I posted a little while ago about my constipation... my constiption has gotten somewhat better in than I am now having bowel movements, though they are still somewhat incomplete. one thing i noticed is that my stool changes VERY often... for example, I'll have watery diarrhea one day, heavier, more solid stool the next day, and then today, i had stringy thin stool in the morning and "mushy" (but not diarrhea) at night.
I have been looking for a good short term . cleanse that I can take on for a bout one month to sort of reinvigorate myself. I was on a lot of medication for many reasons and now I can finally stop so I want to try to bring some of thegood stuff back in my body. On the other hand, the medication I was taking made it difficult for me to eat. I was really7 heavy at first and now I am at a reasonable weight. So, I dont want this detox/cleanse to be too calorie packed.
I think it's important for your mom to know how healthy her liver is before attempting any cleanses. I've tried a colon cleanse with no problems in the past, but liver cleanses tend to be less gentle...and if her liver is challenged, she may more run into problems.
My personal opinion is to stay away from any product that has a long list of ingredients unless you have the time to look up each one. In the case of liver health, more is NOT better.
Cramps may be coming from build up or even digestive dissorders. A good gentle cleanse I know of is called ACOG colon cleanse. I use it myself and it does wonders for the elimintation process. The problem with using products that do a colon cleanse is that they are filled with laxatives, yes most of them have natural elements, but laxatives none the less. This actually causes more problems to your colon over a period of time. I swore by a colon cleanse product prior to my colonoscopy it was the ONLY thing that made me regular.

If you can do something about it now....you might not need surgery AT ALL!!! Look into health colon cleanse herb capsules at your local health store. All it is is a wide variety of spices and herbs most people desperately need but NEVER get these days. No danger....but you will need a lot of water and don't go too far from a bathroom for a few days until your body can manage to adapt to the new, healthy routine.

After doing a colon cleanse I developed back pain it's more like a frying feeling right where the sigmoid colon is located. If I don't take a cleanse pill I get constipated now and when I use the pill I get this feeling of frying in my back. Now I feel like my insides ovaries and uterus is going to fall out. I have a history of ovarian cyst the simple cyst I get them all the time the bust and cause this frying feeling to but in lower stomach.
