Avatar n tn s office should be able to give you a referral to an established clinic that specializes in digestive health. You will be able to get as many enemas that will benefit you the most and at the proper frequency from that clinic.
458072 tn?1291415186 I also do coffee enemas regularly...Non-decaf natural coffee and natural filter..I try to do this early in the day and feel a difference.
Avatar m tn which is safer, colonics or enemas This discussion is related to enema's?.

1763947 tn?1334055319 I think it helps reduce the ringing in my ears. I bought all the components to do coffee enemas, but my hubby and mom talked me out of doing them. Some Lymies insist they feel better after the enemas.
Avatar f tn I am a first time mother with only 5 days left until my due date. I've done this all natural so far not taking anything except Tylenol and prenatals.I really don't want to accidentally induce labor. Is there anything I can do to relieve constipation that's safe this far into pregnancy?
7913021 tn?1418048620 I agree with Ashleigh, coffee helps me. I was doing enemas almost every other day. I finally resulted into taking a small amount of castor oil. Due in less than a week so if it assisted with starting labor i sad fine. I tthrew it all up but had a clean system that lasted two days. Back to trying coffee because castor oil experience wasn't a good one.
Avatar f tn My parents and I have been doing it over the past few months. We boil coffee to do enema with enema buckets that we have already. The reason I started doing it is because of constant fatigue, always feeling tired and of course, my bowel movements are not so constant. After the first time doing, I felt some improvement. After each time I do enema I feel better and better. Until the last few times I did I start to have this pain I mentioned, which worries me.
Avatar f tn Yep and this helps quite a bit, to draw water into the colon. I don't have a problem with hard stool though - they are almost always soft. I have a hard time fully expelling all the stool that is there. I also have very weak peristalsis - so the 'urge' to go isn't very strong. It tends to get strong and then leave as I get to the toilet.
Avatar f tn If this is the case, while the enemas will help, a quicker addition to your effforts is to get those little clear plastic gloves in the pharmacy, put plain KY jelly on a few fingers, and gently get in there and pop some of it out, continue until you tire. It should come out either in balls or chunks of balls, and by getting some out, the rest of the waste will come rolling down more, at least what's at the very bottom.
Avatar m tn If so, can you please advice whats the procedure you took and how long did it take you to have regular natural bowel movements and whether you put on any weight? Thankyou...
Avatar n tn He is again on Prednisone. He takes the steroid enemas most days to maintain. His doctor is going to be putting him on Imuran (an immune supressant) which should force a long remission but I am nervous about the side effects. What you are feeling is as is expected and it will improve once you heal some more. You will feel normal again. Pay close attention to your disease. Keep your appointments and get in there if you feel an attack coming on. You need to hit it off at the pass.
Avatar f tn t worked well for me. Nurses expect enemas to clear you out properly, and this never seems to happen for me (my most-recent experience of an enema 3 years ago involved heavy uncontrollable anal flow for the next three days, as opposed to my normal slight annoying staining). I found somebody online who discovered she had 'incomplete bowel evacuation' from having a hospital MRI of her rectal function.
Avatar n tn My first effort would be a series of coffee enemas. A series being 1-2 per day for as long as it takes to get the bile flowing again. Lots of vit C also. Look up CEs, glutathione, castor oil packs over liver, whole lemon olive oil drink, Hulda Clark Liver cleanse recipe.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, i have a 9am appt. Tomorrow with my o.b. where i will be discussing this with her as well.
Avatar f tn Add me to the list of well wishers !!! Will be thinking of you.. Marty: speaking of the old days, do you remember "coffee enemas" Can't remember what on earth they were for , but I do remember them..I guess they would never be "till clear".. Paula, again--- the very best wishes for you...
Avatar f tn I'm surprised your OB isn't treating this as serious. Did they feel your belly to see if you're all stocked up in there because that isn't healthy for you or baby. Constipation is common, especially in early pregnancy. You aren't supposed to use enemas during pregnancy but if you don't have a BM soon they're only going to suck it out in the hospital. A home remedy is taking chipped bar soap, about a half teaspoon and putting it inside your anus as far as it can go.
Avatar f tn I'm extremely constipated and haven't gone to the bathroom in literally a week... can I take any laxatives?
Avatar f tn Hi ladies! So my mom and MIL have said that when I go into labor they will give me an enema so I googled it and a lot of what I've read says not to take it...I was just wondering what your opinions are.
Avatar f tn Following a recent appointment with my gastroenterologist I have been told to stop the enemas because my diagnosis is probably post infective ibs and there is nothing more that can be done for me. My problem is that when I stop the enemas the bloody diarrhea returns and I become very ill. I would be grateful for your opinions on the results of my biopsies in correlation with my symptoms and advice on how I could proceed?
Avatar m tn I think it depends on the type of enema. Using enemas frequently for constipation can cause your rectum to "forget" how to have a bowel movement naturally. Using enemas for "colon cleansing", I believe is not good, because your colon doesn't need any cleansing, it does this itself.
Avatar n tn Six years, wow. I think you have constipation. If your bowels are sluggish, the waste stays in there, and thus gas builds up. Also, the toxins from waste have to go somewhere, so you sweat them out, which causes the odor. The symptom that tipped me off is when you said you try to go and cannot. And since it's been going on a long time, constipation can be like that. Some folks are that way for various reasons.
