I was just wondering because I live in a apartment building were the neighbor about me tells the landlord all the time that im smokeing below him every day. I am not at anytime. I beleive he is suffering from the same problem as many others on here but doesnt know it. I would like to have all the information possible for the next time I speak with my landlord so I can inform her of this condition and that it might be to blame.
If the landlord has not fixed the problem and you have had to pay for an air quality test to prove it, the attorney should be able to get you out of your lease, get his fees from the landlord, and get the cost of the testing from the landlord as well. Tell the landlord that is would be a lot cheaper just to let you out of the lease than to have to cough up all of that.

sometimes enough gas can collect in a house to blow it up. If your landlord is slow about all this, by golly give him your notice and go live in an apartment complex for a while, even if you have to break the lease. If the fee to do that is high, take the landlord to small claims court, but make sure you have a couple friends go in the house the way it is now so they can back up your claim that the house stinks.
Even if he wasn't there for moral support you should be allowed to have your boyfriend over for a couple nights. Your landlord is saying you can't have your boyfriend sleep over for sexy time or if you need a friend? That's ridiculous.
I wish people stop complaining about what questions other people post... Either read it or don't! answer it or don't! I know this may seem hypocritical cuz i am doing the same thing right more but whatever! Don't read mine either!

You'd need to stay somewhere else. Latex paint is FINE but primer is oil-based and is highly toxic. Not to mention sanding releases toxins into the air. If the building is older it could also release lead into the air (BIG NO-NO for a baby's developing brain!!!).
Its so funny how you get pregnant, but it doesn't seem like your the one who's pregnant....your other half has all the symptoms. No confront him first and then if it doesn't stop you can call the landlord and then the law. Show him that you are pissed.
I know its hard to part from your pet, I could never leave my cat with anyone for a long period of time, but if you wanted to move in with your boyfriend, try finding like a boarding house or something similar for your dog near your boyfriend's place so you could still see your dog as much as you'd like to.
in ohio you can go to your local court house, explain the situation, put your money in escrow at the courthouse. And until the landlord fixes the issues she will not have her money released to her, and she cannot evict you. I had to do this once because I moved into a place and a week later the floor fell through in my utility room. My landlord said it was my problem! I took the legal route and he was forced to fix it.
I just found out my landlord had painted my bathtub which my children use and now my daughter has a uti and my sons respitory problems have worsened could this be due to the paint she used..
That's not really the way it works. Your landlord legally has to give you x amt of notice if they're evicting you. When you go to court, a judge would probably be sympathetic to the fact that you're pregnant and not allow them to evict you. I don't understand what they're trying to evict you for though.
