Avatar m tn The risk during a nuclear stress test is extremely small for a heart attack, etc. or any adverse effect. To ensure your full safety, this test will be performed in laboratories that are fully equipped and very carefully and professionally monitor of the patients during the test and this will assure the detection and treat any abnormal conditions that may develop during the course of testing.

Avatar n tn Pus means there is an infection, and at this point I would see your doctor. You may have something embedded in your knee that you know nothing about, and until that is removed it will stay infected. A friend of mine woke up with extreme pain on one side of his stomach and when he went to the hospital they found a piece of metal embedded in his stomach. He was in construction years prior to this and still doesn't recall any incident where this could have happened.
Avatar m tn However two weeks after my release I was given a chemical stress test. It showed a negative response upon rest. My caridiologist suggested I undergo a catheterization, but due to the fact that I do not have insurance the procedures cost was prohibitive. My cardiologist said at the time that this procedure was not absolutely necessary as the blockage ( if any ) was minimimal. However he said he would like to know for sure. He suggested I get the procedure done at some later date.

Avatar f tn I slept with a man over 10 months ago, we had unprotected sex and 16 weeks later, I had a HIV test and it was negative and then 19 weeks later another and it was also negative. I then gave oral to the same man in April and he ejaculated into my mouth and i swallowed. Does this post a risk of HIV? I know he had a HIV test in February and it was negative but I am curious to know if an act like this can be a risk of HIV? Also, he performed cunnilingus on me.

Avatar f tn 6/3/10 6:09 PMHi - the cat scan of the chest 2008 noted subtle nodularity of the liver which may reflect cirrhosis. A sonogram is a non invasive procedure, if it also notes a nodular liver you likely have cirrhosis. A liver biopsy is invasive, it comes with a risk of a complication, it does not have to show cirrhosis even if you have it and the information will not change the management.

Avatar m tn For the same reason, you should consider also having a urine test for gonorrhea and chlamydia and a blood test for syphilis; once a year would be about right. Assuming no obvious condom breakage, you can expect negative results. I hope this has helped.
Avatar m tn It appears that you have hypothyroidism... Is TSH the only test that was done? You should also have Free T3 and Free T4 tested, as those are the actual thyroid hormones, whereas TSH is really a pituitary hormone, not a thyroid hormone... Also, can you please tell us what symptoms you have? Typically, when one has hypothyroidism, they are given a prescription for levothyroxine. Has your doctor suggested that you need a medication? There is no particular diet you need to follow...

Avatar f tn However, my 23 year old son has experienced 5 seizures in the past year and with each one of them he was exposed to a lot of construction dust. He suddenly had his first seizure 1 year ago when we started a major remodel in our home. I feel strongly that there is some connection to him developing seizures and our remodel, whether it be an allergy or exposure to some toxin. Do you have any documentation linking allergies with seizures?

152660 tn?1291755571 Hi All! We are getting ready to begin finishing my parent's basement into an apartment for myself. We will be doing most of the work ourselves mainly during weekends and will have someone coming in to work on the floor who will be using jackhammers for probably 2 days then put in two egress windows. We will have a plumber and electrician come in to work too. We will probably have people in for 6-7 days at once and then plumber and electrician do more later.
