Common Questions and Answers about Clear skin for wedding

skin

Avatar f tn Dove and Olay work the best for me, don't over dry the skin. Then I pat dry and put Clean and Clear Persa Gel, works wonders! If my face gets dry, which it does every time the season change, I use Burt's Bees Res-Q Ointment. Burt's Bees also works beautifully on vanishing past acne scars.
Avatar n tn i guess i wasnt clear enough in my post about tanning. i should have said that for me personally/my experience, a tan seems to help conceal the bumpiness as opposed to when i am pastey white in the winter.i can see a difference. however, i also do not advocate tanning due to all of the dangers. i thought if she wanted to get through this one event a tan may be a temporary solution to help conceal lumpiness. i, like you, wondered the same thing...
Avatar f tn I sold mine at a wedding consignment store. Only got 1/4 of what I paid for it. You might want to see what you can get for it on ebay. Say it brought you good luck! My mother saved her dress for one of us girls to wear but it wasn't really any of our styles. I say sell it and make some money for a vacation or something fun.
Avatar n tn I have had a series of small clear dots appearing on my hands for over eight months now. A young PA diagnosed them as flat warts and froze them in the office. After several visits they persisted and my insurance stopped paying for the visits. I started freezing them off myself with Compound W freeze off. The freezing gets rid of the frozen ones but they continue to pop up. I have been looking at pictures of flat warts on the internet and they look nothing like what I have.
555329 tn?1232559114 Also buy something to cover what remains of the blemish for the wedding. I like Clinique's Blemish Solutions concealor which covers the spot whilst healing it. Apply concealor to the area after foundation. Clinique's new Almost Powder foundation provides good coverage and reduces the appearance of pores. There are lots of other good foundations which will cover imperfections. I like Estee Lauder's Maximum Coverage foundation and La Roche-Posay's Toleriane foundation.
Avatar f tn Please, try to enjoy your wedding preparations (move the focus from your skin to your heart), and be happy. We shall try to help you as much as possible with information relevant to your skin concerns. Description you provided is potential clinical description of many skin diseases (eczema, periorificial dermatitis, seborrhoic dermatitis, even rosacea, acne or folliculitis) – redness, dryness with feeling of skin tightness, and “spots” (what kind of spots you did not describe).
Avatar n tn I've had eczema in my ears for 15 yrs. It is very cyclical, starting w/intense uncontrollable itching, then clear fluid leaking from skin, followed by crusting over & flaking of skin in ears that is itchy in & of itself, leading to more scratching & picking at ears. The skin in my ears gets very damaged and ratty during outbreaks. I also have swelling of the ear canal after these itch/scratch episodes that are sometimes quite painful, & Motrin helps that. ENT Dr.
537731 tn?1268268886 Nope, it's not skin shedding. It's a kind of overproduction of mucus in response to irritation.
Avatar n tn The arguments are that it is good for you because you have to drink so much water your skin becomes hydrated, and secondly because you are sweating for an hour and a half your skin sweats out all of the toxins creating hydrated, clear skin. However, wouldn't being in a room that hot doing exercise for that long cause broken blood vessels? Could it in any way be bad for your skin? Thank you very much.
Avatar n tn Hello, From the symptoms it is clear that the dry itchy skin that you have can be due to eczema or atopic dermatitis after coming in contact with an allergen. What is the allergen needs to be found out. It is usually not the alcohol that produces the allergic reaction to the wine or beer. The other ingredients in the alcohol, such as yeast, sulfur dioxide, and additives are often the culprits.
Avatar f tn My doctor wants to do a second out patient surgery to remove the skin tags and clear out the fistula. Since I had such a bad reaction to the anesthia the first time, she wants to use an epidural and other medication to sedate me but not put me out completely. This time there would be no sutures, just open wounds to drain. That sounds so painful and scary. Given the fact that I've had so many complications already, I can't even begin to conceive the side effects of this.
Avatar f tn I have started to put lotion on the one where it replenishes the skin, and that helps the flaring stay down for a bit especially with hot showers which it normally flares up a lot then. If anyone has any kind of information please help. Honestly, I'm desperate, I'm sick of having this thing on my arm, and every dermatologist I go to has no idea what it is. Taken every pill, every type of creme, everything.
Avatar n tn I have been ttc for a few months with no luck. We had a m\c a in may. I am 4 dpo and have a lot of clear creamy discharge and very swollen and tender breast. could this be and early sign of pregnancy?
Avatar m tn Hi all, I've got an interesting one for you. Me and my fiancee woke up three days ago with random bumps on our hands, arms, neck and face that looked like small mosquito bites, except only slight to no itching. There's no pus or blistering so far. But we can't nail it down because of a few conflicting diagnoses. So I'm looking for any other ideas. Here's what we have so far: - Bedbugs: Possible. I spent last week traveling and could have brought them home.
Avatar n tn Thank you for the information. Your sister sounds like she had internal hemorrhoids. I have that as well but it was too soon for the doctor to put bands on them, as he wanted them to "settle" first (just had baby 2 months ago). The procedure I would like to learn about is for skin tag removal although my doctor said to just leave it and live with it since the pain is so excruciating that he would not want me to go through it.
Avatar n tn Immediate relief, and it seems to clear up the skin fissure really fast. The skin seems a lot better as well, not so sensitive. I do not use soap on the area anymore, and now only use a water based dermatologically tested lubricant. Hope that this helps.

