colon cleansing dr oz

just a question, I was at GNC today and saw a product for colon or gastro cleansing. Has anyone used these, does it work and is it healty?

If colon cleansing was beneficial, why wouldn’t our doctors order them?

A cleansing diet would be rearranging your entire diet, for a short time or forever, to emphasize cleansing toxins out of your colon, liver, and other organs. The reason you read about fasting a lot is that it's the best cleansing diet there is -- you take in no toxins while your body has the opportunity to clean itself out in the meantime. How long to fast is controversial, but when first starting out it's usually recommended to do one day, then move on later to two, etc.

Has anyone ever tried Dr. Natura's Colonix Program? There are so many detox programs out there. I'm not sure which one actually works. I have contstant bloating and my bowel movements are 0-1x a day. Thanks!

okay ya'll, i know some folks don't like to talk about cleaning you colon out, but i'm on to something. so please just read me out. about three weeks ago i was ready to give up on my life, after all i had everything i needed to complete this task right at my finger tips. and decided that i would deal with killing myself, later on. it wasn't about the husband, kids, family or friends (uk2, chrisneedshelp, brandy, cruls, platgirl, softbaygurl, etc.

Not a question but I wanted to let this group know about the Dr. Oz Show about when is too old to have a baby. It airs next Fri. 1/27/12 and our very own 1biologist is a guest. It was a very interesting show and there were alot of things brought up about over 40 women TTC especially. Of course all of us TTC over 40 have researched it to death, it is still a good show. It discusses the pros and cons as well as the risks.

I think we should start a movement to get this condition on Dr. Oz since his show is all about medical/health issues.

This is going to be late for you, but you should never take liver cleansers while taking medication. What you're describing is a combination colon/liver cleanse. Milk thistle and yellowdock, for example, are liver cleansers, and could theoretically wash some of the medication out of our system, as the body sees virtually all medication as toxic.

Has anyone tried the ACIA / COLON cleansing pills, drink whatever.... they say the fat just comes right off?!?! Comeon now... Does that really work, im trying to get opinons before i try it!!!

t take over night to get myself in this position, all though it sometimes feels like it happened over night. just want to feel normal what ever that is. wondering about colon cleansing. i have some colon cleansing formula. wondering if i should wait to take them or what. i just feel like invasion of the body snatchers. i want my body back. i let those damn pills rob my body of sooooooooooo much. feeling a bit like a failure. im sure that will pass.

I think it depends on the type of enema. Using enemas frequently for constipation can cause your rectum to "forget" how to have a bowel movement naturally. Using enemas for "colon cleansing", I believe is not good, because your colon doesn't need any cleansing, it does this itself.

I have made many comments about the same issue. I noticed the mucous during cleansing. At first dark, but now tissuey after doing a lot of cleansing and colinics. I hope you can find some of the posts made on similar questions. Under the ribcage is generally gallbladder blockage to the bile duct and liver toxins - I've been going through this for 5 years - took a long time to figure out the problem.

Make an appointment with a gastroenterologist. It is costly if you don't have an insurance, regardless of age, if you are in doubt, consult with the Gas.. to have a colon scan.
