Call ur doc. I too have a cold and my doctor is very specific. She said cough drops are ok as are as afrin nasal spray. And cough drops. But be careful with other meds. She said do NOT take the ones for multi sypmtoms because there is bad stuff in them.

Hi again... well, my GP is given me 6 days of 50mg Prednisone again to help my symptoms calm down. Hopefully. I also have shoulder Bursitis...we think... and he hope the meds help this too. I have had a sore shoulder for 1.5 years..but it has really gotten bad for the past few months. Napraxen and Celebrex didn't help the inflammation. My GP is not sure its Bursitis, but it sounds like it to him. He didn't even look at it..just from what I have told him?

Welcome to the forum! Just remember everyone is different and if you can taper that's AWESOME! You are a much stronger person than me. I had to go CT because if I knew they were around I was a hazard to myself. It also sounds like you have a good husband for support. You can get through this and we are here for you! Try to get yourself in an aftercare like AA or NA this has really helped a lot of us here!Good luck and keep posting your progress!

I got a cold about a month ago, maybe just over a month, and it almost went away then came back and it seems more so in my chest now. It feels like it is full of mucous which I can not seem to cough up. My nose is still runny/stuffy and I have a bad cough again that started the other day. I have never been sick this long! Is it normal for a cold to last this long and get worse instead of better?
