just a question, I was at GNC today and saw a product for colon or gastro cleansing. Has anyone used these, does it work and is it healty?

I am just wondering has anyone tried to do a 7 day, or 14 day rapid cleanse that you buy at a Health Food or GNC type store once you have COMPLETELY stopped taking your opiates? If so, do you think this helps speeds up ridding the body of toxins, and thus feeling better quicker? I have bought one, but not use it yet- and it's suppose to help clean out your liver, organs and colon. Thoughts?

I just wanted the forum toknow that the drug stores like Walgreens and CVS wont have those amino acids they just have vitamin B6. I called GNC and they have that L-Tryosline however you spell it. I used Super Colon Cleanse tablets by Health Plus Inc. It is sold on Amazon, but I got mine at GNC. The bottle says to take 4 tablets twice daily for 10 days. I did not notice any blood today.

This is going to be late for you, but you should never take liver cleansers while taking medication. What you're describing is a combination colon/liver cleanse. Milk thistle and yellowdock, for example, are liver cleansers, and could theoretically wash some of the medication out of our system, as the body sees virtually all medication as toxic.

I think it depends on the type of enema. Using enemas frequently for constipation can cause your rectum to "forget" how to have a bowel movement naturally. Using enemas for "colon cleansing", I believe is not good, because your colon doesn't need any cleansing, it does this itself.

Hi, I may have MS or Fibro or both but my mom has Fibro and Chemical sensitives and does this colon cleansing and swears by it. I am personally thinking no way for me but I am chicken for sure. I just was diagnosed with a tortuous colon after months of agony from constipation and a lifetime of general gastrointestinal issues.
