Avatar m tn Has your doctor suggested any kind of management plan for balancing the elimination of toxins with tx? Your wife should be careful with doing the liver cleansing before she has done the kidney cleanse first. As the build-ups that gets moved on from the liver, quiet often collect in the kidneys...thus..the need for making sure the kidneys become the first objective...least she might pass one problem over to the next, if ya know what I mean? I suspect that your wife is not on tx.?
Avatar f tn A cleansing diet would be rearranging your entire diet, for a short time or forever, to emphasize cleansing toxins out of your colon, liver, and other organs. The reason you read about fasting a lot is that it's the best cleansing diet there is -- you take in no toxins while your body has the opportunity to clean itself out in the meantime. How long to fast is controversial, but when first starting out it's usually recommended to do one day, then move on later to two, etc.
Avatar n tn If colon cleansing was beneficial, why wouldn’t our doctors order them?
451343 tn?1256250831 t take over night to get myself in this position, all though it sometimes feels like it happened over night. just want to feel normal what ever that is. wondering about colon cleansing. i have some colon cleansing formula. wondering if i should wait to take them or what. i just feel like invasion of the body snatchers. i want my body back. i let those damn pills rob my body of sooooooooooo much. feeling a bit like a failure. im sure that will pass.
Avatar f tn I doubt it. For one thing, you'd have to know what exactly caused it to know what had to be leached out of the system. For another, chelation is mostly used for cholesterol or heavy metals, not just anything -- you have to have something that attaches to and leaches out the culprit. Many toxins are leached out in another way, by cleansing the liver, where the toxins are stored, and by cleansing the colon and the blood, for the same reason. This isn't chelation, but cleansing.
425312 tn?1279966179 In my opinion, the whole colon cleansing thing is a scam. Around 5 years ago I had a colonoscopy done. They put you through a three-day fasting/fluid drinking thing before that. But no enemas or other fluid induction. As they were doing the procedure (it is no big deal by the way), I could see my colon on the TV screen. It was as fresh and clean as a . . . well . . . baby's bottom. So I don't take this stuff about stuff accumulating in your colon seriously anymore.
Avatar m tn just a question, I was at GNC today and saw a product for colon or gastro cleansing. Has anyone used these, does it work and is it healty?
Avatar m tn I think it depends on the type of enema. Using enemas frequently for constipation can cause your rectum to "forget" how to have a bowel movement naturally. Using enemas for "colon cleansing", I believe is not good, because your colon doesn't need any cleansing, it does this itself.
5766249 tn?1375776295 Some foods meet the requirement but not all. Fiber rich foods like apples, African mango are both weight and colon issues. As already discussed above fiber foods help a lot. Also, the pro-biotic foods, broccoli, sweet potatoes, tuna and fruits like banana, oranges, pear can be much useful to tackle and solve the colon problems.
1454383 tn?1288947277 If this is the Natural Clean I'm thinking of, it's for cleaning drugs out of your system to pass a drug test, not a colon cleanser. Maximum burn is a scam -- acai berry is, like all berries, high in antioxidants, but it won't help you lose weight. Real colon cleansers are based on fiber such as psyllium and some have laxatives in them, which aren't healthy, such as diet teas.
Avatar f tn Once a person’s intestinal lining is riddled with microscopic holes, he or she can develop allergies to a variety of foods. This is especially true of everyday foods. Of course some products are more likely to cause allergies than others. At the top of the list are: cow’s milk, soy products, peanuts, corn, cheese, coffee and chocolate.
1802488 tn?1315956683 I included a picture of the toxins in my profile just click it and you will see it is not risidual stool. I know I refer to it as toxins but I have no idea what it is. Maybe they are skin cells but why so much so often? It appear like i threw a pound of mud in the bath. I see a brownish orangish film on the water (like oil) prior to it accumulatng on the rim of the tub. It happens day after day sometime more and sometimes less. I had a stool sample taken with no problems and no IBS.
Avatar f tn If so, do you think this helps speeds up ridding the body of toxins, and thus feeling better quicker? I have bought one, but not use it yet- and it's suppose to help clean out your liver, organs and colon. Thoughts?
Avatar n tn I'm posting in this forum because people here should have experience with cleansing eliminating substances from the body. Long story short, I took very high doses of an Omega-3 supplement for aout 3 years and it ended up lowering my cortisol levels to a point were my health got negatively impacted (sleeping problems, diminished apetite, diminished libido). When I realized that I was doing harm by taking this in high quantities I cut off consumption about a year ago.
Avatar f tn s little evidence that detox diets actually remove toxins from the body. Most ingested toxins are efficiently and effectively removed by the kidneys and liver and excreted in urine and stool. It's also important to consider possible side effects.
Avatar m tn Candida overgrowth can cause low vit. D. My husband, myself and my 23 yr old son have low vit. D and it was discovered that we also suffer with this fungal infection in the colon. When you have this condition you can suffer with low vit. D levels along with many other vitamins deficiencies. When my son was in 9th grade we discovered he had developed scoliosis. We connected it to his low vit. D levels. He was always more fatigued and slightly over weight then other kids his age.
Avatar f tn This is going to be late for you, but you should never take liver cleansers while taking medication. What you're describing is a combination colon/liver cleanse. Milk thistle and yellowdock, for example, are liver cleansers, and could theoretically wash some of the medication out of our system, as the body sees virtually all medication as toxic.
Avatar f tn After much investigation, I found that the odor comes from his liver not functioning properly and not cleansing the toxins from his body; instead they come thru his pores. It is a disgusting odor and has inundated our home (furniture, clothing, etc.). Does anyone have a solution to get rid of the odor. He is seeing a doctor and has not had a drink in two months.
