I have had a back molar crowned two years ago. Recently I had a fairly heavy cold starting with a sore throat. The cold just wouldn't clear up. Since it has now, I found I am still waking up with a sore throat on one side (I have no tonsils), and the gland under my jaw on the same side has been sore with some shooting pains. What always gets me is we go to the mall, someone sneezes all over us/coughs around us, we get a cold a few days later and think - oh I betcha I got this from that person in the mall who was sick - and don't think twice about it. He did root canal treatment, but could not find anything, the pain did not go away, and after several root canals, he referred me to a consultant for an apicectomy.
