5766249 tn?1375776295 Here I would like to know some diet tips which are helpful for avoiding colon problems. When a person is in diet for weight loss what kind of foods a victim need to take to get rid of the colon issues. Are those foods show their effect in weight weight loss journey? Please let me know.
Avatar m tn What is your diet? Even if your colon moves slowly, you can re-educate your bowel. 1) Physical therapy You need to educate your colon to start moving faster again. Physical therapy is more effective than any laxatives on the market but it takes time and patience. Find someone who specializes in pelvic floor dysfunction. It could really help you. 2) STOP taking laxatives The more laxatives you take, the more it makes your colon lazy.
Avatar f tn So try to consume more fiber foods, mean while drink plenty of water. Vegetables, fruits, beans and whole grains are rich in fiber and add them to your regular diet. Regular workouts can help to avoid health complications.
Avatar n tn I think it's important for your mom to know how healthy her liver is before attempting any cleanses. I've tried a colon cleanse with no problems in the past, but liver cleanses tend to be less gentle...and if her liver is challenged, she may more run into problems. My personal opinion is to stay away from any product that has a long list of ingredients unless you have the time to look up each one. In the case of liver health, more is NOT better.
Avatar f tn I need advice for colon cleanse. Is colon cleanse necessary? i have good bowel function, regular BM's and generally good health and balanced diet. My question is should i do colon cleanse? At the moment i take Aloe Vera juice for colon cleanse. I need an advice.
Avatar f tn If you can do something about it now....you might not need surgery AT ALL!!! Look into health colon cleanse herb capsules at your local health store. All it is is a wide variety of spices and herbs most people desperately need but NEVER get these days. No danger....but you will need a lot of water and don't go too far from a bathroom for a few days until your body can manage to adapt to the new, healthy routine. BUy a friggin juicer and then juice....everything!
Avatar f tn Suggest increasing the fiber in your diet, which is whole grains, fruits, and vegetables if you have not already. For whole grains, for example: oatmeal for breakfast, whole wheat breads, oatmeal cookies, bran muffins, whole-wheat pasta, and brown rice. Serve fruit and vegetables in any form, raw or cooked. Salads are great if she will eat it. The most important aspect to increased fiber is increasing your fluid intake.
Avatar f tn This cleanse is meant to be used as a juice fast and laxative-based colon detox. You want to use it differently. I have no idea if this works if you do it the way they suggest, though I can almost guarantee the cleanse has nothing to do with weight loss -- if you stop eating of course you'll lose weight. When you start eating again, unless you change your diet, you'll gain the weight back. Using laxatives can be helpful in a short-term fast, but they can also be tricky.
Avatar m tn So, she firsts puts people on diets that are not vegan or vegetarian, but consist only of whole, natural, foods. For instance, whole grains such as whole wheat bread, brown rice, oatmeal, etc. Beans, fruit, vegetables and nuts. Meat and dairy can be eaten. But the diet must be healthy and free from junk food, and processed, packaged foods and refined foods like things made with white sugar and white flour.
Avatar f tn Blood tests will help detect infections, besides stool examination which will reveal fat malabsorbtion. Colonoscopy and flexible sigmoidoscopy are procedures which are used to study the whole colon for infections and inflammations. Bacterial overgrowth is tested with a breath test. Please discuss these issues with your primary care physician when you happen to meet him. Hope this helped and do keep us posted.
473493 tn?1236836912 I know of a network marketing program. It's a total body cleanse with the side benefit of weight loss. The products are natural, no stimulants. It's wonderful and it works. It's not cheap but neither is the effects of being overweight. You can look at my profile and get the info. I'll be glad to share my results so far.
Avatar f tn I went on a natural cleanse a few months ago. I took out all white flours, sugars, and pretty much everything in my diet during the cleanse. All i ate was healthy raw organic fruits and veggies, rice, and fish. I started juicing vegetables. That helped me I think. During that time, the bleeding stopped and i felt better. But as soon as I introduced flour and dairy ( cheese) back into my diet - the pains and symptoms came back even worse at first.
Avatar n tn To help with the constipation add fiber to her diet, which is whole grains, fruits, and vegetables. For whole grains, for example: oatmeal for breakfast, whole wheat breads, oatmeal cookies, bran muffins, whole-wheat pasta, and brown rice. Serve vegetables in any form, raw or cooked. Salads are great if she will eat it. You also need to increase her fluid intake with additional fiber. Fiber is great for increased bowel movements; however, it needs fluids to get through the colon.
