I thought just a little humor to start out day. In the small Texas town of Mt. Vernon , Drummond's Bar began construction on a new building to increase their business. The local Baptist church started a campaign to block the bar from opening with petitions and prayers. Work progressed right up till the week before opening when lightning struck the bar and it burned to the ground.

I do construction and currently 10 weeks and have done it since day 1. My question is, is it ok to be doing the heavy lifting, going up and down ladders all day. Power tools and all... ??

ve experienced this lightning pain, and although I have 3 weeks to wait for my appointment with the neurologist I am certain that this is due to spinal cord compression in the cerivcle spine(neck). I have weakness in my R leg and loss of sensation, I have nerve pain in both arms and have scoliosis(curved spine). I get vertigo(dizziness), headaches which are usually on 1 side or the back of my head and visual disturbances along with forgetfulness too.

i know this is tough to answer cause everyone is different while tx but are some of you folks in construction...doing high work with power tools..building houses?? ...thanks....

Okay so my boyfriend is in school right now for construction and said he wants to build her crib himself... I really dont know what to think of it. I trust him i know that he could do it but idk if that would exactly be the best option.. What do you ladies think? Would you let him do it or go out and just buy one from the store?

Hi All! We are getting ready to begin finishing my parent's basement into an apartment for myself. We will be doing most of the work ourselves mainly during weekends and will have someone coming in to work on the floor who will be using jackhammers for probably 2 days then put in two egress windows. We will have a plumber and electrician come in to work too. We will probably have people in for 6-7 days at once and then plumber and electrician do more later.

It's really not relevant whether or not I have personally seen such a case. As it happens, I have not, but I've also never seen a patient who had been struck by lightning. That doesn't mean it can't happen, but the odds probably are about the same as for oral sex and HIV transmission.

Hey ladies! I am 8w2d, and today I have these sharp pains that I can only describe as someone stabbing me in the hooha! I Googled it and the term that is used is "lightning crotch" and it is pretty much a round ligament pain. Has anyone else experienced this?!?

t there and Dr Siddique sent me for a neck xray and gave me amatrypsalin and he conducted neurological tests, i had right arm pain and weakness in right leg, when he pressed my pressure point(i think) on my right shoulder i got tingling in left arm right leg and right arm the xray showed there was no fractures but mild scoliosis to the right a while after that i had the worst spinal pain ever, it started in my neck and radiated through my body. it was like being struck by lightning.

Today I experiencedd numerous flashes of light like arcs of lightning. It lasted for approximately 15 minutes and then gradually went away. No other symptoms. What could be the problem?

Last night without warning it felt like I was being struck by lightning bolts over and over in my left thigh. It literally took me to the floor and blurred my vision from pain. When that finally calmed down I got intense pain in back of right thigh around leg into groin area and down back of leg. It hurts and burns plus is sensitive to touch or air movement. I have told my neurologist in the past and he just says its part of the joy of ms.
