Common Questions and Answers about Colonoscopy yoga

Avatar m tn You should have a colonoscopy and find out. You may have an oddly configured colon or a spasm problem or a twist. Maybe your flora is out of balance and a probiotic would help. Try doing yoga exercises to help expel it.
Avatar f tn I have almost exactly the same symptoms and test indications that you have. A colonoscopy and many, many blood tests, stool samples, etc have all been inconclusive, so I've been diagnosed with IBS. I found a website that helped quite a bit (www.helpforibs.com), but I had to modify the advice from this website slightly (through trial and error) in order to best control my symptoms.
Avatar n tn Hm, honestly surprised loose stools would warrant a colonoscopy. That's not really that common to have for this type of issue that I'm aware of. But I do want to tell you about the newest and easiest thing to do which is cologuard. It's an easy way to get results that are similar to a colonoscopy. You get the kit at home, put the lining in your toilet and go. Pull the lining out, put some drops in it and send off to the lab. It's 95% accurate!

Avatar n tn I do basic yoga asana (asana means that it is less cardio more posture and stretching) since the beginning of my pregnancy. I will be 35 weeks on Tuesday and it relieve my minor pains (hips, pelvic, lower back, buttocks and thighs). It also help to have a good posture and strengthen your core muscles for birth and baby position. It is great to take that time for you to relax. Sincerely, yoga is a revelation for me.
Avatar f tn Thanks! Do you all take regular yoga or prenatal ? I already joined a gym and they have yoga classes a few days a week but not prenatal yoga.

1415478 tn?1281998008 Hi There, I was diagnosed with IBS-C(constipation predominant) over a year ago (after 20-30 different tests and bottom and top colonoscopy to confirm the diagnose as i didn't believe my doctor) i had also shortness of breath due to not passing stool for 1-2 days, headaches, stomach discomfort, lower back pain (all of this were worsening by stress and anxiety as I was thinking something was very wrong) After colonoscopy I relaxed and most of the symptoms reduced or disappear .
Avatar n tn I have been dealing with stomach issues since I was 18 so my entire adult life... I got my first colonoscopy when I was 18 it came up as negative for all major diseases and my first Gastro doctor just suggested it was IBS and that was that... I continued to have problems getting diarrhea generally very quickly after I ate. It was and has always been a fairly random thing... I can have chicken one night feel great then the next have severe diarrhea.
Avatar m tn m anemic, which is unusual because I have a Mirena IUD and no longer have a period) and did a colonoscopy and upper endoscopy. All of that was normal. I'm scheduled for follow up bloodwork soon. I'm still having constipation and lower right abdominal pain. They are all assuming I have IBS, but the drugs for IBS do not relieve the pain at all. I always associated IBS with cramping type pain; this is not like that. It also gets worse after intercourse.
Avatar f tn I posted on another board about GI problems and my concern with colon cancer. I fit the symptoms of IBS, but wonder how you can tell the difference between IBS and colon cancer since the symptoms are so similar? I am a 47 year old female with no significant health problems other than these ongoing GI issues which have been going on for about three months. It seemed to start after a bad stomach bug that I had that never truly went away.
Avatar f tn Having my third colonscopy. I had one eight years ago and I cannot remember feeling so nervous. I had a polyp the first time and it was benign. The second colonoscopy was fine. I'm having a difficult time with feeling hungry and waiting to take the prep this afternoon. I've already started having diaherra because of my nerves. Guess I need to unload and find support on here. Looking forward to hearing from anyone.
Avatar n tn I recently underwent my first baseline colonoscopy. I was lightly sedated, but apparently I was a bit resistant to the scope entering any further than the first few inches of my rectum. It was reported that this was sufficient to determine all was well and it was also recommended I come back again in approximately five years. Do I just need to have more sedation next time or could I have a stenosis that caused me to subconsciously be resistive and uncomfortable. Should I be concerned?
212161 tn?1599427282 I do not think that you need to be worried about this at all. So go ahead and schedule your colonoscopy. Good luck.
212161 tn?1599427282 how many have had a colonoscopy and was it bad, the prep i ok with the putting to sleep i not like
568565 tn?1216785185 I am 37 yrs old. No history of colon cancer in the fam... However, recently one of my employee's husband went on a routine check up. They said since he is 47 he should have a colonoscopy... When he was done with that, he is now doing radiation and chemo... He has full blown cancer all over his pelvis... My gp advised with no history in my family, I am good to wait until I am 50 but if I did have a history of it, she'd recommend that I did it when I was 40...
Avatar n tn I have a half brother that died from colon cancer. My family has a history of polyps, thus I had my first colonoscopy at 37 (2 polyps) then at 46 (2 polyps) All benign thankfully. I've had complete annual physicals for the past 5 years and all good thankfully. I am due for a colonoscopy and am stressing about more polyps. Also have anxiety and that's flaring up because of the colonoscopy. Should I be concerned? Thank you!
Avatar f tn Had a colonoscopy August of 2017, it now being June 2018 with diverticula diagnosis and polyps removed. Problem that I’m having every since the procedure , I awake every morning having pains in my lower intestine more to the the left side . Could something have gone wrong ? I went to the ER at VA hospital were the procedure was done . Cat scan was completed and was told all appeared okay. What could be the cause.
