Avatar f tn A cleansing diet is different from taking a supplement, which is what you're doing by drinking apple cider vinegar. People have claimed all kinds of benefits from organic apple cider vinegar with the mother included in the product; the ultimate believer that this cured everything is Dr. Bragg, who probably isn't actually a doctor, but who knows? It does do some great things for people, and harmful things to others; it depends on how people react to acidity.

Avatar m tn Here are some tips to prevent the recurrence of jaundice, ◾Ensure that your diet is high in fiber and low in fats. Include fresh fruits and vegetables in your diet. Cheese, butter, oily and fatty food should be consumed in moderation. Spicy food should be eaten occasionally. ◾Yoghurt aids in the growth of ‘healthy bacteria’ in the colon. These healthy bacteria result in production of Vitamin K, which is essential for a healthy liver.

1454383 tn?1288947277 If this is the Natural Clean I'm thinking of, it's for cleaning drugs out of your system to pass a drug test, not a colon cleanser. Maximum burn is a scam -- acai berry is, like all berries, high in antioxidants, but it won't help you lose weight. Real colon cleansers are based on fiber such as psyllium and some have laxatives in them, which aren't healthy, such as diet teas.
Avatar m tn I am scheduled for another treatment but I would like to know if this is accepted by the medical field as a safe and effective method of colon cleansing. Or some comments from others who have been through this before. Please respond.
Avatar f tn If you dont call your dr and pick up a stool test and hve it examined by a pathologist. Your body is cleansing itself, it sheds the lining of your colon and thats a good thing. Better out than in.

Avatar m tn Even if your colon moves slowly, you can re-educate your bowel. 1) Physical therapy You need to educate your colon to start moving faster again. Physical therapy is more effective than any laxatives on the market but it takes time and patience. Find someone who specializes in pelvic floor dysfunction. It could really help you. 2) STOP taking laxatives The more laxatives you take, the more it makes your colon lazy.
1201433 tn?1328997637 The best treatment for a tortuous colon is to reduce the stress on the colon. This can be done by introducing more fiber to the diet. Lack of adequate oral fluids and irregular diet (decreased bulk), can further aggravate the problem. I would advise you to develop a lifestyle to fight constipation. Drink plenty of water. Regular meals with high fiber content like green leafy vegetables, plenty of fruits, lots of oral fluids and exercise will help relieve constipation.

Avatar f tn I had my colon removed 4 weeks ago and I still feel weak and don't feel like eating. I have more bowel movements than I can count. The problem I have is I am supposed to go to work next week and I don't know how I am supposed to work when I have to run to the bathroom all the time. Any suggestions on what I can do.
Avatar n tn The liquid food in your intestines is pushed through your system right to the ascending colon and past your constipated descending colon out your hinder. Then I hear that you face a bout with constipation= what I'm saying is maybe it's the constipation that's causing the diarrhea, your system is sending water and contractions to force the undigested meats and fats as well as dried feces stuck to your descending colon wall out, in order to make room for incoming nutrients.
Avatar m tn Make an appointment with a gastroenterologist. It is costly if you don't have an insurance, regardless of age, if you are in doubt, consult with the Gas.. to have a colon scan. It takes a day of cleansing and a day of check up. Don't wait till too late. Colonsnocopy is suggested to the over 50 but no longer truth. You may develop a polyp in your 20s 30s 40s as well. Check if in doubt. When you see blool in your stool, act quickly. Polyp if not taken care, will turn bad.

29837 tn?1414534648 Checked out from the library this book "Liver Cleansing Diet", by Dr. Sandra Cabot. I think it's worth reading as many of the things she writes about are beneficial to cleansing the liver. Makes sense to me because she's not trying to sell anything, but rather giving good, worthy advice on taking care of your liver. She writes about eating right, the specific fat free diet, supplements and so on... So there it is...
Avatar n tn The best way of adding fiber to the diet is increasing the quantity of fruits and vegetables that are eaten. This means a minimum of five servings of fruits or vegetables every day. For many people, however, the amount of fruits and vegetables that are necessary may be inconveniently large or may not provide adequate relief from constipation. In this case, fiber supplements can be useful. Fiber is defined as material made by plants that is not digested by the human gastrointestinal tract.
