The problem with using products that do a colon cleanse is that they are filled with laxatives, yes most of them have natural elements, but laxatives none the less. I think it's important for your mom to know how healthy her liver is before attempting any cleanses. I've tried a colon cleanse with no problems in the past, but liver cleanses tend to be less gentle...and if her liver is challenged, she may more run into problems.
My personal opinion is to stay away from any product that has a long list of ingredients unless you have the time to look up each one. In the case of liver health, more is NOT better.

After doing a colon cleanse I developed back pain it's more like a frying feeling right where the sigmoid colon is located. If I don't take a cleanse pill I get constipated now and when I use the pill I get this feeling of frying in my back. Now I feel like my insides ovaries and uterus is going to fall out. I have a history of ovarian cyst the simple cyst I get them all the time the bust and cause this frying feeling to but in lower stomach.

Most of the colon cleanse products contain some form of senna or other product that is a anthraquinone-like compound. Anthraquinone is a stimulant laxative which works by irritating the lining of the colon to promote 'emptying.' I really don't think with diverticulitis a stimulant laxative would be indicated. Check with your doc.
I have been a soft contact lens wearer for almost 25 years. My prescription has changed and my doctor has told me that I will need special order lenses as the prescription is out of the range for mail ordere lenses -12.5 in both eyes. I am in the middle to end of a body cleanse and was aware there might be a rash perhaps somewhere on the body as toxins were released from fat cells. Well there are several other things you can try such as an herbal colon cleanse, magnesium and probiotics. I don't know what types of herbal supplements you would be able to get but Hydrangea helps magnesium levels and probiotics help if you have an imbalance of good bacteria in your gut. Sorry its not much help.
