contractions every 3 minutes

I have been having contractions every 10 minutes since last night. I went to maternity services and of course they stopped. The doctor is not too worried but now it feels like it's constantly cramping and it occasionally gets worse. I've taken 3 baths today and that helps a bit but when I get out the cramping comes back. Any ideas to help with this pain?

Yesterday around 4pm I started having contractions every 10 minutes, around 8 I started having them every two minutes and went to the hospital to confirm I was having regular strong contractions every two minutes lasting a minute to a minute and a half each, they discharged me at 6 this morning because I wasn't dilating but in STILL having contractions every two minutes and they are still strong as ever!!!

So I'm at the hospital with contractions that are strong and every 3 minutes. I'm still only 2 and 1/2 cm dilated thou. So, I'm being sent home. I thought when contractions were that close they admit you???

How are things going now?? My contractions with my first baby took a few hours to go from 7 minutes to every 3 minutes, hopefully it'll be faster for you! Good luck girly!!

Im 38 and im having contractions every 5ish minutes lasting a minute. The thing is that they dont hurt. I just feel my tummy get tight and thats it. But doctor told me to come in if they were that often.. but if they dont hurt should i still go in?!

I'm having cramps that are 3-5 minutes apart and they last for 45 seconds then go away. They're a bit painful. But they happen in my back and wrap around my hips. last week when i was at doctor appointment i had NST and i was having contractions 3 to 4 minutes apart only lasting bout 30 secounds so she checked my cervix and i was still at 1 cm and long she said that my contractions where right on the line to irritable uterus and real contractions.

I was in labour for 3 days.. day 1 had irreguar contractions starting at 30 mins apart for the whole day the next day 2 they were 15mins apart and day 3 were 4 mins apart that's when I went in... I hope u don't suffer like I did but every woman is different good luck!

The protocol is go in when they are consistently every 3-5 minutes apart but if theyve benn 6 minutes consistently for 3 hours now, you should call L&D now.

So if your having contractions every 2 minutes, that means you have a contraction lasting 1 minute, and then 2 minutes later you will have another lasting 1 minute. If youre having contractions every 3-5 minutes for more than 1 hour, you are most likely in labor. Hope that wasnt too confusing.
