Avatar f tn regular doctor I had an ultra sound, looked at water retention, gasritis and thyroid. I went to a Naturalpathic doctor...looked at digestion, probiotics, acid reflux, colon cleansing etc.... Lastly I had a stool test for everything (such as allergies, parasites, etc...) everything looked good except found I had H Pylori. treated it. STILL HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM! What the heck is wrong with me? (and dont tell me IBS.
Avatar m tn just a question, I was at GNC today and saw a product for colon or gastro cleansing. Has anyone used these, does it work and is it healty?
Avatar f tn I would make an appointment with a good naturopath and they will lead you in the right direction. Colon cleansing is great, but it needs to be done correctly and most MD's just don't understand the procedure, etc.
Avatar n tn No scientific evidence supports the alleged benefits of colon cleansing. The bowel itself is not dirty and barring drugs or disease, cleans itself naturally without need for assistance. Some types of colon cleansing present potential hazards also. I would suggest a gastroenterologist’s consultation and getting evaluated for different possibilities.Various other causes that need to be ruled out are over-use of stimulant laxatives (e.g.
Avatar m tn I think it depends on the type of enema. Using enemas frequently for constipation can cause your rectum to "forget" how to have a bowel movement naturally. Using enemas for "colon cleansing", I believe is not good, because your colon doesn't need any cleansing, it does this itself.
Avatar f tn A cleansing diet would be rearranging your entire diet, for a short time or forever, to emphasize cleansing toxins out of your colon, liver, and other organs. The reason you read about fasting a lot is that it's the best cleansing diet there is -- you take in no toxins while your body has the opportunity to clean itself out in the meantime. How long to fast is controversial, but when first starting out it's usually recommended to do one day, then move on later to two, etc.
10948614 tn?1414173719 I have no symptoms except for extreme fatigue and water retention and some slight swelling on my outer ankle bone. I found out I am gluten intolerant so that means damage and inflammation for the last 45 years but I am gluten-free and almost grain free now. I drink a lot and pee a lot so it is almost like my body is somehow intolerant to water or leaking it through my intestines? Diuretics have never worked and I have no signs of kidney disease.
1454383 tn?1288947277 I am starting a colon cleaning diet with maximum burn and natural clean, because I had seen online at the CNN website that it really works fast. The products are cheep to buy as a trial and this is my second day on the pills. I only want to clean out my body and loose a bit of the belly flab, is this diet as safe and simple as I had heard? Has anyone on Medhelp ever tried the diet before?
403399 tn?1201833095 AFTER you've gotten through the withdrawals, drive to GNC and purchase the Cleansing Formula.. it has NO laxative in it, completely safe, doesn't cause diarrhea, and it cleanses the liver, kidneys, and safely the colon as well.. I've been taking it for over a year now.. you use it for daily maintenance.. I've never felt better in my entire life! I started taking it over a year ago because my liver and kidneys were hurting and acting up because of the long term Tramadol usage..
Avatar f tn This is going to be late for you, but you should never take liver cleansers while taking medication. What you're describing is a combination colon/liver cleanse. Milk thistle and yellowdock, for example, are liver cleansers, and could theoretically wash some of the medication out of our system, as the body sees virtually all medication as toxic.
Avatar f tn But last week they removed catheter and I had urinary retention with frequent urination . They reinserted the catheter for two more days and again they removed it but the problem of urinary retention persist with frequent urination in every 15 min. Now they have again inserted catheter and will remove it after one week. Pl tell me if the problem will resolve or not.
Avatar f tn Simplest cleanse is fasting, but cleansing what? There are liver cleanses, colon cleanses, kidney cleanses -- they can be very good for health, but not very useful for losing weight in a healthy fashion because the weight will just come back as soon as you return to your normal way of eating.
Avatar n tn ) Take care, and I can sympathize with you.
1378071 tn?1313420821 Has anyone tried the ACIA / COLON cleansing pills, drink whatever.... they say the fat just comes right off?!?! Comeon now... Does that really work, im trying to get opinons before i try it!!!
Avatar f tn Well, then, some people swear by cleansing and fasting and that sort of thing, clearing out the digestive tract. If you are miserable with your digestion, I can see no harm in giving something like that a shot! Also, I had three docs looking at me when I had IBS, no one knew what it was, and it as ME who figured it out, so I applaud your research into your condition, could be you'll figure it out like I did.

793305 tn?1493925518 s up with the major water retention? Any ideas out there? Other than waking up 5 times tonight to go to the bathroom? My ankles are starting to look like oranges. Not that they were all that shapely to start with. : ) But they're starting to feel a bit tight. Any ideas? I think I'll start with some green tea.
Avatar f tn I'm pregnant and retain water like crazy too....but the more water you drink, the less you retain I been told by numerous doctors.....
Avatar n tn If he finds himself thristy a lot of the time, he could suck on crushed ice. It seems to work better than plain water for quenching thirst. and it takes a lot less to get the job done. If he drinks alcohol, he needs to quit. If he smokes, again he needs to quit. If he has excess weight, he needs to lose it. If he is sedentary, he needs to get up and move as much as he possibly can, but never to the point of not being able to catch his breath, or carry on a conversation.
Avatar n tn I do watch my sodium intake, I drink a lot of water, eat healthy and exercise 5x/wk 45--75 min. I have my yearly eco scheduled the end of this month and will discuss it then, but would appreciate any feedback and comments.
1563109 tn?1295585149 Is water retention normal after Transflap,& hernia surgery? What does Lymphodemia act like? Some days it is worse. but my Arm feels like a log, I am told it is Arthritis in my fingers affecting the arm.? not from the surgery.
