Avatar m tn I had to have a root canal redone as my previous dentist did not get the whole nerve and it became infected. The Dentist put me on amoxicillin 875mg twice a day, after 6 days I called him as it was having no effect. he then put me on clyndamycin 300mg twice a day, this is day two, it seemed better this morning and by this afternoon it isswelling slightly the tissue above my tooth is spongie again and I can tell it's filling with pus.
Avatar f tn Alternatively, you can take clindamycin for the bv and drink a boat load of cranberry juice for the UTI and water of course. It will take longer to clear up the UTI but it should work. It did for me in a pinch. It just took a couple of extra days. Of course if you are diabetic you can't.
Avatar f tn Its like every month since July I have to take a dose of clindamycin HCl twice a day for seven days... July I took flagyl for two days was allergic to it so they gave me clindesse vaginal cream for my baby! Then august found out I still have it and they have me take this clindanycin HCl tablet. Then august 27th, ugh I still have it!! They're making me take the same ****. Sorry im just a lil bit disappointed nor upset. Yup its clindamycin HCl again for seven days twice a day!
Avatar m tn I was recently diagnosed with a UTI caused by strep type B, and was given Clindamycin for ten days. Shortly after, I noticed several small, wavy skin areas, and when I stretched the head of my penis, they were tiny, flesh or white colored bumps about the size of a pen point. My anxiety has been through the roof because about two months ago my girlfriend had blisters come up on her vagina, and she was tested for herpes, but all three tests were negative.
Avatar f tn Amoxicillin, Clindamycin, and Capadex (for my stomach problems). My dosage of the antibiotics are very high and I will be taking it for about 2 months. He believes I may H pyelori as well as Lymes because of my reoccurring ulcers. I am getting a more sensitive test for h Pyelori as well. I am also taking or about to Amrix for muscle pain. Has anyone taken this? I am afraid to take it because I am afraid a muscle relaxer might make me more tired and my fatigue is overwhelming.
Avatar f tn I would call your dr immediately and get switched to another antibiotic and see if you need to go to er. I am currently on penicillin for my tooth infection after root canal. It is working for me and not many issues.
Avatar f tn Chlamydia has never shown resistence to the macrolide antibiotics such as azithromycin nor the tetracylines such as doxycycline. Clindamycin has no effectiveness for treating Chlamydia. Cipro is iffy for both Chlamydia and Enterococcus infections. Ask your Doctor to be sure that the Enterococcus is not a resistent strain , as this is becoming more of a problem, especially here in the US. I hope you are well soon. Take care.
Avatar n tn Amoxicillin is fine if it's the correct antibiotic. Dental infections can be from either an aerobic bacteria or anaerobic bacteria. Having the correct antibiotic is VERY important. I urge you to at least call your dentist for approval before you treat a dental abscess yourself. Amoxicillin may be fine, but you may need something like clindamycin instead. Also, it's very important that a FULL dose is taken for dental infections.
Avatar f tn Notice right away that it smelled a lot like asparagus. Not sure if this normal. Have been on antibiotic Macrobid for a small UTI and the week before on clindamycin 300mg 2x day. Could not handle that. Beside the Dentist told me I had infection, when in reality I did not. Took that for no reason. So long story short. Any advice for why it smells like this?
Avatar m tn You could try using an antibiotic ointment such as clindamycin over it and see if this seems to help. If you do not notice any improvement, I would suggest getting this evaluated by a primary care physician or a dermatologist for an accurate diagnosis and appropriate management. Hope this helps. Take care!
Avatar m tn I am having Acne vulgaris on my face for the past seven years. Now I am 20 and I am Male. I used to take some ointments(clindamycin, benzoyl peroxide) but that had only temporary effects. Of late, I have started taking medications on the advice of a doctor who says that I have reached the Gr.IV satge of acne. It is given as follows: Isotretinoin 20 mg twice daily, body weight being 50 kg.
Avatar f tn I have some clindamycin but not sure if that is an appropriate medication for a cat. he weighs 11 lbs.
Avatar f tn I'm not sure if it's bacteria in the back of my throat behind my tonsils. Do people normally have food particles? I'm still taking medicine, Clindamycin. I've taken like 21 pills and have 7 left but the white stuff behind my tonsils isn't going away. Only the white stuff on my tonsils went away.
Avatar m tn Hi, I took Clindamycin 300 mg 3x a day. I only finished 12 out of 21 pills as I feared the high risk of colitis associated with this drug. My question is that after stopping the medication about 3 days ago, I am having long (6"+), loose stools. Could this be c. diff? I also have a lot of gas throughout the day, some mild abdominal pain too.
Avatar f tn I have foul discharges everyday, I was subjected to many antibiotics and I was also diagnosed to have UTI. Does these things contributed to the foul discharges I have? or are there any other reasons?
Avatar n tn I wouldn't even treat for "possible infection" with either. I'd wait for test results to come back to see if you even have either of them. clindamycin isn't going to help for either if you should be infected with either of them. you are wasting your time and money by taking it.
Avatar f tn They calledme bavk Wednesday to tell me that I tested positive for chlamydia. They prescribed me Clindamycin. The dosage is 300mg 4 times a day for 7 days. But I can't take it. It makes me so sick and makes me feel like my throat is swelling closed. Anybody else experienced this? Or know what else I can take? I'm going to call my OB in the morning. But I'm scared they are going to tell me that there is nothing else for me. Ugh.
Avatar f tn I had bv and could not get rid of it for the life of me. Did research for years on cures and recently researched what kills bacteria and came across lemon juice. It is just amazing. Works just like that too. I know douching is bad but I've only did it once to kill all the infection.
Avatar f tn I know I've had BV for a couple of months (since I finished a course of antibiotics for previous UTI caused by e.coli). The odor after intercourse is a clear sign. I did not want to see my doctor AGAIN for a problem "down there" , so I just lived with it. Now I have another UTI! Preliminary path. report states:" 50x10(6) CFU/L Gram negative Bacilli. Identification and susceptibility to follow. " I really don't want to go on meds again, but probably have no choice.
Avatar f tn After another round of tests and a visit to my LLMD, he pronounced my kidneys "back to normal." Yay!! He upped my dose of clindamycin and said in a month to switch to doxy. He wanted to wait until we're further into fall weather as I am very fair skinned. First time I will have taken doxy, and it'll be just shy of a year from diagnosis. I feel every dosage increase and new antibiotic I take.
Avatar f tn I just am afraid and still stress due to personal things. Is this pretty normal for BV? Even though everything else was fine? No cysts no uti or Kidney infection I am scared.
Avatar n tn I have had a yellow discharge on and off for like 2-3 months I get antibiotics but it comes back I do not have a good diet and do not have periods not sexually active whats wrong with me??? I am on my 3rd day of antibiotics but still have a runny yellow discharge does it usually take more than 3 days to stop discharge???
Avatar f tn I visited an urgent care center a month ago, and was diagnosed with Bacterial Vaginitis & a UTI. I was given Macrobid & Clindamycin. Finished treatment with those, and I still had some burning after urination, not really during, but afterwards. It was a very uncomfortable heated sensation that I couldn't really pinpoint. So I saw my regular doctor, not an ob/gyn.
