541196 tn?1293552936 t feel a great connection with my first endocrinologist and I found another one in the area that is very friendly and thorough. She ordered lots of blood work and a thyroid sonogram. The blood work came back indicating I needed to have a MRI of pituitary gland with and without contrast, but she wanted me to check with insurance on it first. My insurance only covers it if the $2000 deductible has been met first!!!!
Avatar f tn I wish people stop complaining about what questions other people post... Either read it or don't! answer it or don't! I know this may seem hypocritical cuz i am doing the same thing right more but whatever! Don't read mine either!
Avatar n tn I just got a test result and I'd like to see if anyone can tell what test was used to get this, and how reliable this test might be. I was tested positive for HSV-1 in the US before but when I got tested in Japan I tested positive for both HSV-1 and HSV-2.
Avatar m tn Good news In case you have not heard Bristol Myers is filing in japan for first oral treatment for genotype one . We are not in Japan but still good news as I think Gilead and Abbvie will push harder to release there products faster , big companies and money talks . Also this is good I think because if it was only Gilead in this race , the price of the there treatment would be extremely expensive as Gilead are well known to be very expensive .
Avatar n tn I can't thank you enough for your quick responses. It seems that all variables taken into account there is actually a very real and moderately high chance of getting herpes in this sort of encounter. I really don't know how to handle this. People say the odds are in my favor but I just don't see how. It seems like there are several people that frequent prostitutes and don't get STD's but I just don't know, especially here in Japan where there are so many sailors etc.
Avatar m tn You not answer my question, the test happens in philippines not in japan. It just so happen the person is bound to work in japan but got tested in philippines for pre-departure medical test.
Avatar f tn I was frequently complaining about how blurry my vision had become and how it remained blurry far after the redness went away. I moved to Japan in late August and my vision is STILL very blurry in that eye, arguably getting worse, but I could just be paranoid. Right before I left, seriously the day before I left I went to an optometrist urgent care, they did a bunch of tests, checked my eye pressure and everything and she said nothing was wrong and I just left.
163305 tn?1333668571 No injuries or damages were reported. Tornadoes are relatively rare in Japan and the agency has issued further warnings of strong winds, lightning and tornadoes. http://news.yahoo.com/video/raw-2-rare-tornados-strike-150221681.
Avatar m tn Interesting post, thanks for sharing what attracted my attention is that some patients cleared by 12 months so i think more important is hbsag deceease than to clear in 6 months which in case of not clearing is not definitive that you become chronic.
Avatar f tn It's October 2nd, it's still in the 100's here, and it doesn't show any signs of cooling down any time soon. I'm 28 weeks today. My friend and I took our kids to the pumpkin patch today and it was so hot. I was huffing and puffing and sweating more than a man and then I started to swell in my hands and feet. I'm soooo uncomfortable. I just want it to cool down. Anyone else in this position?
427279 tn?1210919821 My furkid has discovered, aftter living with us for the last year and a ahlf, that his favourite spot in the house, when he's not eating or sleeping, is the bathtub. He's become quite attached to it. LOL There are little muddy kitty prints in there, now, 'cause last time he was in there was right after coming in this morning with dirty feet, right after I'd had a shower.

Avatar n tn I've been dilated at a 6 since last Monday and baby is at station +1. Docs said they thought I would be back within 2 days to deliver because she is so low, and because I'm dilated so far. I wish she would come already! I had to stop working because they thought I wouldn't make it to the hospital in time to deliver...but LO is staying put. I'm burning up all my sick time and I feel just fine...it sounds crazy, but I wish I could go back to work until she arrives...
Avatar m tn Now I am in Japan and because of all of the above I want and need to take a P24 antigen test at the 30 day mark (just over 1 week from now). I can find antibody tests everywhere in Japan, but have not been able to locate a single, clinic or hospital that will do the P24, duo, or 4th gen tests. My question is can anyone help me locate a clinic in the Tokyo, Kyoto, or Nagoya areas that will provide this service. For my Sanity. (please provide phone number and address of place if possible).
Avatar f tn So since I found out I was pregnant I've been looking on craigslist and eBay to help me find used baby things to buy for the baby, we're on a budget but I want to be able to get my baby what he needs without depending on other people and ever since I started doing that my bf has been complaining.

1549562 tn?1304004489 All those in Japan, Hawaii, California and all the other places effected by this are in my prayers! Unfoutionally the way the plates are in the ocean we have to have these awful earthquakes, if we didnt even worse destruction would occur. Japan is in the ring of fire where they are so use to having earthquakes of course nothing this massive but thats where 90% of earthquakes occur. My prayers are with everyone and I hope us as a nation can help by sending our prayers to all those affected!
684676 tn?1503186663 Even the conservative CATO Institute loves Japan *Even the conservative CATO institute loves Japan How does it work in Japan? In the strictest terminology, Japan does not employ a single-payer healthcare system. In fact, Japan has a multi-payer system where the citizens, employers, and the Japanese government all share the costs of healthcare. Private insurance companies are alive and do very well in Japan.
