7588086 tn?1400793414 I've been having them and not feeling them according to my Dr. I only felt them after my water broke for my daughter.
10064121 tn?1415176073 I went to L&D to get monitored because my blood pressure was through the roof (159/75) and got put on a fetal monitor for about four hours. The nurse came into my room and looked at me and said "can you feel that?!" I had no idea what she was talking about, she told me I'd been having full blown contractions. I had 9 of them and didn't feel anything! I don't get it? I thought they were supposed to hurt?
Avatar f tn I know how you feel ive been sent back home multiple times because i dont dialate enough for them i just want my baby boy out due date was yesterday and ive been depressed and feel like im not wanted and in constant pain
Avatar f tn I'm 31 weeks tomorrow & been having really bad pelvic pain for three weeks and my friend that's due two days before me told me I should go in for a piece of mind to get checked out since she did when she was having abdominal pain and found out she had a bacterial infection. I got the swab for infection, came back negative and so did UTI. And she also checked to see if I was dilating (WHICH HURT! Lol) and I'm not dilating.
Avatar f tn What do they feel like. You can tell me about braxton hicks and real contractions. I need to know!
Avatar f tn Braxton Hicks contractions feel as though your stomach tightens into a ball with pressure and can last for about 45 seconds. They're usually not painful and occur with no regularity. True labor contractions will consist of the same process (uterus tightening) but will be accompanied by pain that radiates either from the top of your uterus down to the bottom or from your lower back through to the front.
Avatar f tn So I went to the hospital to get my cyst removed from my (tmi) butt crack but I had to delay it due to the needle pain. & they wheeled me up stairs to check my baby and come to find out I have been having contractions and didn't know it or feel it so I goy my cervix checked early & it was closed & thick but had a dimple . I was wondering have u ladies had contractions & not feel them ? && what is a dimple mean in your cervix ?
7381903 tn?1391464888 My Braxton Hicks contractions that I have been feeling since last night feel more like the pressure you are talking about. I know contractions are different for everyone, so it could be the real thing for you, but I don't know. Good luck!
Avatar f tn I am 39 weeks on Monday, i had a biophysical last week and nurse said i was having contractions 3 mins apart and then this week had another test and was still having them, what does that mean?
338830 tn?1229999478 I was wondering what contractions feel like. For the past two days I have been having these menstrual crampy feelings. They seem to come and go. Like lastnight I was on the couch and they kept coming and going. The ones lastnight were accompanied by a very bad backache. UGH. Do contractions feel similar to menstrual cramps? If not what would you describe them as feeling like. I was just wondering bc if these are contractions, I shouldn't be having them as I am only 26 weeks. Thanks.
Avatar f tn I was told today that my having contractions can drop my blood sugar... in the past hour I've had 2 contractions and my blood sugars dropped very suddenly (this is unusual for me this 3rd trimester). I was wondering if maybe I had more contractions and just didn't feel them? The 2 I did feel weren't very intense or painful...
Avatar f tn Any of you experiencing un painful contractions and had no idea u were having them? And did that lead to labor?
7381903 tn?1391464888 I was having active labor and didn't even know! My belly was tightening and it felt like a rock then it would go soft then again but it wouldn't stop. No pain no nothing. My husband took me to the e.r. just in,case and I was surprised I was having real contractions 5 mins apart then later 3 mins. And I was dilated a 3 cm.
Avatar f tn Can someone please tell me kinda specifically how contractions feel? I'm 36w 3days & I think I'm having contractions ever 12-15 minutes but I'm not sure!
Avatar f tn I'm deff having them right now.
Avatar f tn Sounds like it to me. Are you able to time them?
Avatar f tn Contractions feel like cramps that get worse n worse. U can feel them bc they tightened up for seconds to minutes then release. Then do it all over again. If u put ur hand on the top of ur belly which is ur uterus u can feel them tight n release. Braxton hicks will go away if u lay on ur side, take a shower, or things like that. They dont get stronger n stronger. So hope this helps.
Avatar f tn Those may be Braxton hick pains. Contractions are painful and you can time them. They will come and go like of on a schedule.
8628831 tn?1407267564 Like really Ive always loved the feeling of BH contractions Now that ive been having more regular contractions and theyre more intense they just feel really good. Like im releasing a lot of stress off my stomach or something Im 3 cms dilated so im guessing they wont feel this way forever! Lol but it does make me hopeful in my attempts to go all natural.
Avatar f tn Most people say contractions feel like period cramps, but I have to disagree. I think they feel more like cramps you get when you are trying to hold in your poop until you find a bathroom, just more intense. I think too many people focus on timing contractions. Until they begin to make you cringe and hold your breathe, there is no need to time them and can put a lot of unneeded pressure on the mother.
Avatar n tn Im 33 weeks 3 days pregnant with my first child my doctor always asks if im having contractions i always say know but i dont know what they feel like so what do they feel like and how do you know if you leaking fluid
11195379 tn?1427921527 I feel them for a few seconds too. It might just be my lil one laying very low.
Avatar f tn 37+3, just wondering what contractions feel like and how you can tell them apart from Braxton hicks?
Avatar f tn I thought it was the way I was lying but when I tried to move it almost made me cry. Were they contractions? I was so tired I went back to sleep as soon as the pain stopped. Then I woke up this morning with my lower back and hips killing me again. I had to get on my hands and knees to make it stop. And now nothin is happening. Im 38+2... should I be worried?
