493068 tn?1224765315 Cetaphil Cleanser followed by Clindamycin followed by a moisturizer followed by a gentle sunscreen such as Cetaphil or one of the Blue Lizard products. Evening: Alternate Metrogel 1% gel on nose and affected areas with either OTC Rezamid (stronger) or Sodium Sulfaxetamide 10% and Sulfur 5% lotion. If any scaling, I then add Elidel Cream. Sometimes I mix all three together and apply depending on whether there's more redness, more postules or more scaling.
Avatar m tn Wash face with Cetaphil Gentle Cleanser, followed with a Clindamycin (antibiotic) solution followed by either Cetaphil Moisturizer and then a sunscreen (summer) or Cetaphil Moisturizer with built-in sunscreen (winter). Evenings: Wash face with Cetaphil Gentle Cleanser followed by Metrogel 1% or "Sodium Sulfacetamide1%and Sulfur 5% Lotion" on alternate evenings. Often I replace the Sodium Sulfacetamide with OTC Rezamid lotion.

6868372 tn?1385568674 As was said acne in general is very common especially in teenage years. There are many ways to help reduce it. You can get it on your face or back. Some of the treatments over the counter are: Oxy 10, Stridex, and prescriptions: Cleocin T, (clindamycin antibiotic topical), and accutaine. There are others as well. A whole plant based diet with no added oil will lower the amount of extra oil in your system and thus less oil. Oily foods make acne worse. Read the Starch Solution by Dr.
Avatar n tn Hello, For sensitive skin and slight rosacea, you can use Cetaphil moisturizer or Cetaphil cleansing lotion. Even products of Aveeno and Eucerin lotion. Also for rosacea, avoid the sun and hot weather, spicy foods, alcohol, and hot beverages. Also try to reduce stress as it may precipitate attacks. Avatar f tn Try Cetaphil restoraderm...safe to use and so moisturizing#!!
948202 tn?1245941816 It has hyaluronic acid in the form of a serum. Also, i use clindamycin phosphate lotion to prevent breakouts during the day. If i add this underneath the clindamycin, will it stop the clindamycin from working? Will the serum cause breakouts? It says it is for all skin types. Should i maybe use the hydrating complex after i use the clindamycin? I am 24 yr old female still experiencing some breakouts.
Avatar f tn You need a better lotion. Eucerin & Cetaphil are great.
Avatar f tn I would not use the Gold Bond lotion described in the groin area as it could potentially irritate as opposed to helping because of some of the ingredients. What you describe could be from the ribavirin, but it could also be found on nature, even psoriasis from the interferon. If you have confidence in your treatment Dr., best to have your husband go in to show them the rash if it persists, but by all means call on Monday. Alternatively, see a dermatologist.
Avatar f tn 25 year old female, caucasian, extremely fair skin with freckles (blond / red hair), with very pink cheeks, family history of skin cancer (paternal grandfather), extremely dry skin in general (I only use Eucerin shower oil- no soap, eucerin lotion after showering, and carmol for keratosis pilaris). I have always had delicate skin and regularly use Oil of Olay SPF 30 sensitive skin daily moisturizer but I am still getting dry & red patches on my face.
Avatar f tn My dermatologist said to use Cetaphil Restoraderm Body Wash and Cetaphil Restoraderm Body Lotion. That has helped somewhat, but more damage has occurred. My skin feels raw sometimes, but not often itchy. Recently, a sunken oval area has developed, approximately 1.5 cm x .5 cm. It feels like my skin is getting eaten away. How can I restore the moisture barrier on my face?
9156053 tn?1406059654 Yeah unfortunately part of pregnancy. I developed a mild case of excema but use cetaphil lotion and wash with Shea butter bodywashes. It helps.
Avatar f tn Should I continue to wash my face daily with Cetaphil and rub with lotion? Would it affect the growth of the new skin? For instance, say if the skin is growing back & I washed my face and my skin just happens to peel off again during washing; what should I do? I need answers; write back ASAP! Thanks.
Avatar m tn You can also treat acne by cleaning your face regularly with Cetaphil, using mild skincare products, applying antibacterial topical medications like Clindamycin. With the help of the doctor, the treatment of oral antibiotics, contraceptive pills, retinoids, cortisone injections, chemical peels and laser treatment can be your choices. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided.
Avatar n tn Calamine lotion should be ok but my not cure the problem. Some times antibiotics are recommended too.
Avatar f tn Thanks! Does lotion or like cetaphil moisturizer help?
302287 tn?1201295668 Welcome to riba rash time! I'm only in week #2 and have been covered with it for several days...Lotion, Aveeno bath and body oil, and benedryl if it gets to itching too bad...Are you drinking lots of water and staying hydrated? good luck!
Avatar f tn It could be either you are allergic to something in the lotion or your face is a bit too raw. I would try some cetaphil lotion. It can be really soothing. It was recommended by a doctor several years ago when my hand were like that, too. I use a very light application of Hydrocortisone on my face when it gets really bad. My allergist said this is the best choice. I usually apply a lotion after that then it doesn't sting. Good luck.
Avatar n tn Mine are also dry which is strange because they're usually just normal. I've been using a gardeners' hand cream they sell here in South Africa at a place called Crabtree & Evelyn. It works well for about 6 hours at a time. They also make a great waxy lip balm which helps out with dry lips from mouth breathing caused by congestion. Maybe you can also find an equivalent designed for gardeners' hands?
Avatar f tn I used "Cetaphil" as a soap substitute, even when showering (it's Ph balanced) to pre-empt any dermatology problems and it appeared to work although I got very dry and 'thin' skin. A chemist may be able to assist, but if you get no joy, hopefully your doc can prescribe something to help.
Avatar m tn My skin was in really bad shape at that time and it WAS worth it! In the shower I use Head and Shoulders, Cetaphil Gentle Cleansing Lotion, and then Aveeno Shower and Bath Oil. For my nasal passages and corner of mouth sores I use Boroleum, which I mentioned previously in another thread and Ihave used it for years. I plan on getting a humidifier very soon now that the temp is dropping and the heat is on more regularly.
Avatar f tn I've had this rash for quite a few years now I went to the Dermatologist recently he prescribed me 1 % Clindamycin Lotion Lotion that hasn't done anything for it.. he told me it is a minor fungal rash.. I've tried everything Jock Itch Food Powder.. Clotrimazole Cream.. I've tried home remedies Aloe and a few others.. nothing it getting it to go away. The Doctor also told me I may have minor psoriasis but I researched the rash and it doesn't look anything like it.
