colon-cleanse

Avatar f tn This makes me so angry, that they would even say you would have a bag! If by chance you ever need to have your colon removed, you will not have to have a bag, you can have a J-Pouch which means they remove your colon, attach your small intestine to it and your small intestine acts as your colon. My son has this. You are wise to keep getting others opinions on this. MD Anderson in Texas is world renowned for their works with this, so if the Mayo can't help, try them.
Avatar f tn I need advice for colon cleanse. Is colon cleanse necessary? i have good bowel function, regular BM's and generally good health and balanced diet. My question is should i do colon cleanse? At the moment i take Aloe Vera juice for colon cleanse. I need an advice.
5766249 tn?1375776295 Here I would like to know some diet tips which are helpful for avoiding colon problems. When a person is in diet for weight loss what kind of foods a victim need to take to get rid of the colon issues. Are those foods show their effect in weight weight loss journey? Please let me know.
Avatar f tn This cleanse is meant to be used as a juice fast and laxative-based colon detox. You want to use it differently. I have no idea if this works if you do it the way they suggest, though I can almost guarantee the cleanse has nothing to do with weight loss -- if you stop eating of course you'll lose weight. When you start eating again, unless you change your diet, you'll gain the weight back. Using laxatives can be helpful in a short-term fast, but they can also be tricky.
Avatar n tn I think it's important for your mom to know how healthy her liver is before attempting any cleanses. I've tried a colon cleanse with no problems in the past, but liver cleanses tend to be less gentle...and if her liver is challenged, she may more run into problems. My personal opinion is to stay away from any product that has a long list of ingredients unless you have the time to look up each one. In the case of liver health, more is NOT better.
473493 tn?1236836912 I know of a network marketing program. It's a total body cleanse with the side benefit of weight loss. The products are natural, no stimulants. It's wonderful and it works. It's not cheap but neither is the effects of being overweight. You can look at my profile and get the info. I'll be glad to share my results so far.
Avatar m tn " if you're used to eating pizza and hamburgers regularly, you'll crave them. It's because small particles of them from previous meals are still in your body.........................." Yeah... little microscopic pepperoni pizzasare coursing through your veins, waiting to be filtered out by your liver... I visited that site. They've got the liver cleanse, the requisite colon cleanse, and a candida cleanse. If you ask me, their real specialty is the wallet cleanse.
Avatar f tn re considering a detox diet, get the OK from your doctor first — and remember, the best diet is a healthy diet based on fruits and vegetables, whole grains and lean sources of protein. http://www.mayoclinic.
627388 tn?1222198212 Has anyone from the MS forum ever seek treatment for their MS at the Mayo Clinic? If so, how was your as your experience with physicians from the clinic? I am considering driving up to Mayo at some point if my neurologist in town can't definatively diagnosis me.
Avatar f tn I have just made an appointment for a full work up at the Mayo Clinic, does anyone know the tests involved and how much they charge? Thank you!
582396 tn?1259863489 I am over the moon excited that DH got a 5-10 day appointment at Mayo Clinic - Dec. 10. Anyone have any experiences on what to expect etc?
Avatar m tn Some here on the board are not real pleased with the Mayo clinic. It seems they have their own set of standards to give out a dx of MS. I personally know nothing about them and wish you the best....hoping for that answer.
1264955 tn?1381782221 Has anybody here been to the neurology clinic at the Mayo or in their inpatient pain treatment program?
Avatar m tn she is a post bypass pt for 10 years ago, lately she also was diagnosed with pericarditis, AMI, mitral valve loosen, DM type 1, the private hosp cardiologist was already exhausted to my mum. it also say that the strep bovis in the serum was high and it may b a early sign of colon cancer. my mum was treated by penicilin during hospitalization for 2 weeks. and she currently was on spironolactone, bentamine diuretic.
Avatar n tn I used Super Colon Cleanse tablets by Health Plus Inc. It is sold on Amazon, but I got mine at GNC. The bottle says to take 4 tablets twice daily for 10 days. I did not notice any blood today.
Avatar f tn The problem with using products that do a colon cleanse is that they are filled with laxatives, yes most of them have natural elements, but laxatives none the less. This actually causes more problems to your colon over a period of time. I swore by a colon cleanse product prior to my colonoscopy it was the ONLY thing that made me regular.
Avatar n tn A highly recommended specialist from UAB, formerly from the Mayo Clinic, said I had two options. 1.) Continue having my weekly colonix for the rest of my life or 2.) Remove my entire conlon and connect my small intestine to my rectum. He said I would be trading constipation for diarrhea. Currently, even with colonix, I suffer from headaches, blurred vision, trouble sleeping, always tired, bloated, crampy.
Avatar f tn twice a day and I still suppliment with tums. Will a colon cleanse solve my problem? I am desparate to feel normal again.
Avatar m tn I am 20 years old and for as far as I can remember back to when I was a little kid... I would get fecal leakage 30-60 minutes after I had a bowel movement. I will go to wipe and it will almost be like I never did. It is so embarrassing. Sometimes it even happens before I go to the bathroom. I actually just got the courage today to go to the doctor and tell him about it and he put me on a Mira-lax cleanse to kind of "reset" my colon. He also said I need more fiber in my diet.
Avatar f tn Factoring in that I had recently had a child, I thought that maybe I needed to try a colon cleanse. I bought a Whole Body Cleanse from WalMart and since then..which has been 5 days (totaling in 15 laxatives...not to mention fiber pills) I have only had what amounts to (maybe) 3 bowel movements =/ my stomach is swollen and HONESTLY looks like I am 7 or 8 months pregnant again...this is NOT an exaggeration at all. Am I having a reaction to the cleanse? Is something else wrong with me?
Avatar f tn I am currently taking Zoloft for depression and anxiety and am preparing to do a detox colon cleanse. Is it safe to do a all natural herbal detox colon cleanse while on Zoloft as long as the Zoloft is taken a few hours apart from all other supplements?
1454383 tn?1288947277 If this is the Natural Clean I'm thinking of, it's for cleaning drugs out of your system to pass a drug test, not a colon cleanser. Maximum burn is a scam -- acai berry is, like all berries, high in antioxidants, but it won't help you lose weight. Real colon cleansers are based on fiber such as psyllium and some have laxatives in them, which aren't healthy, such as diet teas.
Avatar f tn I have been told that detoxing by doing a colon cleanse, full body cleanse and coffee enemas help remove toxins that block weight loss. I am going to try that along with healthier eating. The company BioImmune at BioImmune.com has a great detox that is easy and gentle and the only detox that crosses the blood/brain barrier.
Avatar f tn I went on a natural cleanse a few months ago. I took out all white flours, sugars, and pretty much everything in my diet during the cleanse. All i ate was healthy raw organic fruits and veggies, rice, and fish. I started juicing vegetables. That helped me I think. During that time, the bleeding stopped and i felt better. But as soon as I introduced flour and dairy ( cheese) back into my diet - the pains and symptoms came back even worse at first.
Avatar f tn If there is any history of colon cancer in the family and the test for BRCA1/2 is negative they will test for Lynch Syndrome. Here are some notes from Mayo Clinic. Joy, my mother is going through testing now and they have decided to test for BRCA1/2 first. They will test for Lynch Syndrome down the line if need be. I had never heard of this so wanted to share.
Avatar n tn Cleveland clinic in Ohio has some excellent doctors. There is also Mayo clinic, and John Hopkins. I hope you get some comfort and rest soon, best wishes...
