Avatar m tn Hi. I've been on these boards a long time. My last failed treatment had to fail because about 9 weeks into the treatment, I developed retinal hemmorhaging. My husband (we've divorced now, but not because of this). He had to do my shot that night into the back of the forearm because I felt so awful. As he prepared the medication, I had to keep correcting what he was doing.
Avatar n tn my son takes clonidine, he has adhd and the drugs he takes to treat the adhd stop him sleeping so he takes the clonidine for that. didnt know it could be used to help with w/d's, apparently clonidine started life as a treatment for high blood pressure but now has many uses. dont know if there are w/d's from clonidine but my sons doc told us never to take him straight of it because it would cause his blood pressure to rocket.
Avatar m tn Can someone give me either the symptoms or the timeline for an Ibuprofen overdose? And what's going to happen if I don't get treatment? I've taken approx. 40 200mg ibuprofen tablets, 32 hours ago.
Avatar n tn I overdosed two days ago on ibuprofen and still feel off. Should I seek treatment? Would it still help? Would I be a suicide risk?

Avatar n tn Emergency medical treatment should be summoned at the first possible indication of a Ritalin overdose, as a sense of urgency could mean the difference between life and death, in this type of an emergency situation. The treatment protocol for a Ritalin overdose can vary depending on a various factors such as how much of the drug has been taken or if the medication has been combined with alcohol or any other types of drugs.
Avatar m tn Doctors also gave resperidone and a sleeping tablet for 2 weeks after treatment I was fine while I was using these tablets.
Avatar f tn Two months ago I experienced an overdose on excedrin, clonidine and benadryl and recovered. At the time, I was informed of a potential heart murmur. Lymph nodes have been tender and large for years but one has become hard in the last month. I occasionally have moments where I loose a couple seconds and get startled. I get random, painless muscle spasms quite regularly. I normally have lower blood pressure floating around 120/55.

Avatar m tn After I my thryoid totally removed (along with one parathyroid) and had I 131 treatment in Sept of last year, the doctor put me on 5000 units of Vitamin D 2000mg of Vitamin C per day. Is this replacing something that the parathyroid or thyroid was producing. My wife says that 5000 units of Vit. D is considered an overdose. Is anyone else doing this kind of thing?
Avatar n tn As Mollyrae suggested I think it was the shock along with the treatment he was getting that may have caused the cardiac arrest. Stress on the heart could have been caused by the shock the pain meds and the stress of what happened combined. You probably will never know what did cause it, I would advise you instead of worrying why it happened to focus on the healing and of course thank God as I am sure you have that your husband is alive and well and healing now.
Avatar n tn I know it is a powerful drug, neither my cardiologist nor the consulting EP would allow me to try to drug for treatment of my permanent AFib unless I was willing to check into the hospital for the introduction of the drug. I have seen many post on this Community of people who started Flecainide without behing hospitalized for the initiation. I think prescribing that drug "over the counter" is common place in Canada (not sure where I read that) and maybe in many other countries.
