I'm looking for help with my codeine addiction. Im 28 and have been using for 4 years and take up to 64 nurofen plus (£14) a day. I've tried unsuccessfully to home detox, taper etc many times but fail as its too difficult not only physically but mentally.
Hello All, I am in need of some serious help. I have Lupus and tried heroine and it helped me feel human again so I started using. It hasn't been long and I snort it. I have used it for a month or two straight and just literally tried to detox (3 days) and couldn't handle it. I used a little yesterday and now it started all over again this morning. It seems that the shakes and sweats have something to do with body temp regulation, meaning its always under such as 72.6 etc.
t fortunate enough to afford a space heater. Talk about cold! I slept under a mountain of blankets, doubled up on socks, leggings with sweats over them. A hoodie and long sleeved shirts. I even slept with mittens on at one point. Anything to stay warm. As far as your pos landlord goes.. You should do some research and see what can be done for his negligent behavior. As a land lord he is required to make sure the home is suitable for living. Saying a little prayer for you dear.
I am of Effexor 75mg they stopped making the 36mg dosage, I want to go off of them ands tart new. How do I do this? If i can't be slowly put off of them? I tryed cold turkey and was seeign things that were not there I have headacks from this medication insomnia and very painful pains in my neck and body, I am tired literally and can no seem to sleep enough. Today I get that one is too many, and a thouosand never enough. When I first came to NA and looked at everyone else. I was younger and therefore different.
I was off for 8 days! I fell, I feel horrible about it but I am ready to climb that mountain again - and stay there. I guess a question I have for now is If i cleaned my body for those 8 days, then went on like a 8 day binge so to speak will I still have the W/Ds as severe as last time? I can't believe I fell but I did. I want my life back and I am going to take it back. Just curious if I should expect the same physical deal I did when I stopped Dec 1, then I had not been clean for years.
I SAW SEVERAL VERY BAD HEROINE ADDICTS BE SUCCESSFULL WITH SUBOXONE. DONT LET THE DOCTORS TELL YOU THAT IT WONT HELP. I EVEN HAVE A FRIEND WHO WAS ON METHADONE AND WAS DENIED SUBOXONE TREATMENT BECAUSE SHE SUPPOSEDLY TOOK TOO MUCH METHADONE FOR IT TO HELP. SHE WENT TO A TREATMENT CENTER WHO GAVE IT TO HER ANYWAY AND SHE GOT THROUGH IT WITH EASE. SHE IS NOW MORE THAN TWO MONTHS CLEAN. SUBOXONE IS DEFINATELY THE MIRACLE DRUG THAT ADDICTS AROUND THE WORLD HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR.

We actually kinda got the name Kaelghn from the show "The Legend of the Seeker", I know we're big nerds, but the heroine of the show is a dark haired freckled lady and the show is very Celtic. I originally started watching it because I was so happy to see a freckled brunette as the main heroine. (I don't think Lucy Lawless has freckles.)

Hi iv been adicted to subutex for just over 2 and a half years iv never took heroine or any other hard drugs. Last week I ran out of them so was given methodone from a friend for a few days till 2day but now my tablets don't feel as though their working for me. Iv even taken more than I normally do but nothings changing. I'm not strong when it comes to this as I already suffer with depression. Is there anything I can do 2 help me please.
I didn't know that you were on suboxone. I know that it works for some people. My friend who was addicted to heroine though hasn't been lowered in the 4 years he has been off heroine and choses to use methadone and various other prescriptions drugs that he can get his hands on now. He bullshits his dr everytime they try to lower him. If you have enough discipline though, I know that it can be a real help. In my experience I just haven't seen someone that it helped.
