Avatar f tn Would primary ocular herpes be more likely to present itself as a stye vs looking more like a cold sore/ blister? No pain, swollen lid or tearing… just a stye and blurry eye… for weeks?
Avatar f tn Signs of toxicity and symptoms of withdrawal have been reported in infants following high doses or chronic maternal use close to term. Diphenhydramine has been evaluated for the treatment of hyperemesis gravidarum. It is generally not considered the antihistamine of choice for treating allergic rhinitis or nausea and vomiting during pregnancy. Breast-Feeding Considerations Infants may be more sensitive to the effects of antihistamines.
Avatar f tn I feel Gerd and milk allergy are grossly overdiagnosed in infants. Lactose overload has been diagnosed in breast-fed infants now - and I believe it is also found in babies.

Avatar f tn It will remain in baby's system. Especially if you took them for more than 2 weeks. You need to let your OB know even if it leaves both systems because if you we're abusing them and taking them for a long period of time we can't diagnose the outcome. No judgement, but please for the sake of your innocent baby tell your Dr. You made the right decision to stop taking them. Best wishes!

Avatar n tn Drs will typically give infants nebulizer treatments with a mask vs. an inhaler. Inhalers are usually more given to older toddlers and children. Does this help?

1158221 tn?1327972603 I just went in the health food store and asked if there were Vit C pills for infants. You can mix 1-3 in with like a tbsp of warm water and it dissolves really quick.
Avatar f tn For sinus, run the hot water in the bathroom, make it really steamy and stay in the bathroom for a few minutes. The longer the better and just inhale. You can also take a wash cloth run that under water, throw it in a baggy then in the microwave for about 35 seconds (careful it's hot) let it get a little cool then place it on ur face and breathe in the steam. Put some pressure on ur face with your hands. Vicks vapor run works wonders also (run on chest, neck, and back).
1361044 tn?1277598308 Honestly, in my opinion, babies are so wrapped up in this new world, all the new things going in for them, that a little cold (virus) hardly slows them down. it could be your baby is behind because she doesn't feel well all the time, and THAT is holding her back. Maybe not, but in either case I would push for them to figure it out. Chalking it all down to a virus is a lazy, sorry excuse. My point is, YOU DO know your child more than anyone.
Avatar f tn s health so for me back scenes are good over the counter medications that they say are okay I did not do cuz the vaccines have a long term effect That could help the baby and odds are in a positive favor vs. Neg. So for me the risk is very low. But the Benifits huge.
478429 tn?1265244387 Corticosteroids have been shown to be teratogenic in many species when given in doses equivalent to the human dose. Animal studies in which corticosteroids have been given to pregnant mice, rats, and rabbits have yielded an increased incidence of cleft palate in the offspring. There are no adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women. Corticosteroids should be used during pregnancy only if the potential benefit justifies the potential risk to the fetus.
7845323 tn?1394873413 That said, Im going to monitor my cat at all times and not let her be in the nursery or room when baby is napping and so am I. My cat hasnt tried jumping in the crib so Im relieved about that too.
Avatar f tn I have been having episodes of lips swelling and facial swelling for the past 20 years. I have been tested for all allergies and they told me that they could not find anything that I am allergic to....recently had a severe facial swelling and the doctor in the ER mentioned HAE. I am being tested for HAE, but does anyone have any information regarding this rare disease? I understand that traditional methods of epi-pens, benedryl and prednisone does not help!! A little nervous here......
Avatar m tn In the wake of the Ebola Virus, SARS, and Bird Flu scares, and now with Swine Flu (Mexico Flu) sweeping the planet, and with the continued overuse of antibiotics giving promise of worse to come, the reader is urged to consider this article in a most serious light. Avatar m tn Cold is not usually associated with all you listed out. Though it comes with cold or winter season often or with somebody that responds to change of temperature readily. All the things you said shows more of allergy, it now depends on if you have a family history of such or is just occuring to you.
