Common Questions and Answers about Coffee withdrawal help

coffee

Avatar f tn Watch out for withdrawal headaches if you're used to your coffee and stop suddenly you can get a nasty one for a few days. On top of that, pregnancy can also cause migraines, and a little caffeine can help in a pinch; it's an active ingredient in migraine meds (which you CAN'T take). Just make sure you're also drinking lots and lots of water.
Avatar f tn Any tips for a coffee addict? I'm always wanting coffee, but I know I need to stop after 1-2 cups for my baby's sake. Any tips that worked for you?
Avatar f tn Frapps are real coffee they just have a lot of other fattening ingredients diluting the coffee. You wouldn't really be able to know the affects of the caffeine on your baby until its born. You are allowed 150-300 mg of caffiene a day which equals about 1 or 2 cups of coffee or on pop a day.
Avatar f tn A cup of coffee a day OR a couple of caffeinated sodas a day is fine. They recommend keeping consumption under 200mg.
Avatar f tn You can drink tylenol, and it could be either caffeine withdrawal if you stop drinking coffee or soda.
Avatar m tn I find that a couple cups help, tho I get my coffee beans straight from the mountains of guatamala. Spendy but potent! Drink enough till you are feeling better. Only thing that is really helping my energy levels.
Avatar f tn Im not at home long enough to drink four pots of coffee straight so I have a container of coffee in my car as a back up and I have a coffee maker in there too. In the mini fridge in my office I have whipped cream, caramel, chocolate syrup, and ice for making iced coffee. On my desk I have seven different types of coffee cups and mugs.
Avatar n tn I asked the nurse if I should completely cut out coffee or is it ok to have a cup a day and she said a cup a day is fine. I cut it out the first time and it wasn't too bad. For some reason this time around it's hard. I'm trying to slowly wean myself and cut it out but I was seeing if anyone else's Dr said it's ok to have a cup a day or did they want you to cut it out? Or is there anything you like to drink in the morning in place of it? Thanks!
Avatar f tn If you are still feeling sick natural yogurt biscuits toast can all help. Coffee aggravates ur tummy and makes u process more bile which is what you're throwing up.
910419 tn?1289483727 It could be a caffeine withdrawal migraine since the instant was decaf. Our bodies (since we are migraineurs) like rather rigid schedules, and that includes our caffeine consumption (if we have any in our diet). I have found that most migraineurs will need their daily cup of coffee around the exact same time of the day, and that they cannot replace this cup of coffee with a decaf cup of coffee.
Avatar f tn I was a complete coffee addict pre pregnancy, but now I limit it to no more than two cups of coffee a day, and sometimes I don't drink it at all. Also, I have a few Dr.
Avatar f tn I was only taking max three a day if that, off and on for a year or so. The only withdrawal symptoms that were really bothering me were stomach symptoms (I have ibs anyway) and mostly the RLS on speed feeling like all over my body. The symptoms are almost totally gone now. I was wondering if caffeine makes anyone else extremely happy now (as well as the energetic) I have never been a huge caffeine drinker to begin with.

Avatar f tn I'm always sleepy and tired, but the problem is i can be easily become hyper and anxious also. I don't understand. I'm always anxious about everything, worrying, so I'm supposed to be insomniac, but I sleep too much and even when I had panic attack I was kinda sleepy a bit. So if I take sedatives I become too sleepy all the time, end up sleeping 14hrs. and if I don't take sedatives I become agitated and unstable.
10219953 tn?1426171839 Any body else still having coffee? Iv had 4 Oz cup to 8 Oz couple times a week. Iv noticed that's it's helped with the minimal swelling/water rention when it happens usually the next day after Iv had a day of not drinking any. I still drink my 4 liters of water a day.
1193434 tn?1267628242 Like Vicki said, if you take a tylenol with caffeine that will help alot. The caffeine withdrawal can cause really bad headaches. I had body pain (sometimes quite bad) on and off for about the first month. I was also very tired. This will pass!! Its helped to take 800 mg of motrin, and to do get out and do some stretching and walking. Exercise helps to burn off some of the stress too. You will be ok if you just hang in there for a little while longer!!
Avatar f tn I know the normal pregnancy 'Dont drink coffee' speech, as I've heard it countless times. But I have also been told that it has not been proven that drinking coffee will negatively affect your growing baby in any way, just that it is recommended not to over-indulge, and not to drink more than the normal recommended daily intake for an adult. I am a coffee drinker, and I only have one cup, if that, every one or two days. I get tired of people telling me that it is harmful to my baby.
Avatar n tn I've only been sticking to decaf coffee in my pregnancy (9 weeks). Your headaches might not be due to caffeine withdrawal it can also be a pregnancy symptom, I've been getting lots. I found that with my constant fatigue real coffee doesn't help anyways. You are at highest risk for miscarriage is in the first trimester so I would be extra careful and stick to the recommended amount. Try drinking more water throughout the day to help ease and prevent headaches!
Avatar f tn I am shaking on the inside like I am cold. I worry about everything and anything. I need help. I take magnesium once or twice a day and started taking omega 3 once or twice a day. I can't eat much, can't drink coffee..I am a wreck. It does get somewhat better as the day goes on also..Any suggestions?
Avatar f tn I know caffeine is a big thing while pregnant, but lately I've been drinking soda everyday. And coffee I've been craving it, I don't want to drink coffee and soda in the same day. Could I be drinking to much caffeine? I don't want it later on being my fault for drinking to much. I cant help it sometimes. The past 2 days I haven't drink any soda nor coffee, but right now I'm craving some coffee.
1654035 tn?1332425178 ) But one cup of coffee is not going to hurt your baby.
Avatar f tn I am 36weeks + 1. I had cut back my caffine by drinking only one cup of coffee a day or less. Then I slowly started drinking a cup a day, now it's creeping up to 2 cups a day. The only research I can find on caffine is that it can lead to low birth weight if used in excess (which I would take to mean a whole lot, like a pot a day). What's everyone's opinion? Should I cut back before the baby us born? Is the baby going to have caffine withdrawal if I dont?
Avatar f tn I really like to have at least one coffee a day. Sometimes not a full on coffee, but a flavoured type drink with less caffeine, but caffeine nonetheless. Is it really really that bad to have one coffee a day if you're TTC??? Will it really hinder your TTC? thoughts??
Avatar m tn If you can get some exercise and eat healthy this will help. There are also several natural supplements and OTC remedies that can help if it persists too long for you. Congrats again on your 5 days!!!
Avatar n tn It's always best to ask your doctor these kinds of questions. Different doctors will have slightly different advice. When I was pregnant, my doc was pkay with up to 2 caffeinated beverages a day. Your doc should give you a list of all the things that are okay, and the things that aren't, including what kinds of OTC meds you can take. Any questions, just ask him/her! Good luck and congrats!
