Concerta dosage mg

Common Questions and Answers about Concerta dosage mg

ritalin

Avatar n tn Interesting, I can find no mention of a 32mg dose of concerta. Is he on a 36 mg dose? if he is, "The maximum dosage of Concerta should not be greater than 0.9 mg per pound of body weight." fish oil is certainly something worth trying. There are ones out there developed specifically for kids (chewable, etc), and they will have the suggested dosage on the bottle. I really can't see any reason that primrose (I assume the oil) would be worth your money.
Avatar f tn Sorry, I don't know of any coupons for the 27 mg dosage. There are many others who are looking for the same thing(coupon for a better price) and there just is not one right now. You can contact Concerta on their website and ask them if they will have any coupons for that dosage at another time.
Avatar f tn I also take Pristiq (150 mg/morning), then as you know the Concerta (108 mg/morning), Abilify (15 mg/night) and Epival (1000 mg/night). I also take Meloxicam and Tramadol as needed. But I rarely bother with the Tramadol as it barely does anything for my pain.
Avatar m tn Concerta comes in 18,27,36, and 54 mg in the US.
Avatar m tn ive been on concerta since i was 10, when they were figuring out the dosage, this would happen to me when the dose was too high. so they lowered the dose and ive been on the same dosage for almost 12 years now. so my suggestion is to lower the dosage if possible. though youll notice side effects the first couple of weeks as the body gets used to the meds. so even if you switch meds you may notice side effects anyways.
Avatar n tn She takes one pill that is .01 or .1 mg at bed time to help her sleep because she gets a little extra energy when the Concerta wears off at night. The Clonadine helps her sleep, helps the Concerta work during the day and has helped a bit with her appetite. My 1 year old still eats regardless, just less than she does when she doesnt take her meds. They are both very thin so I still worry about it as their mother, but their doc doesnt seem to worry at all.
Avatar m tn His pediatrcian has put him on 56 mg of Concerta with an addicional 19 mg while at school and 10 mg after school so we can get through homework. We recently started seeing a psychatrist and he said the school meds are way too high and should only take at most 56mg for school. He seemed ok on the higher dose. What should I do?
Avatar f tn 10 mg a day and he is on the slow release - he is small, only about 42 lbs.
Avatar f tn Hello, I lost 15 pounds over the last 3 months. I'm taking Concerta (36 mg- twice per day), Tecfidera (240 mg twice per day) and Brintellix (10 mg). I have no appetite and when I eat everything tastes awful. Concerta and Brintellux are more effective for me versus Modnafinil and Cymbalta. However, I can't afford to lose anymore weight. Additionally, I'm only sleeping about 3 hours per night due to trips to the restroom.
Avatar m tn I was diagnosed with ADHD as an adult a few years ago, and started taking concerta to help me focus in college. I stopped taking it for a while, and about a month ago, went back on the concerta. I take 36mg of extended release in the mornings when I have class or homework to do, and it does help me focus. However, since going back on it, I've noticed that I sometimes can't grasp words. Like I know what I'm talking about/trying to say, but I can't place a word with it.
1768088 tn?1409087815 Started treating right before she turned 5. She has been on Concerta since she was 5. Started at 18 mg and ever so often had to increase. She's been on 54 mg a day for at least the past 3 years or so. Well lately we noticed It's not working as well as it once was. She also takes Focalin 10 mg in the afternoon when needed. The concerta is wearing off in 5-6 hrs and when she takes the focalin in the pm u can't even tell she's taken anything.
Avatar n tn He was diagnosed with ADHD when he was 5 although we knew it by the time he was 3. He takes Ritalin... 25 mg in the am... 20 mg @ noon and 10 mg after school. The Ritalin has worked VERY WELL at controlling impulsivity and bad behavior. So much so, that his teacher this year asked me why he was on Ritalin. However, it has made him very slow at completing assignments and many other things. He is very bright and makes very good grades.
1756969 tn?1332437163 My Son was on Concerta, the same dosage. From personal observations the medication has different results for different people. There were no real side effects for my son other than 1. He seemed to have lost his personality. With the loss of personality he lost his creativity. He became distant and lethargic.
Avatar f tn my child only takes one 36mg concerta tablets of a morning and lasts all day the recommended dosage is 1mg per kilogram the dosage you have stated there your child must weigh roughly 72kilograms???????? whick i doubt. that dosage worries me. Its not a easy road.
Avatar n tn A good 5 years ago, I began taking adderall, deciding it would be most effective in treating my tendency towards distraction (According to the doctor, there is no hyperactivity). My dosage is currently 90 mg, and has been such for approximately 1 1/2 years. I am instructed to take 60 mg in the morning, and another 30 in the evening. Regretfully, I haven't exactly been faithful to this dosage lately.
Avatar n tn I just started taking Concerta (36 mg) and I immediately developed shingles. My doctor swears it's a coincidence, but after seeing your post I can't help but wonder. I had chicken pox as a child, but I've never had shingles before now. What happened in your case? I went to the doctor today and got neurontin and valtrex, but the doctor told me to keep taking the Concerta. I don't know what to do.
Avatar m tn Hi I am so sorry to post this here because I know it is for children, but please forgive me because I need help. I think I was incorrectly diagnosed at 44 and have been put on concerta 27 mg almost 3 weeks ago. I have complained from day 1 that I am getting headaches and intense back and shoulder pain. I went and was cleared off all heart related problems so I guess its all muscular. Anyway I have just 2 days ago was switched to the 18 mg because of all the complaints.
Avatar f tn If he is getting mad at his sister under Cocerta and was not before Concerta, maybe the dosage is too high. Talk to his doctor about decreasing it or changing to another medicine such as Metadate CD.
Avatar n tn I've been taking 18 mg of concerta for 16 years and it's been a great help to me! (I briefly tried another time released stimulant and it didn't work for me.) Going on and off it can be very distruptive though-- it is best to stay consistent with it. When I'm going back on it after a break, I tend to lose my appetite and have more trouble sleeping. I recommend taking it after breakfast at the same time every morning...
Avatar n tn My 11 year old son is currently taking Dexadrine. He has slowly increased to 20 mg in the morning. His teacher and myself (my son too) have noticed a postitive change in his work output at school and during homework sessions. Two of the side effects are of great concern to me. My son can't sleep until well after 10:30 pm. (we are trying Melatonin, but haven't found the right dosage). The other side effect that is most troubling is the loss of appetite.
Avatar f tn I have a 5 year old daughter who has recently been "kicked out" of pre-school for aggression. My husband & I have taken her to therapy and we are now trying medication (Concerta 36mg). Nothing seems to be working and the aggression is worsening. I love my baby girl and it is breaking my heart to see her so unhappy all the time. We are doing everything that is recommended in therapy (behavior charts, ect) and still no progress.
Avatar f tn After trying a few medications, his doctor chose Concerta as his daily medicine. It seemed to help a little with his so called "hyper" behavior. However, the doctor has increased the dosage a few times and my son is now taking 54mg.

284002 tn?1244547555 In fact, a long-time friend suggests that I was misdiagnosed with Bi-Polar. Currently, I take 1000 mg. Depakote, 150 mg. Lamictal, and 30 mg. of Vyanse. The Vyanse was substituted for Adderral because I was looking for something better and maybe less side effects, not that I had negative side effects but I had some sleep issues with Adderall now corrected. I also learned from this forum that a person felt Adderall made them feel like they were on Meth.
Avatar m tn Ok thanks for ur help I'm just confused I'm not taking any more concerta took two 27 mg and day a part just wondering if that amount will still show up in a hair analyst
