Avatar f tn Problems such as yeast infections usually actually begin in the stomach. It is an upset of bacteria in the body. It occurs after antibiotic use, among other things. When the level of good bacteria in the body has been lowered, fungus is left to overgrow, unchecked by the bacteria which would normally fight it. Nystatin is good. It is an anti-fungal mouth rinse. Swish it in your mouth for 30 seconds and then swallow. Missy is right, eat lots of yogurt.

Avatar f tn When it overproduces, the typical candida symptoms may appear. In the digestive tract, left unchecked, it breaks down the walls of the intestinal lining and penetrates into the bloodstream. This releases by-product toxins and other toxins from your system, causing leaky gut syndrome. When you body’s natural pH balance is upset, the candida can grow out of control, creating a systemic problem.

6014380 tn?1378523315 If you are having chronic yeast infections you may want to try some things at home that may be the cause of reoccurring yeast infections. First of all, make sure you are not were clothes that cause yeast infections such as tight fitting clothing such as skinny jeans or tight fitting pants. It's important that your vagina to have adequate air flow bc tight fitting pants can cause the airflow to be low and with the riding of temp to your vaginal area is a breathing ground for yeast infections.

Avatar m tn Further, localized yeast or other fungal infections -- of the penis or anywhere else -- are not a sign of HIV. Such things occur all the time in perfectly healthy people. Your other symptoms (sore throat, runny nose, etc) almost certainly are exactly what they sound like: you caught a cold. And you had a negative HIV test. I can't tell exactly how long after the new sexual contact you were tested, but Lizzie Lou (on the HIV community forum) calculated it as about a month.
