Common Questions and Answers about Cold remedies tea

cold

Avatar n tn Hi, im 21 weeks pregnant and im coming down with a bad cold. Are there any safe medicines I can take while im pregnant? Or common home remedies, please help !
Avatar f tn Unless you have a fever over 100, I would just use OTC and natural remedies. Keep an eye on it and if you develop a higher fever, the sore throat persists more than three days or you develop flu like symptoms- then call your pcp.
Avatar f tn I'm 34 weeks pregnant and I have a small cold. Anyone have any herbal remedies to help ease the cold??
Avatar f tn Also eating garlic is good, not really pleasant but it works. Google cold home remedies and they can properly tell you the steps. Be patient they work. I had a nasty cough with mucus and didn't want to take medicine to be safe.
Avatar f tn What helped me A LOT was ginger tea, and hot lemonades sweeten with honey. I was scared of taking medicines so I always looked for natural remedies.
Avatar f tn m allergic to cold medicine, so I always use natural remedies. As soon as I feel a cold coming on, I double my Vitamin C. I also steam fresh mint leaves for congestion and make and my own vitamin water using mint leaves, fresh cut lemons and limes. I can usually kick a cold within 2-3 days using these remedies. Good luck and feel better!

Avatar f tn ve slowly been getting sick with a head, chest and throat cold. What can I take for a cold and any other remedies that will work? Help!!! Feeling so sick!
Avatar f tn A brand of tea called stash makes a lemon ginger tea. I add a tablespoon of honey to it. Honey is supposed to be good for everything. It really soothed my daughters cough when she was sick. Luckiky I didn't get the last 3-4 colds that got the rest of my family. I swear its the prenatals.
Avatar f tn / any natural home remedies that worked for u ladies? I want to avoid it turning into a cough as I will be having a csection and I had an awful cough with my 1st. it was sooo painful to cough with the incision and resulted in me getting an infection that took longer for me to heal...
Avatar f tn Yea my doctor only said home remedies. Steam from a shower, honey, tea, etc and rest is what I am told to do. If nothing improves by Monday I will try pottery stuff with my doctor. It's my next prenatal visit anyways.
Avatar f tn Tea, honey and Lemon. Get a vaporizer.
Avatar f tn I have a bad cold very stuffy nose headache sore throat n coughing when I cough my tummy hurts all this on top of the vomiting n cramping n constipation ughhh been suckin on cough drops n drinking tea n taking vit c n garlic to try n kick it out but so far still feel like crap is there any cold meds that can be taken during pregnancy?
Avatar f tn Depends on what kind you choose, my doctor and my local pharmacist recommend me only using....Ricola natural Honey-Herb. Other cough drops contain a few ingredients that haven't been studied enough to know the possible side effects. Ask a pharmacist, detail how many weeks you are. I can also suggest a homemade tea that's helpful!!! Fresh Chamomile with both the flower and stem, fresh lime, cinnamon and honey. It's simple to make.
Avatar f tn I have this nagging cold that just won't go away. I think it's on its way out and the next day I wake up with different symptoms. Recently it's turned into a sore throat, bumps on the back of a swollen tongue, painful and irritating. Had a Dr. appt last week and its nothing serious, but I can't get rid if it and don't want antibiotics. Have been drinking garlic/lemon tea, rinsing with salt water, does anyone have any safe home remedies to try??
7520331 tn?1395101988 Wish I had more but I had a bad cold last week and that helped. You can also take cold medicine specifically designed for high blood pressure patients.
Avatar f tn I dealt with the cold for 4 days I felt horrible and I'm over due, you can drink mint tea add lemon and honey, drink lots of fluids nothing cold , soup as we'll helps . If you do shower go straight to bed . Be covered up. Also I was taking Tylenol and made me feel better till the 4th day but it helps. I was takin it twice a day. Stay in and rest I took my third day and my bf made me teas , soups , he let me sleep all day and next day I was feeling so much better.
Avatar f tn You can try drinking honey and lemon black tea. Put a tea spoon of honey and a couple of drops of lemon in your tea and instead of putting milk but in cold water. And just sip on it. Try it for a week or so. It does not taste the chestnut it works.
Avatar f tn Honey is a good natural cough syrup, and honey in hot tea (I like peppermint tea helps soothe your throat. A humidifier will help you breathe and sleep better, and cough drops and chloroseptic spray for your throat are just fine. I did have a pretty serious upper respiratory infection in the first trimester, and my OB said regular mucinex is okay.
