complaining

Avatar n tn From starting the school, I got several calls from his teacher complaining about his emotional control and behavior issue. Teacher stated that he often tantrums (crying and running away) when he did not get his own way. She was afraid this kind of behavior will impact on his ability of learning and friendship developing. However, I do not receive the same complaint from other activities (preschool, after school, chinese school and karate) he participates.
Avatar n tn Several weeks ago I started noticing that I was spelling words incorrectly, having some difficulty writting on paper (a pause or delay before I start to write), and hitting the wrong keys on the key board. I have been complaining about vocabulary loss for several years, and feel that it has become worse, and my memory has become terrible, I have also had some subtle balance problems.

Avatar n tn His English is slightly unsure. I am an ESL expert. He says retina problem. Thought he could mean RP.
Avatar n tn His Kindergarten teacher did not think he needs ESL at the beginning, but finally she equested ESL for him. However, by the end of Kindergarten, ESL teacher told me that she does not think he needs ESL becasue his English is fluent so I guess they exit him from the ESL program this year. The teacher mentioned that he only refused to do his work at 11:30am which he may be hungry or tired. This year they have 9 classes for 1st grade so school separates 1st grade into 2 lunch groups.

Avatar f tn the pain gets almost unimaginable when I sit for say more than 30 minutes which I do alot since I am an ESL teacher and have to sit for sometimes 2 hours to teach a class. The pain sometimes lessens after standing and walking for about 20 minutes and other times it takes hours for the pain to stop. A little more info to help anyone who might want to help me out.. I am 41, 5'4'' and overweight at 222lbs.
Avatar m tn to the point that I would confuse them mid sentence. Had to go through an ESL program at 2nd grade to unlearn most Spanish words I knew (I have no memory of Spanish now, even if people spoke in front of me). Might have something to do with it, so just wanted to throw that in as well...
Avatar n tn Thank you for the explanation (I feel like I'm studying for a vocab test here). Would this be the reason your body can be "listing" to one side? I have a problem with that when negotiating obstacles, turning corners, and going through doorways. I haven't actually started bouncing off them yet, but at my current practice rate methinks my days are numbered there...Ha.
Avatar n tn First of all, about language- it is best for the child to continue speaking the native language at home. I am a certified ESL teacher and that is what we are taught and encouraged to tell families. Children need to learn a language fully and it is best that it is the language that the family speaks. The skills acquired in the native language transfer easily to the second language (English).
Avatar f tn I would go to l d sounds like your water and they can do a paper test to confirm
Avatar n tn I can say my daughters behavior was pretty good until I became pregnant with her twin brothers who are now 21 months. Now she wont listen part of the time, she on occasion picks on her brothers. When I scold her for misbehaving she talks back and makes an angry face. In the last week, in addition to this she has been hitting herself when she doesn't get her way or when we reprimand her for misbehaving. She never did this before.
Avatar n tn Also he tends to get dark under the eyes and has started complaining about his stomach hurting at times does that have something to do with his diabetes?
1218873 tn?1300091216 I feel I am useless at conveying my symptoms as I do not have the the vocabulary to make myself understood. I also find, I do not think fast enough on the spot! or I think thing but don't say them, why I don't know I'm just rubbish at this situation. Can anyone help me get over this? & fast!
Avatar n tn Also not a radiologist, but it seems like you have lesions in at least two areas of the brain (peri-ventricular and sub-cortical -- that's where mine are located too). Also, not sure about the vocabulary, so not sure if "area of enhancement" means "enhancing lesion" -- but if it did, that would mean a lesion that was presently active. Do you have recent onset of a new symptom? The vocabulary is different from my MRI so I'm not sure.
