I will do further investigation, but I wanted to know if this ACOG Colon Cleanse contains psyllium fiber or not. If it does, then it is something that I can't use myself. So, that's why I want to know. Psyllium fiber is useful for some people, but not for those of us with a lot of food sensitivities.

I am currently taking Zoloft for depression and anxiety and am preparing to do a detox colon cleanse. Is it safe to do a all natural herbal detox colon cleanse while on Zoloft as long as the Zoloft is taken a few hours apart from all other supplements?

If this is the Natural Clean I'm thinking of, it's for cleaning drugs out of your system to pass a drug test, not a colon cleanser. Does anyone have any suggestions about remedies for a lazy colon. I have come to the conclusion this is my problem. I have suffered with constipation for years and have seen a gastric doctor for 25+ years. I CANNOT drink the fiber drinks! This cleanse is meant to be used as a juice fast and laxative-based colon detox. You want to use it differently. I have no idea if this works if you do it the way they suggest, though I can almost guarantee the cleanse has nothing to do with weight loss -- if you stop eating of course you'll lose weight. I've had that happen before. Fiber supplements will help. This is why most doctors continue to advise their patients to use Metamucil and Citracel, which are psyllium fiber based. I can't use psyllium fiber myself, since it aggravates my GERD. My naturopath said this is actually quite common with psyllium fiber. There is one other commercial product that people use that you may find easier to take, since it has no flavor of its own.

I had colon surgery May 07 and only a small part of the colon was removed. However, it has been more than a year and I am still having trouble with constipation. Metamucil and Citrucel didn't do alot for me except give me a feeling and look of being bloated. I use the all-natural psyllium also and it seems to work better. The only way I can swallow the psyllium is mix it with orange metamucil. Otherwise, I almost vomit trying to drink it. Best of luck to all of you.

I have has a recurring burning sensation in my colon area (lower left abdomen) for a while. It comes and goes. For the last couple weeks it's been more often and hurts a little more. And for the past couple of days, it's been unbearable. I have IBS and have had some constipation here and there. I had my gall bladder out about 8 yrs ago. Other than that I'm not sure what to do. It hurts alot.

Colon cleanse is not an enema. It's laxatives you take or drink very simular to what you took before your colonoscopy. They cleaned your colon out before they put the snake camera up your colon. LOL I don't think theres a lot of medical benefit to cleaning the colon unless you have constipation problems. Too much info right?
