concussion

Avatar m tn He did not lose consciousness however had stitches and a week later was having headaches and eye pain. Concussion was diagnosed and CAT Scan was fine and eye specialist saw no damage. However it has been over 3 weeks and he is still having eye pain and headaches. What else can we do?
Avatar m tn NOW it hurts when I shift them to the side too fast, or if I read on the computer. I get this SHARP pain behind my eyes and my eye muscle gets super sore. I went to the Optometrist and they said my eyes are totally healthy and maybe I have a focusing problem?? I'm scheduled with a neurologist, but my appointment isn't for 7 WEEKS! Any advice or hypotheses in the meantime would be helpful. Thanks!

1614777 tn?1298483489 Have had eye floaters for 28 years and the eye doctor says my eyes are fine but I think it's something else, tired of having them and they are the same shape all the time, they never differ.
Avatar f tn Those eventually turned into blind spots. Still today I get clogged ears when I wake up, headaches on my eyebrows and sometimes eye pain when I’m congested. I also have bad hyperacusis, tinnitus, and sometimes I’m dizzy. When I cry my ears burn and get clogged now. After I got a sinus infection I also get non stop muscle spasms when I’m just laying down. When I turn my eyes side to side I see weird outlines, and when I go outside I see waterlike outlines in my eyes.
Avatar n tn I had a concussion/memory loss and head, back and neck pain. Everything is starting to feel better, but I also have a pain behind my eye that is persisting. A doctor told me that there is a nerve that was causing the pain. It's been three weeks and no change. I'm following up next week to find out next steps. Have you had any progress?
1524559 tn?1291410896 I'm not a doctor, but I am a fellow fibro sufferer. I'm sorry you've been having such a hard time and undergoing so much stress right now. Muscle twitches can and do occur with fibro, but they can and do also occur with stress, so, unfortunately, it's hard to say what might be causing the eye twitch.
Avatar m tn My daughter has hit her eye and we are worried about a concussion.
Avatar m tn I suffered a concussion about 3 weeks ago. I had a CT scan that came back normal. At this point, all of my symptoms are pretty much resolved. My only issue is that my right eye has more floaters than usual and it has an abnormal "heavy" feeling compared to my left. There aren't visual changes (other than the floaters) and I'm not feeling any pain. Just a general and constant feeling of heaviness in my right eye/eye lid, which is not noticeable upon looking at my face.
Avatar m tn i have pain in the right back side of head, and had a concussion caused by a head injury four months ago and have been getting this pain off and on since the concussion, is that normal to feel this pain?
Avatar m tn Sorry, I get twinges 3-4 times of a headache above eye and like a pinch for a second near where I hit my head. I also have had horrible sleep, I wake up with anxiety.
Avatar f tn That is not due to concussion. You should be seen by an Eye MD ophthalmologist for a medical eye exam.
Avatar f tn I suffered a concussion falling down my stairs in March of this year. I never hit my head but hit my tail bone hard. I immediately grabbed the back of my head. After a CT scan in ER they sent me home with concusssion. I have had a three hour nueropthamologist exam...didnt find a thing.
8506420 tn?1398432580 Both eyes respond to torchlight, but the injured eye(dilated eye) does not undilate fully. There are no signs of bone injury nor any swelling could be felt. Kitten did not respond or show any pain when we felt the different portions of her head and body. There was no increase in heart rate and breathing. There is no bleeding from the nose, but there seemed to be anal discharge due to a foul smell, but no liquid is excreting.
Avatar f tn I have gone on one jog since, and two days ago, I went to a trampoline park with my kid and had no issues just mildly jumping around with him. The pain and vision are pretty constant and aren’t getting worse or better. I have not had any vomiting, dizziness, loss of consciousness, complete loss of vision, vertigo etc.
Avatar m tn I suffered a mild concussion. Today I am experiencing a sharp intense pain just above my right eye close to my nose. The pain is very intense at the spot, but I feel fine other than the pain in that area...Shouldl I be worried???
Avatar f tn Anyhow I had trouble sleeping no pillow was soft enough. My neck was the same. Funny the pain went to above the eye, to my temple. And the back opp f my head. My vision is blurry and I cannot go in a car. I can sooo dizzy and headache. Went to family doctor and he said the concussion has worsened because I need to rest. Brain Rest is what he said. I am finding it hard to listen. Because I have good moments, then I over do it and I get slammed.
Avatar f tn At times a subdural hematoma develops slowly and may be missed on the first MRI. Also concussion can cause persisting headaches and should be allowed to slowly subside before active sports are considered. Injury to neck, to jaw bone, and even eyes should be considered. Get his eye sight also checked. May be the headaches are because he needs spectacles. -Take care!
Avatar f tn It has been more then 24 hours . And I'm feel not so good I take something for the pain and my head dos not feel so good on top .its feeling warm and some burning to and I'm not feeling so good in my tome to .

1433614 tn?1283448459 My question is, is can my eye pain (that feels like something is between the outside edge between my eyeball and the eye socket deeper inside) really be associated with the Concussion? and what are the Possible issues at hand? What could be wrong? Thank you again for your information and insight i greatly appreciate it would just like an idea of what could be wrong.
Avatar m tn what ended up happening, we too have a two year old who 'probably had a concussion' and we were at the ER twice last Saturday and she keeps pointing to her eye that it hurts...
Avatar f tn 2 years ago, I had a coup-concoup concussion (I think that was how to spell it). Ever since then, I've had a never ending headache. It's even in my dreams. I also get migraines where my brain smacked the other side of my skull. Then last Christmas, I hit my head on my temple and got a minor concussion then. But there didn't seem to be any lasting remarks from that. Anyways, yesterday I plopped down on my bed and hit the back of my head on my windowsill.
Avatar m tn I think I aggravated my neck several times since the initial injury and developed some significant pain/stiffness in my upper back and neck. This stiffness/pain caused my head to hurt wherever it made contact with the pillow. I've seen two athletic therapist, two RMTs, a physiotherapist and a chiropractor. I've had some relief with these therapies but the issue has remained.
Avatar f tn Hi guys! I have had a variety of problems with my vision over the last month. Decreased vision(mainly at night or in dimmer rooms), sensitivity to really bright lights and periodic blurriness. I also woke up one morning with an ocular migraine aura( went awat after 10 mins). I get pain in my eyes and above them as well. I also have had a headache daily for the last month. The headaches vary in severity and are typically on my forehead area and on one side of my head.
Avatar f tn About 10 minutes ago I hit my head on the ledge of the counter so hard it broke. I can't really tell exactly where I hit it because it all hurts. I think it's in the middle of my head to the right. I'm now starting to feel a pain in my right eye, it's kind of throbbing. I also feel pain all over the back of my head. Anything to be worried about?