Avatar f tn The problem with using products that do a colon cleanse is that they are filled with laxatives, yes most of them have natural elements, but laxatives none the less. This actually causes more problems to your colon over a period of time. I swore by a colon cleanse product prior to my colonoscopy it was the ONLY thing that made me regular.
Avatar f tn Whole grains are a healthy part of any diet, unless you are allergic or intolerant. I couldn't find the functional fitness.com, but it sounds like something that could be expensive. Regular exercise, such as walking, biking, swimming, etc are excellent for building muscle and burning fat. You don't have to do anything strenuous.
1435024 tn?1283573524 I was thinking about doing the Master Cleanse diet this weekend and I wanted to know everyone's thoughts on it or anyone who has ever done it before? I plan on doing it every weekend for the a month and eating light foods during the week. I already drink lots of water and I plan incorporating some cardio excersize with it too. How do you guys think of that?
Avatar m tn " if you're used to eating pizza and hamburgers regularly, you'll crave them. It's because small particles of them from previous meals are still in your body.........................." Yeah... little microscopic pepperoni pizzasare coursing through your veins, waiting to be filtered out by your liver... I visited that site. They've got the liver cleanse, the requisite colon cleanse, and a candida cleanse. If you ask me, their real specialty is the wallet cleanse.
6403373 tn?1381003248 Along with veggies, opt for lean protein, such as that from low/no fat dairy, meat, eggs, beans, etc. Opt for whole grains, rather than refined grains. Avoid as much processed food as possible.
1267460 tn?1270259192 I believe that the paleo diet did not originally involve grains. Grains were not introduced into our diet until agriculture came into being. Most people where "hunter/gatherers" so they ate only what they could find seasonally. Of course, the closer you get to fresh food, the better it is for you; that's why we recommend that you shop around the "outside walls" of your grocery store.
Avatar m tn First of all, make sure you are not eating ANY dairy products of any kind and that you are eating lots of raw fruit, vegetables, and whole grains like oatmeal, brown rice, whole wheat bread and whole wheat pasta. NO refined grains like white bread, white rice or white pasta either. Try using Ducolax brand rectal suppositories. Not regular rectal suppositories. The Ducolax laxatives are the only ones that work for me also (I'm talking about the oral ones now).
Avatar m tn she is a post bypass pt for 10 years ago, lately she also was diagnosed with pericarditis, AMI, mitral valve loosen, DM type 1, the private hosp cardiologist was already exhausted to my mum. it also say that the strep bovis in the serum was high and it may b a early sign of colon cancer. my mum was treated by penicilin during hospitalization for 2 weeks. and she currently was on spironolactone, bentamine diuretic.
Avatar m tn I am getting to do the liver cleanse which you do after the colon is healthy. Detox is very difficult, many emotions from childhood came up for me, it was the end of my suffering to well worth it. A good website to check out is www.************. Try to inspire your wife to cleanse, take colon cleaning herbs and go for colonics, she will never look back.
Avatar n tn I used Super Colon Cleanse tablets by Health Plus Inc. It is sold on Amazon, but I got mine at GNC. The bottle says to take 4 tablets twice daily for 10 days. I did not notice any blood today.
Avatar f tn I would change the juice to water, and maybe add a kiwifruit a day, and just add plenty of grains to your diet, whole grain bread etc, your probably already doing that, also pear juice is great, the pregnancy hormones relax your intestines and colon so thats why you get constipated easier in pregnancy :)
Avatar f tn twice a day and I still suppliment with tums. Will a colon cleanse solve my problem? I am desparate to feel normal again.
425312 tn?1279966179 Colon cleanse is not an enema. It's laxatives you take or drink very simular to what you took before your colonoscopy. They cleaned your colon out before they put the snake camera up your colon. LOL I don't think theres a lot of medical benefit to cleaning the colon unless you have constipation problems. Too much info right?
Avatar m tn I am 20 years old and for as far as I can remember back to when I was a little kid... I would get fecal leakage 30-60 minutes after I had a bowel movement. I will go to wipe and it will almost be like I never did. It is so embarrassing. Sometimes it even happens before I go to the bathroom. I actually just got the courage today to go to the doctor and tell him about it and he put me on a Mira-lax cleanse to kind of "reset" my colon. He also said I need more fiber in my diet.
