I was prescribed clindamycin after experiencing pain in my tooth after a root canal. I took a double dose (600mg) of clindamycin as I missed a dose. I am experiencing severe pain from my chest through to my back. It feels like spasms and is difficult to breath. I normally take nexium on a daily basis; however I missed my dose of that too. I did take my nexium but I have felt absolutely no relief whatsoever.

Im 20 years old. I have acne scars and pimples . I went to a Dermatologist and he recommended me to use adapalene & clindamycin phosphate gel but now my face gets burning sensation and has got shine wherever I used that product. also the pimples which I had is turning into some kind of mark. I discontinued using after 10 days. Will it be proper by itself?

has given me 10 days of clindamycin to be taken 3 times a day at a dose of 450 mgs. this is fine, i can take clindamycin with no ill effects. HOWEVER, i have read that this drug is not commonly used to treat std's as there are so many better options. Is clindamycin going to work??? Thanks.

behind my right ear was swollen, in reaction to the scalp thing. I have a history of allergies to antibiotics, but as far as we knew I could tolerate Clindamycin. So she decide to prescribe me Clindamycin 300mg three times a day. I took the fist two doses okay, but then started feeling as if i might have a reation? The very next pill is the one that did it to me... as the advice nurse said if you can continue to take the medicine try to but that was about it for me.

So I was going to switch, and after I stopped, I broke out with about 200 zits on my chest, a yeast infection, and 6days later, those are both going on, along with still being itchy. I tried taking clindamycin, but every time (with liquids, food, hidden in soft foods, etc) the pill lodges in my throat, then burns it raw for days. This happens with everywhere pill. I also now have a metallic taste in my mouth.

That night my gum on the right side in the back under my partially impacted wisdom tooth swelled up and it was uncomfortable, I guess that means there is an infection there. My medication Clindamycin 150mg was ready yesterday. I have taken this medication before with not problem but after my second dose my body became hot, like I am sweating on the inside. Tired of the whole thing I went to an Allergy doctor and he seems to think that it is NOT a food allergy or anything related to my laundry washes - he said it might be a fungal infection and told me to use Lotramin on it for 2 weeks and see how it goes. He also said I could get tested for common cosmetic ingredients, etc. but I don't put any of my skincare or makeup on my actual neck...

t seem to have problems with doxycycline, amoxicillin or clindamycin. Clindamycin destroys my stomach though. I avoid cipro and zithromax.

Also, i use clindamycin phosphate lotion to prevent breakouts during the day. If i add this underneath the clindamycin, will it stop the clindamycin from working? Will the serum cause breakouts? It says it is for all skin types. Should i maybe use the hydrating complex after i use the clindamycin? I am 24 yr old female still experiencing some breakouts. I have two failed implants due to infection which did not respond to Clindamycin. I also got a bad reaction to Clindamycin a feeling of big lump in throat, sore throat and severe heartburn. Also, the infection has been treated with numerous antibiotics (amoxicillin, flagyl, omnicef, augmentin, clindamycin), and all seem to help at first, but only clindamycin has lasting effects. Not even augmentin worked. Any idea on what kind of bacteria would respond to clindamycin but not augmentin?

Is an excruciating headache a sign of a reaction to clindamycin? I can't take it anymore, and my CT scan came back clean. I'm on the antibiotic as a preventative measure after sinus surgery (I'm about a week out). There's no infection, and all the drainage, etc. is normal.

I have googled Clindamycin and found that there is a link between torsades and Clindamycin. Is this drug in the same family as Erythromycin? Should I be safe and stop taking it. I have been taking it for 4 days and have 1 day left. My infection, which wasn't very bad to start with, is now gone. I have been having an increase of bradycardia and PVCs and I am a bit concerned. I have been prescribed Clindamycin to clear up a possible tooth infection. I was wondering if anyone has had any heart rhythm problems attributed to antibiotics. I wrote in to you and you suggested to try Clindamycin or another drug. I took two of them into the vet to get the Clindamycin. He looked at one and said "oh he just has bad teeth". I thought this is strange as his teeth were fine until he contracted this ailment. He looks at the female and right away and said cancer! He did no biopsy or testing nor did he offer to do such. I find this extremely odd that I would have 4 cats who come down with this baffling ailment at apx.

About 5 weeks ago I had all four of my wisdom teeth removed, and the oral surgeon prescribed me Clindamycin to prevent infection. A day or two after I finished my prescription I noticed that I wiped up a little blood on the toilet paper after going to the bathroom. I looked it up on the internet, and it said blood from the rectum could possibly be due to antibiotics, so I thought no big deal. I was also taking Ibuprofin and Vicodin for pain during the antibiotics.

it does sound like an infection, but in my opinion, it is too risky to give the baby the clindamycin w/ out taking him/her to the vet. Way too risky and clindamycin might not be the correct antibiotic for the kitten's problem. Please come back w/ an update. Wishing the best for the kitten.

Because I have an artificial joint I take 600mg of Clindamycin Prior to dental work. I han root canal done on a tooth under a permanent bridge a year ago by a General Dentist. One hour start to finish. It was infected, but I was never given any additional antibiotics. Since that time had an ongoing foul taste and odor when I used Water Flosser daily. The adjacent tooth became infected and also required a root canal. This time done by an Endadontist.

I recently had a wisdom tooth extraction and was prescribed Clindamycin to prevent the extraction area from becoming infected. I was prescribed this medication on 5/28/2014. I was directed to take it 3x a day until it was all gone. I took it for about a week straight.
