1427258 tn?1282925864 My eyes are swollen, the whites are blood shot. I look like a completely different person. I have a disc pressing into my spinal cord in c5-6. I have swelling in the cranial-cervical junction. I have also had 3 seizures. I have been to the ER, had many MRI's ordered that showed these things but I don't have a family doctor to follow up on them. I don't know how to find good doctor here. I NEED care but can't get it.
Avatar m tn Concussion may appear like intoxication but any good doctor would be able to know the difference by just doing a blood test! You can definitely be drunk with a concussion ... again a decent physician is going to ferret out which is which! Take care ....
Avatar f tn Last winter I got a concussion. I called healthlink (in Canada it's a number you can call and talk to a doctor about health concerns) they told me to go in immediately if I felt sleepy, or I noticed bloodshot eyes or blood in my ears. If it's just the headache and you're pretty sure it's a concussion, I was told to go get it looked at within 5 hours of the injury because you could have bleeding.

Avatar n tn I was in a MVA Sept 2007. I have a grade 3 concussion. I have now had PCS for 6 months. Dr's say i'm looking at 1 year before i recover. I have major sleep problems, dizziness, nausea, fatigue, bad balance, headaches, memory problems,no sense of smell, sensitivity to light and noise, very poor concentration. Everything is a huge effort. I try pushing myself but that only has made me so frusturated I turn into a monster!
Avatar f tn Many things can cause blood shot eyes. Just having blood shot eyes is not a symptom. If you are worried then you can test 1 week after possible exposure.
Avatar m tn I'm 16 years old after my football concussion my eyes have gotten farther apart now I can't even look my friends in the eyes . Do eye doctors do surgery for this or medicine . What should I do ?

Avatar n tn Is this dilation a sign of fear, due to pain, or could it be something worse, like a kitty concussion? Or after reading other posts, rabies? (DOUBLE the dilation shown in the attached photo.
Avatar f tn That is why I am feeling it is not "dry eyes" like they say it is. Because my eyes were the most effected from the fall wtih the eye tremors and light sensitivity. I couldn't watch tv, or look at computer for weeks because my eyes would literally begin to tremor. The night I hit my head my eyes formed a crust. And eveyr night since. I am a speech path..I have worked with TBI's many times (now I know! for sure how to NOT treat them!
Avatar f tn was given prednisone which put me in more daze and gave real cold bad shakes shot bloodpressure up 170 over 100 somthing and was then give after that that put me in complete brain fog/ weak couldn't thank which stoped after off it for a for few weeks but still don't feel right. so medicine may have prolonged this. Avatar f tn This could be caused by a variety of factors, including a migraine aura, an eye muscle problem, or a problem with the blood vessels in your eyes. If your previous medical evaluations haven't found a cause, it would be best to consult with a neurologist for further evaluation, especially given your history of a concussion and post-concussive syndrome. It may also be helpful to keep a headache diary to track any patterns or triggers.
Avatar m tn Hi, It could be a concussion. Hope you don't have hematoma, CSF leak etc., Since you mentioned your eyes are dilated I suggest you go to ER immediately and get a CT scan done to make sure nothing wrong. Good luck.
Avatar n tn On Jan 14/09, I took a bad spill down 13 hardwood stairs, going unconcscious, breaking my nose and getting stitches between by eyes. I had a pretty severe concussion, but after a couple weeks bedrest I was up and running fine. About a month after the accident, I woke up feeling off. I had extreme vertigo and tightness in my head. I figured I'd sleep it off but it has not gone away. My symptoms are consantly changing but none the less, scaring me.
Avatar f tn My child has had a headache for months folowing a sore throat, ear ache, cold and then a head injury and mild concussion. The Doctor said it was sinusitus. Blood tests were fine except for an ASOT of >400. This was treated by antibiotics. A later CAT scan showed maxillary sinusitus but the ENT specialist said this did not explain his frontal headache. His ASOT is now >900. He is sick and tired and I am worried. Any clues?
Avatar m tn A few weeks ago I was hit in the head with a fairway golf ball shot. I suffered a mild concussion. Today I am experiencing a sharp intense pain just above my right eye close to my nose. The pain is very intense at the spot, but I feel fine other than the pain in that area...Shouldl I be worried???
Avatar m tn Brain/face CT came back clear. Have been diagnosed with Post Concussion Syndrome. Am still dealing with executive function problems with specific issues with visual scanning. Since my accident, I've been experiencing narrowed focus for both near and far objects. My peripheral vision seems fine, but have to make an effort to focus on objects. I have trouble focusing on the "big picture" if that makes sense. It feels like my right eye is working harder than the left.
16465326 tn?1448202692 The attending Physician said I checked out neurologically and did not order a CT scan of my brain. A concussion was her diagnosis. Since the fall I have had the following symptoms: 1. Whiplash as my sternocleidomastoid muscles in the front of my neck have seized up and are extremely sore. Especially bad in the morning upon waking until I get going through my day. 2. Extremely irritable as the smallest of things seem to enrage me. Not emblematic of my normal behavior..3.
Avatar n tn My daughter is 16 and has headaches 3-4 times per week. We've had her tested for allergies, eyes tested, no real issues. The doctor doesn't seem to think there's a tumor, mentioned the possibility of a pituitary tumor, but not certain. She usually gets them mid day, and is trying not to use OTC drugs, and when she does they don't always work. She is able to function, but it is tiring.
602261 tn?1252583158 I suffered a pretty serious concussion yesterday aside from that tonight is shot night and I only have five shots left. I do have a call into the Dr's office right now but I'm looking for some hint of what to do in the mean time. I know that sometimes when you have a cocussion you are not supposed to take medicine but last night I did take my trazadone to sleep and my riba before bed.
Avatar f tn Today, I was volunteering for something and I had to stand up for hours with only a few breaks, and I got a small pain in my head/eyes and I slept for a few hours afterwards. Do I have a slight concussion? Should I go to the doctor?
Avatar f tn I noticed i couldn’t hear anything, i could see my roommate talking and i knew i was screaming but i couldn’t hear anything for about 5-7 seconds. And my vision was in black and white for about 2 seconds. My roommate said my eyes went wavy, not rolled to back of my head, and then i fell sideways and hit my head on our dishwasher. Dishwasher has a dent. So, since this incendient weird things have accrued.
Avatar m tn Since January this year, I have experienced star bursting in both of my eyes, both eyes starburst differently, haloes when looking at bright lights or even dim light and ghosting at pretty much any time of day. I am unsure what to do as I feel the symptoms MAY be progressing. It is quite annoying at night as the contrast between light and dark seem to exadurate the star bursting, haloes and ghosting I am experiencing.
