Avatar n tn Did the doctor check your prostate as could be prostitus which is a prostate infection. The poor pee flow could mean your prostate is inflamed as your urerthra goes through the middle of your prostate and if enlarged will cut off the flow. how old are you?
Avatar m tn Like Life360 mentions your prostate may be causing the problem. Make an appointment to see your doctor. The doctor can examine you and will know if your prostate is enlarged which would cause you not to empty your bladder properly. The next step then would be to take a blood sample to be tested for PSA levels. As you are also having a "leakage" problem, your doctor is likely to refer you to a urologist.
Avatar n tn Well, alcohol irritates the urethra and bladder, so its not all that surprising that it would burn some after drinking. Dehydration can also cause the same thing. The only physical cause would be an inflamed prostate, and if you haven't had a prostate exam, it might be a good idea, at least to rule it out. Its not an std, though. You might get more ideas in the men's health forum.
Avatar f tn It sounds like you're having digestion problems. The most problematic of the foods you mention generally are first, the milk, second, the sugar, and third the coffee. But it's hard to say since diet is very complicated, and you don't say how soon after eating you laid down. Chamomile is a good stomach relaxant and anti-inflammatory, perhaps try some of that instead of the coffee, milk, and sugar and see how you do, assuming you don't need the coffee to stay awake.
Avatar n tn Is that due to some type of infection? UTI? what type of test should I get? No family history of prostate problem. my diet is low on chicken with fish, veggie, and fruits. Thanks much!

Avatar n tn This, and other statements on this forum such as forcing a bowel movement (which also stimulates the prostate) leads me to think that this is a prostate related problem. Also as mentioned earlier ejaculating before drinking helps empty the prostatic fluids (which is what the major part of sperm is made of) and relieve pressure from the prostate.
Avatar m tn A complete physical examination by a physician including a rectal and prostate examination will help determine any irregularities or enlargement of the prostate. However, an enlarged prostate may usually present with straining during urination or dribbling and decreased flow of urine. In your case you have also mentioned of a burning pain and increased frequency. These points to a more irritative condition that may suggest an infection.
Avatar m tn It seems that there is prostatits which is causing the increase in the size of the prostate. Avoid wine, coffee or colas as they are diuretic agents and increase the frequency of urination, increasing the pressure on the bladder neck. Consult your urologist for further action.
Avatar m tn at 16 once i was masturbating i felt something in my prostate, start to feel like prostate issue (frequent toilet trips,no power in ejaculation,i don't get empty enough, heat and uncomforted when sitting .. i still have sex and erection normally but ejaculation is very very weak. what shall i do ?
Avatar f tn //www.webmd.com/prostate-cancer/ejaculation-prostate-cancer-risk#1 There's still a lot we don't know. It doesn't prevent some of the deadlier, more aggressive forms of prostate cancer, for example, but may help prevent some others. We don't know why.
Avatar m tn First, I know I should see a doctor about this but I do not have good health insurance right now. This started about 2-3 weeks ago. I have a dull pain that is not constant on the left side, between my anus and scrotum sack. If I press near the tip of the pelvic bone, I can stimulate the pain. I feel the pain if I put pressure on the area or "suck in" my anus (not sure what the medical term for this is) and when walking or running.
Avatar m tn Another reason I feel that it is not a problem is due to the health advantages that coffee has, according to many health studies and reports (assuming this is not just propaganda). I have found that whether or not I drink coffee, the symptoms remain. Another bit of history that I have not revealed is that I am a Gulf War veteran and was in Saudi Arabia / Kuwait / Iraq throughout a one year period.
Avatar n tn I am a male 60 yrs. of age and in generally good health. My urologist diagnosed me with benign prostate disease approx. 15 yrs. ago. I have not seen a urologist in at least ten years. My MD found mucus in my urine on my last visit when I was complaining of lower back pain (constant dull ache) which I have had for about two months. What are the possible causes of this? My MD said to cut back on my coffee intake but the problem seems more serious than that.
Avatar f tn ve been trying to eat healthy and I have shrimp salads or chicken salads for dinner, breakfast is usually kix cereal or honey nut cherios with a banana and coffee. Avatar m tn other obstructive lesions, and benign or non-benign tumors of the organs of the genitourinary system (involving the bladder, urethra, the testicles, the seminal vesicles, the epididymis, the prostate gland etc). Investigations include blood tests, routine & culture tests of urine & semen, ultrasound & MRI scans of genitourinary system, and histopathological tests (FNAC, biopsy etc).
Avatar n tn I am 24 weeks pregnant tomorrow with baby #3 and the sleepless nights are starting to kick in. I really want, and need some coffee but I am nervous to drink it while pregnant. I know having a little caffeine is not bad and I have a soda every now and then but I've never had caffeinated coffee during any of my pregnancies. What do y'all think?
Avatar m tn ANYONE???????????????? could this be an enlarged prostate at my age???
Avatar n tn I'm a 32 year old male. In pretty good health but have a problem when urinating. I seem to be going to the bathroom every 45 minutes or right after I have a drink. I have no burning sensation and no pain whats so ever, just an urge to go the bathroom. I do not get up in the middle of the night but first thing in the morning I really have to go.
