( I'm just soooooo thankful my husband has the night off tonight cuz i have to start dinner and he's taking over so i can get off my feet he's so worried about me and the baby this time around he keeps saying he thinks something is going to go wrong bcuz everything hasn't kicked in yet anyways I'm rambling sorry ladies i just really hope they stop very soon so i don't have to take a trip to the hospital :(

At what week do your doctor start checking ur cervix for dilation? I will be 32wks on Thursday but I ve my routine appointment tmrw.....just wondering.

Tiday u woje up cramping and at 21 weeks what could be wrong.

m 27 weeks as well, and have been having TONS of braxton hicks contractions. This baby is dehydrating me like crazy, I have to drink at least 1.5 gallons of water a day to stop the contractions. Good luck and take it easy!

Were they just braxton hicks? You can have contractions but unless they're really really painful (sometimes they'll be really really painful and not do anything to your cervix, too) or regular, with other symptoms of labor, it's nothing to worry about. I went in for contractions around 21 weeks, and I was having contractions but they weren't changing my cervix so they were just normal, I've had a few since, nothing serious.

Still in labor!!! Last check still at 8 cm 90% effaced baby head is stationed at -1. Have epidural but pain meds wear off and im so sick of the pain meds in epidural! I hate it!! Contractions ate taking away with it bit not the pressure beteeen my legs and that is painfully uncomfortable. I cant imagine feeling both contractions and the pressure paon from baby dropping and my body opening up!!!!

I was rushed to the ER with sirens n all via ambulance two nights ago, I started having contractions at around 2pm then by 5pm they were 2 minutes apart. My nurse called the ambulance & they put me on the monitor gave me meds and stopped labor. What are the chances of this happing again?! Has anyone had preterm labor so early? I'm scared..

Can you have slight contractions at 21 weeks?? Im 21+3 and its almost like cramps but different?

Also on the Anomaly scan results I see that although within the 5th to 95th centile range the Biparietal Diameter is at 52 mm (so slightly more than the 50 mm for 21 weeks) and the Femur length is at 32.9mm (so slightly shorter than the 34mm for 21 weeks). Looking at each in isolation I see references to Down's Syndrome - however my risk was 1 in 15000 so should I be worried? Should I now be asking for an amniocentesis or is the risk extremely low?

You will definitely know when you're contracting. It feels like a severe period cramp that come & goes every few minutes.. I was in the hospital for preterm labor last week & ever since I've had contractions, just not as constant or severe. I'm 33 weeks & 4 days btw.

I started having them with my first at 37 weeks, never felt them with my second, and started at 21 weeks this time.

So I got a breast pump and am just curious if it'd be safe to express colostrum at 21 weeks. I read that it's a good idea to express some and then store it in a syringe in the freezer until the baby is born, in case you can't express enough in the first few days of baby's life, so that baby can get the good kick-start they need with the stored amount. but at 21 weeks is this safe? Or is it best to wait until further along in the pregnancy?

With my first I started getting them at 21 weeks. This time around I got them earlier. Some days I get about 3 other days nothing. As long as they don't come in a pattern and are sporatic, it should be just fine. Be sure you are well hydrated.

For the past month have felt great....until this week. I am 21 weeks and I feel like I am back in a slump. I am back to being exhausted, super gasey, and I feel like my stomach has stretched a mile. I am so uncomfortable! I am hoping this was just a big growing week for my son and that this is not what my pregnancy will be like the rest of the time. So iv been having contractions since Saturday I'm only 30 wks and 1 day, I came here Saturday night and the dr on call sent me home, sunday I was still having them but not as bad, yesterday morning I had my weekly ultrasound and they called the my dr and told him that iv been having contractions and he told me to go back. I came here and they checked me my cervix is still closed and long. There keeping me here till my contractions stop.
