Common Questions and Answers about Coffee health gas

coffee

Avatar f tn It sounds like you're having digestion problems. The most problematic of the foods you mention generally are first, the milk, second, the sugar, and third the coffee. But it's hard to say since diet is very complicated, and you don't say how soon after eating you laid down. Chamomile is a good stomach relaxant and anti-inflammatory, perhaps try some of that instead of the coffee, milk, and sugar and see how you do, assuming you don't need the coffee to stay awake.

Avatar m tn To avoid gas itself try with lactose-free or low fructose diet or both. They are sugars from which a lot gas may be produced. Gas, as you know, also comes from fibers, mostly from legumes (beans) and from cauliflower, also from beer... By my knowledge there are no enzymes which would help in sulphur gas. Beano and some other products contain enzymes which help to digest carbohydrate fibers (like cellulose), but not sulphur containing proteins.
Avatar f tn what can I do bout all this gas??? All day I have gas no matter what I eat I have it. What can I take?? I've been DRINKN Ginger ale but omg I can't take it. It doesn't hurt my stomach but the smell is KILLN us!!! Lmao!!! Help!!!!
Avatar f tn So 20 minutes after that I threw up uncontrollably again, after that, the bulge in both of my thighs were gone and that confirmed it was trapped gas. When I set up late, excess gas must be building up and causing me to vomit, and now it has gotten to where if I don't go to sleep even exactly on time or a little before, I toss my food. Just last night, I went to sleep just 15 minutes after I should have, at 7, and this morning after I already had slept, I dry heaved for thirty minutes.
Avatar m tn Another reason I feel that it is not a problem is due to the health advantages that coffee has, according to many health studies and reports (assuming this is not just propaganda). I have found that whether or not I drink coffee, the symptoms remain. Another bit of history that I have not revealed is that I am a Gulf War veteran and was in Saudi Arabia / Kuwait / Iraq throughout a one year period.
Avatar f tn After my procedure the pain was bad, the man that was taking care of me after in recovery told me to lie on my left side and let them rip!!! As soon as I relieved all the gas, pain went away. The pain is GAS. The nausea could be from them working on you, do not forget your intestines do attach to your stomach. He also found 4 more polyps, all good. And as far as the anesthesiologist is concerned, they do their job right, the patient only went under twilight.
Avatar f tn ve been trying to eat healthy and I have shrimp salads or chicken salads for dinner, breakfast is usually kix cereal or honey nut cherios with a banana and coffee. For lunch just have a sandwich on a healthy bread and use mustard instead of mayo. For snacks I enjoy fruit , pretzels, yogurt, rice cakes, or carrots. There's a great website called myfitnesspal.com it has been helping me out alot! Goodluck and I hope this helped!
Avatar m tn Oh, yeah, sounds like a classic case of IBS to me. Believe it or not, anti-anxiety or anti-depressants actually help with IBS. It's just a matter of finding the right one for you. You're so lucky that you can have regular bowel movements! Many of us are not, which is why we're on this forum. As long as your stool is NOT diarhea at this point, since you are diagnosed with IBS, I wouldn't obsess over it. Make mention of it to your doctor the next time you see your doctor.
Avatar n tn I am 24 weeks pregnant tomorrow with baby #3 and the sleepless nights are starting to kick in. I really want, and need some coffee but I am nervous to drink it while pregnant. I know having a little caffeine is not bad and I have a soda every now and then but I've never had caffeinated coffee during any of my pregnancies. What do y'all think?
Avatar f tn I have similar very sharp pain but it is gas. I take gas X tablets (I know you don't like meds) but I take a whole days dose which is 6 pills in a 24 hour period when I get it. But if you get it every night then it may be reflux. If so you may need an upper GI to check out what it is. I have reflux too and that maybe why so sometimes I get stomach pain but the reflux I get I don't feel regurgitation or acid in my throat it is higher up and so I don't feel it.
Avatar n tn I also have sleep apnea and have to sleep with a mask at night. One Doctor recommended gas tampo-nade whereas a second doctor recommended silicone oil. I had cataract surgery in 2001 in the right eye. I was very short-sighted previos to the cataract surgery. Which vitrectomy method is better for me? I live in Berlin, Germany.
Avatar n tn a particularly fibrous vegetable, a lot of meat, a large meal. It might stress. It might be gas. It might just be twitch. If it continues to happen over the next few days, contact a doctor, as it might indicate a possible stomach nerve or muscle issue. In the meantime, keep your diet very simple: boiled vegetables and soft foods: nothing that would stress your stomach out. (Nix the coffee, extra fibrious veggies like raw collard greens, and fried/fatty foods.
Avatar m tn For the past few days I've had pain right above my hip but its not severe and i don't have any other symptoms but I'm very scared right now because i think i have appendicitis i don't want surgery...my mom who is a nurse said that it cannot be that because the pain i describe isn't severe and that i should lay off the coffee that i drink.
755829 tn?1246919225 Hi there, I provide some basic advice on other forums, but am looking for some advice of my own now, I am wondering if there are health benefits in cutting out coffee and replacing it with decafe coffee, some friends say its good others say it's no better?
87972 tn?1322661239 Wow, so many stimulating topics in here lately! NYGirl asked why we like those gas guzzling cars so much, so I thought I’d start this thread on gas guzzlers. Here’s a Czech special that we all love from years ago: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tatra_%28car%29 The Tatra eight-wheel drive T813 'KOLOS' is one of my all time favorites! Thanks for the fascinating topic, Deb!
Avatar f tn It is great that you are looking out for your own health and the baby. There are different studies about coffee drinking while pregnant. It is still recommended not to drink caffeine drinks: coffee, teas, sodas (Coke, Pepsi, Mountain Dew to name a few). Decaf drinks do have a minimal amount of caffeine, however, they are safer to drink. Suggest increasing your consummation of water, which is a healthy benefit. Thank you for your question.
Avatar f tn Yes..you need to steer clear of raw fish and fish high in mercury and deli meat that hasn't been microwaved for over 2 minutes. Sugar substitutes in moderation and one cup or coffee a day.
Avatar f tn Can I drink coffee being pregnant? I looked online and got conflicting results saying it was okay. But others said dont even think about it. It would be caffanated coffee. Obviously I don't want to hurt my baby but pumpkin spice coffee is calling my name.
