Also, the infection has been treated with numerous antibiotics (amoxicillin, flagyl, omnicef, augmentin, clindamycin), and all seem to help at first, but only clindamycin has lasting effects. Not even augmentin worked. Any idea on what kind of bacteria would respond to clindamycin but not augmentin?
has given me 10 days of clindamycin to be taken 3 times a day at a dose of 450 mgs. this is fine, i can take clindamycin with no ill effects.
HOWEVER, i have read that this drug is not commonly used to treat std's as there are so many better options. Is clindamycin going to work??? Thanks.

about a year ago i was proscribe clindamycin and ever since then i been having problems i was taking it after i got my root canal done i was taking it four times a day of 300mg one day i had uncontrollable diarrhea that was orange i kept taking the the medication for a few more days and i kept on having diarrhea then i stopped taking it. it took about a week to stop having diarrhea but then my pooh started to have mucus in it.

Most of the time, after each visit I get a mild breakout of small pimples that go away in a few days. There was one located on the left side right at the line where the hair ends. it rubbed against my shirt and/or coat collar and became infected (after I picked at it). By my dr and the test came back -. My GI seems to think I my gallbladder was the culprit sent me for an ultrasound and that came back - for gallbladder problems. It did point out that I have a slightly fatty liver though. Can an ultrasound miss gallbladder issues?
