Also, I felt that the mucus lining from throat went! I am now down with very heavy cold/cough. No temperature, glands only slightly raised. Any link to eating the walnuts or just coincidence?
I have a sharp pain in my left lower back that causes me to stop everything that I am doing. My doctor told me it was a "kidney stone" that would pass on its own....but that was over 6 months ago. I have also been to the hospital, and I was told the same thing. My girlfriend is in nursing school and she stated a point that if it was a kidney stone, the location of the pain would have moved if the stone was passing, but it has not.
I would guess it has something to do with selenium in nuts, but that is just a wild guess.
Apparently walnuts can make it harder to absorb Synthroid. Some thyroid medication specifically advises not to consume walnuts for four hours after taking Synthroid.
I too, would love to know if there is any scientific basis to this. Some people swear Brazil nuts, with high levels of selenium, can stop their Hashimoto's.
I am a 60 yr old female with extensive history of kidney stones since 1978 (before lithotrypsy), recurrent infections & blood in urine. I am prone to both calcium stones & uric acid stones. First kidney stone was size of a walnut & could not pass so was removed by actual surgery. Over the yrs I experienced more stones that would not pass so more surgeries. Have developed scar tissue in both ureters & have had 2 stents. Extreme pain so stent removal.

My three year old nephew has never shown signs of walnut allergies until recently. He was helping cook a cake when he used his hands to put chopped (pre-packaged) walnuts into the cake batter. Since they were chopped there was a lot of walnut powder in the package, as well.

I have a lump on my head, behind my right ear. It's about the size of a walnut. It's quite tender to the touch and painful at times. I've had it for 2 days. I have also been sick with cold (very sore throat and dry, consistent coughing).
I have read the possible things this lump might be, but how would one go about treating it? I do not have insurance! How would a swollen lymph node behind the right ear (on the head, where ear meets the head) be treated?

I'm 14 and have a hard walnut sized bump under my skin between my hip and groin on my left side and a smaller one on the right. It wasn't there a week ago but im not sure how long it couldve been after that. It doesnt really hurt but my left leg goes completley numb at times and i cant walk. Also, my hip bones like click when i walk.
I was diagnose with thyroid since 200 and i have taken the radio active treatment and am now on levothyroxine 0.05mg which i take daily. I don't know if it's because of the thyroid but i have been experience serious allergies for the past two year. I have seen my doctor and been on medication, every year during the allergy season, i will have to take special treatment for three day to be able to breath again normal.
and like the guides say pretty walnut shaped and sized.... It was so easy to find though, it says that you have to look around for it? I found mine straight away! it feels huge... but thinking about it after it is probably only the size of a walnut. This made me worry :/ Do you guys think this was my prostate?
I have been ill for the 8-12 months, digestive problems, ruq pain, occasional vomiting, cold sweats, fatigue, insomnia, headaches, ringing in ears. A few days ago I noticed these seed like objects in my stool, it was a loose BM, so they were easy to see. I actually have seen them before but just thought it was a grape seed or something, but his week I knew I hadn't eaten anything resembling these seeds and now I notice that in a firmer BM the seeds are impacted in the stool.

My son has a nut allergy. Does this include the walnut and chestnut trees in our yard? I didnt even think about them while we were at the allergy office.
Ok cause I was given valtrex for cold sores, but it's like 8 pills to take in two days, not an every day occurrence, plus I have a prescription ointment for the cold sores.
