i get side pain on my right lower hip, right between the pelvic bone and the hip bone. the pain goes back about 2 inches and feels like im being stabbed. its not constant, but every few minutes depending if i move or not. i went to a doctor and he said i had a weak intestinal wall, but he didnt treat it because he wasnt sure how or if he was even right. are there other problems in this area? he ruled out ovaries and apendix.
I've been having pain and discomfort in my lower right abdomen and colon area. There has been some feeling of pressure and some sharp pain as well as some dull and a few times prickly pain. It is increased when I have gas bubbles passing through that area. I'll get the pain and then alittle while later, I emit the gas bubble externally. The other times I get the pain is when I'm stressed, believe it or not.
A few days ago I noticed that I had blood in stool for a couple of days then I started having a dull ache in my lower right side and the pain is now in my lower back. I've also been dizzy/lightheaded and just over all feeling like crap! Any suggestions on what this might be. I am going to doc first of the week!

I also went to the OBGYN and he confirmed a 4x4 cm fibroid on the right side of the uterus (size of a lime. I have had constant pain (almost every day) in the lower left area since the acute flare up (mostly dull but occasionally sharp) and I battle constipation. The OBGYN is convinced the pain is due to the fibroid pushing on my colon and wants to remove my uterus (says I don’t need it anyway since I’m past childbearing age!). The gastrointestinal doctor thinks I just have a spastic colon.
I have a bad pain in my right side of my abdomen. I was taking HCG drops. Had a ct scan, xray and ultrasound done yesterday and they dont know what is causing the pain. Its a constant pain, hurts to bend over or touch my stomach. no nausea vomiting, or fever. PLEASE HELP! ***@**** is my e-mail, any help would be appreciated.
ve been having. The pain seems to be behind my lower right ribs. The pain however only becomes present when I stretch out that side of my body or arch my back. The pain is a quick sharp moderate pain that goes away immediately when I retract from the uncomfortable position. If i push in the area on the ribs where the pains comes from their isn't any pain. Also their is no swelling or and bumpy surface above the area of the ribs, and i also don't have any fever.
Such dosages are ineffective for this sort of pain. If the pain is colon pain, an antispasmodic can help with the pain, but the problem with the antispasmodic if the colon is already slow and tends to be constipated already, the antispasmodic can worsen that kind of problem as well, because it will slow the colon down even more.
A hot water bottle may help with the pain--some.
That is where the gallbladder is located, so to be sure, you should get it checked out. Besides gas, it can even be IBS. Usually IBS is felt in the descending colon, but I will get that same pain on the right side below the ribs that you're talking about from time to time. The test for the gallbladder in not a painful or invasive test. I only had to have an ultrasound around that area.
One final question, I am concerned about colon cancer, should I be based on what I have shared with you. I am because of the lower right side pain I have expereinced for 3-4 years now. I assume if colon cancer I would have had a number of other symptoms by now. I worry as I dont think there is much else on the lower right side that would cause the soreness?
A few days ago, I started having a nagging right side pain and by the next day it was so intense I ended up in the ER. They did bloodwork, uralyisis, ultrasound of my gallbladder and ct scan to check for kidney stones. Everything came back normal and now I'm very frustrated. They sent me home with painkillers and told me it could possibly be my gallbladder, to follow up and get a HIDA scan. Now a couple days later, my side doesn't hurt as bad but is sore.
OVER THE PAST YEAR I HAVE HAD 4 OR 5 OCCASSIONS OF BLOODY BOWEL MOVEMENTS JUST ONCE IN AWHILE. NOW OVER THE PAST COUPLE OF MONTHS I HAVE HAD PAIN IN MY LOWER RIGHT SIDE OF THE STOMACH. MY GASTROLOGIST SEEMS TO THINK THE PAIN IS GAS AND THE BLOOD IS ALSO RELATED TO MY GASTRITIS AND DIVITICULITIS. I AM A LITTLE MORE CONCERNED HOWEVER. SHOULD I SEEK A SECOND OPINION OR DISCUSS THESE CONCERNES WITH MY PRIMARY CARE DOCTOR? I FEEL THE PAIN MORE WHEN I EAT.
THe infection settled in the right lower quadrant but I have not had pain in that area for many years. I recently had an abdominoplasty with muscle repair because of incisional discomfort and cosmetic.
Immediately after surgery I had a right lower quadrant pain I could actually pinpoint. The surgeon and I believed it was muscle pain at first. I am 8 weeks out from surgery and if it is gastroenterolgy associated, the plastic surgeon won't have anything to do with it I would assume.
I have recently stopped taking all pain medication and I feel everything. The lower left quadrant pain, upped left quadrant pain, and the upper right quadrant pain from the removal of my gallbladder. I experienced hot flashes and cold chills last night. This morning I had cold chills so bad that I had three blankets on, a hat, hoodie, and winter jacket on inside my house with the thermostat at 73 degrees. It took me over 4 hours to warm up.
