Avatar m tn excedrin is 250mg asprin 250mg of tylenol in each tablet plus 65mg caffeine. perhaps a suggestion is that you could slowly substitute a dose of just regular asprin/tylenol in place of an excedrin that contains caffeine. then slowly reduce this dose. i should clarify what i said before. caffeine causes rebound headaches...as many are well aware. NSAIDs also cause rebound headaches when used daily...

Avatar f tn No its not caffeine addiction, one of the ingredients in tylonal is caffeine. It's works faster cause soda is a liquid, and tylonal is a pill, it has to go through your whole body beforeit has an effect. Liquid travels faster. I don't take medication or pills or anything so when i have a headache i drink a soda or coffee.
9704378 tn?1553726192 re just having a cup or two of unsweetened coffee or tea in the morning, caffeine can be a pretty benign addiction (guilty) in the sense that there's no proven detriment to your health. Sugar, especially in soda, is another story. Soda is basically liquid sugar, and too much of it poses some serious health risks (diabetes, obesity) as well as really messing with your mood and energy levels. I'd try weaning off it if you can, it's bad for you for sure.
1355431 tn?1369975306 There does come occasions where any addiction can hamper attaining a goal. Soda is a three fold addiction. Your not addicted to any one thing. Soda habit really consists of three parts, the caffeine dependence, sugar addiction, and then there's the oral fixation to constantly drink something. Getting yourself off a stimulant is the part that people usually talk about when the subject of soda addiction arises.
Avatar f tn Try coffee. Ice coffee or sumthin mixed then drink water afterwards. I been having headaches and that's the only thing that helps.

Avatar f tn Replace the APAP by taking Tylenol throughout the day, along with some coffee or tea. We withdraw from the APAP as well and that causes the rebound headache. Fluids help the headache, as well. Are you having restless legs, arms, body? That's where the Hyland's restful legs tabs will help. Taking potassium and magnesium in the form of capsules or food helps and the Epsom salts in a hot bath is wonderful.
Avatar f tn Is there anyone in tge Brampton Ontario area who may want to go have a coffee, I could really use someone to talk to this is so hard....
Avatar f tn Try drinking a caffeine soda or coffee if your like most ladies I've noticed you probably cut caffeine and that will give you a head ache.
Avatar f tn I had some back pain but then Tuesday morning it started with the headache. I went to the ER yesterday and they gave me fluids and had me drink a lg coffee. They discussed a blood patch but the anesthesiologist couldn't do it for a few hrs and we were getting a bad storm. They sent me home with pain meds and told me to go back today if I still had a headache. Well ...big surprise I have a headache. My question is should I just tough it out or return for the patch?
Avatar f tn So I'm not a smoker, a drinker or a drug user like at all but I have recently taken up an iced coffee addiction and I was wondering if it's really bad to drink a glass once a day? I do have a weakness for soda however because my iced coffee addiction is more important I've substituted that for juice so I can have my iced coffee so I don't feel too guilty about all the caffeine. And what's worse is I hate drinking water.... I know I have to but it's so hard. Any advice?
Avatar f tn I get at least one migraine a month. A cup of tea or coffee first then soak your feet in warm water and put a cold cloth or an ice pack on the back of your neck (while soaking feet).

Avatar f tn A fatal dose of caffeine would be 10 grams of coffee or about 80 cups of coffee all at once. While you are not likely drinking anywhere near a fatal dose, you are probably experiencing some serious consequences from your heavy intake of caffeine. Are you addicted to the caffeine?
2189355 tn?1339190167 Im 7 weeks too, I barley get headache .. only if I don't eat enough ... you should tried get as much rest you can ,drink a lot of water and eat .
Avatar f tn A small cup of coffee wouldn't hurt as long as your doctor hasn't already sworn it off. Something in the caffine gets rid of the pain. I actually think that's one of the ingredients on Tylenol.
1148241 tn?1294052796 Coffee is my other addiction. Someday i may try to taper down but not today!!
17339814 tn?1489798076 If you have no other SX and your pain is bilateral (both sides) than it sounds more like a nasty headache. There are Headache and Migraine Centers and/or Physicians that specialize in the treatment of Headaches and Migraines. If you are obtaining no pain relief or reasons from your current Medical Practitioner than it may be time to consult the specialists. I'd use your Search Engine to locate information on Migraines and Headaches. There is a lot of information available.
