with u , my first labour was like nightmare. I started to feel strong contractions since my 8th month when i went to the hospital they said my little girl heartbeat so high and she is in danger, they control it then and kept an eye on me for 5 days then sent me back home,
At the week 39 i felt the same pain it was in friday i went to the hospital and they said i'm 1cm and i'll deliver on monday i went back home and i was so tired cant move or eat!
