Avatar f tn Ugh!!! The joys of pregnancy :/ I am not a coffee drinker, so when I get constipated I drink coffee and it usually does the trick. Also, watch what you're eating. Don't want to be eating too much cheese...
Avatar m tn The side effects of anti depressants vary from person to person. We all react differently. If what you are feeling is unbearable, perhaps you could ask your doctor to prescribe something else. But be aware, another drug could have different side effects. Over the 20+ years I have taken anti depressants, I have experienced quite a few different side effects. Effexor was the best drug I ever took. I did well on it. Whereas others have given me side effects I could not handle.

Avatar n tn I do smoke cigarettes and have coffee every day, which may also increase these side effects. I am nervous for my health, but do realize that for the most part I never get these tics or nervousness in my heart. My heart rate usually does not increase and I do not have shortness of breath.

Avatar f tn My parents and I have been doing it over the past few months. We boil coffee to do enema with enema buckets that we have already. The reason I started doing it is because of constant fatigue, always feeling tired and of course, my bowel movements are not so constant. After the first time doing, I felt some improvement. After each time I do enema I feel better and better. Until the last few times I did I start to have this pain I mentioned, which worries me.
Avatar n tn Coffee should never be used an enema... perhaps you aren't familiar with an enema... you need to discuss this with your doctor. It's not a good weight loss option and I would not trust any doctor who recommended it for weight loss. Eating a healthy diet, with moderate exercise is the best way to lose weight.

Avatar n tn lelet- Phsopho soda is is available at most pharmacies, and is used to prepare the intestines for examination like colonoscopy or barium enema. It is a strong laxative and you will feel the effects for several hours, so don't leave the house! The taste is kind of weird - a bit oily. I have a tough time getting it down even when mixed with something I like, and still have to just hold my nose and gulp it.
Avatar m tn Defecation is easier if I put lubrication in my anal canal and take a hose and shoot some water inside for an enema. Coffee enemas were in the Merck Manual until 1972 and male gays do this all the time, so I regard all the precautions and "dangers" listed on various websites as a product of the sissy culture now spreading in the English speaking world.

755829 tn?1246919225 I recommend cutting out all coffee. But if you must drink coffee then yes, I would say that decaff is better than regular coffee. Decaff contains little to no caffeine while regular coffee contains high amounts of caffeine. Caffeine can cause MANY problems. I would name them all but it would take me a very long time. Look at this website for further information on caffeine and the side effects it has. Some you have probably already had and didn't even notice.

Avatar f tn A good cup of dark roast coffee always helps me. And don't feel weird asking those kids of questions here...luckily were all in the same boat and many of us have experienced constipation at one point or another during pregnancy...along will all the other gross stuff lol.