748543 tn?1463449675 For the past few weeks I have been throwing around ideas as to the best way to respond to this matter. You see a recent article ( Feb.3 , 2009 NY times) titled "Best treatment for TMJ May be Nothing" nearly made me clench my jaw to pieces. While well written, I found that the author, Ms. Brody, relied heavily on out dated and narrow perspective supplied to her by a small group of dentists.
Avatar m tn Looks like you already have some great advice here, but I'll add in my long winded two cents. Yes, healthcare and insurance in the US is a messy labyrinth of complexities. Insurers vary greatly, and so what I've experienced with my insurance company could be very different from what your girlfriend is dealing with. In general, insurance companies decline to pay for long term treatment for Lyme Disease because they don't believe it's necessary.
Avatar f tn He quickly told me that they will NEVER heal if I don't leave them alone. I was put on a strict regimen for my skin. He had topicals compounded for me for maximum effectiveness. Been undergoing treatment for over four long months now but am making progress......I unfortunately still pick a little, maybe that is why I am not completely cured yet. I advise anyone that has these symptoms to go to a dermatologist. If that dermatologist looks at you like you are crazy...find a new one.
Avatar n tn I have purchased every product out there that offers any hope for crepey skin, wrinkles, anti-aging of any sort. While some products may work for some individuals, I haven't found anything that works with regularity. I guess the nice smell sometimes makes me feel like it is helping - ha! I guess aromatherapy is good too! I know this may sound silly, but would anyone want to start a coalition of sorts? My thought was to join forces, weed out the bad products and report back to the group.
Avatar n tn for example diprobase cream which is good for raw red skin, light liquid parafin which is good for irritant and dry skin. also ask for oilatum bath addictive which can be used for the face and body which locks in moisture. 9.) most important, dont touch the skin or itch it, try and aviod changing temperature or humidity rapidly. 10.) use natural moisturisers that can be brought over the counter the best one is Aveeno cream.
505857 tn?1329685117 He's on the internet he treats people who are really ill, the tests we go for are no good we all have different body chemistrys whats a right level for you won't be for me you could be border-line and very ill but not get treated so he is going gainst the grain to help people get there lives back. Read the book Tears Behind Closed Doors by Diane Holmes she was mis-diagnosed for over 25 years she was this morning once.

Avatar n tn SD is a non dangerous disease, but it makes outlook of the person to loose all his/her confidence level of the life and keeps the person busy in removing the flakes from his skin for all 24 hours. I had this disease for the past 15 years and tried all zinc tablets, Shampoo, all type of doctors, but no use. Finally now i am trying Homeopathy now and presently i am very much satisfied with the results.
Avatar n tn Compounded with alcoholism, my childhood memories of irrational, abusive, relationship destructive and venomous behavior remains very clear in my mind. My partner's (age 55) and I (43yrs old) visited her mother a few days ago when we attended the (third) wedding of my partner's niece (30 years old). We live over 400 miles away. The visit to her mother (age 79) brought very strong flashbacks to my own childhood.
Avatar f tn Yeah, Wedding budgets are a bugger. We're very lucky. My mother insisted on us having a wedding and is generously paying for it. (Oct 25) Otherwise, dh and I would just go to city hall instead. We have a fairly large budget but we are trying to use the money to pay our friends in their respective careers (ie, my costume designer friend is making my dress) or support good causes (we're doing the shindig at a old barn and church on a conservation park so that the money goes to the park).
Avatar n tn I always have to make sure that I put in something that is either real gold or silver ( not plated) or something for sensitive ears. I would recommend that for a few months you wear studs and keep them in for awile. I noticed that if they irritated and I left my earrings in, in a week it would go away. I would wait awhile to put in anything that is heavy and dangly you don't want it to get caught on something.
