can colon cancer cause back pain? I have lower back pain , have had skinny riibboned shaped #2. now have to strain and seems less and less is happening!

I am 45 year old male with constipation and mild right side abdominal pain, i also have experieinced pretty significant lower right side back pain but recently have moved so i do not know if the back pain and constipation are related. I had a colonoscopy 2 years ago after a postive FOB test and only one small polyp was found that was benign. My appetite is good and other than the change in boewl habits during the last few weeks i have no other symptoms that could be considered colon cancer like.

In the following days when I was back at home I found myself having to deal with large amounts of mucus continually being discharged from my rectum. I am aware that with the large colon still intact the colon naturally produces a small amount of mucus, just as it did for the first 18 months after I was originally given the illeostomy. However this time the mucus levels were un-manageable, over ten times more in volume.

I'm having pain down the right side of my body in what seems like the whole of the ascending colon. It's hard to explain, there's also a pulse like pain that starts around my hip bone or the end of the ascending colon that travels up the ascending colon. I'm very uncomfortable after a meal and I can feel a little relief after I been to the toilet.

Im 54 year old male with severe back pain, I've had fusion done on L2 thru L4 now my thoracic T6-T7disc herniation which partially effaces the right ventral thecal sac. T7-T8 disc herniation. T9-T10 herniation effaces the ventral thecal sac and subtly indents the right ventral surface of the cord. do you drink at all? Pancrease funtion/liver funtion blood tests ok? That's probably first thing to ask for is liver pancrease tests especially after a gallbladder removal to make sure the sphincter of oddi isn't causing problems. There's also sometimes people get some condition like that after surgery and gb removal. That's one idea... Sharp pains on upper left usually is stomach/pancrase/colon/small intestine..so since you just had gb removal that's one idea..

I have no desire to eat only 1 meal per day and I have been vomitting up the food when I eat it. The pain does not go away. It is a dull pain. I have had my gallbladder out for years. The docto said he was going to run another test.

You have had a coloscopy that is recent and your findings at that time were not such to raise the suspicions of colon cancer then or now with your doctor. Colon cancer is slow growing and that is why screenings are important because it allows it to be caught in treatable stages. The family history you have has already been taken into consideration. I would think a question for the doctor would be if the insurance company was not an issue, would they think you needed a colonoscopy right now?

I am only 19 with only one family member having had colon cancer, a distant one.

i am going to see a Gi dr in a couple of weeks. i had to get on antibiotics because the stomache pains got worse. it went all over my stomache. dr told me i had an infection in my colon. i have to have some tests done tom and i see the Gi dr on the 26 th of this month. it still hurts when i have sex with my husband so we have to try other things,but since im hurting im not always in the mood. it really puts a strain on your marriage. i went back to the gyn and he changed my hormone meds.
